Buyer beware that these are not what most people would consider "shoes." The best I can compare them to is thinly constructed water shoes. I fell for there advertising and believed I was ordering shoes. Unfortunately, I didn't investigate this product, as I usually do, and hadn't seen the TrustPilot reviews on this company. Honestly they should be ashamed of themselves for claiming these are valued at the retail price they are. They are worth about $20. In fact they are sold on Amazon for about $22-25, despite the fact their customer service rep said those aren't their shoes on Amazon. As with many here, I had to go through the hassle of reaching out to them once I realized I had been duped. Now, the shoes themselves are that bad for something to slip on and wear around the house. I've had no foot problems with them so really didn't want to go through the process of having to return them and really just wanted to pay a fair price. I negotiated a 50% discount from my original price which put the purchase price at around $31/pair. I can live with that. Gave them 2 stars vs. 1 due to the fact that they obviously have to give deeper discounts on a regular basis. Bottom line is if they would sell these for $25 and advertise them for what they are, most people wouldn't complain as much as they do. So don't fall for all the advertising on their website because honestly, I don't know how anyone would say these are great.
I am a fan
I am a fan! The shoes are so comfortable, have held up well, and look cool. I get lots of people asking about them. When I had a question recently, I had no trouble contacting them by email and the response and solution was exceptional. I have 3 pair.
the shoes offer no support and don't fit
SHOES WONDERFUL, COMPANY STINKS!
I LOVE THE SHOES. But I would NEVER recommend this company!! I ordered the shoes. Then I noticed it was going to the wrong address (I hadn't lived there for 4 years), BUT I couldn't correct it. I immediately notified the SUPPORT to change that address. I didn't hear from them for 4 days, only to say it has already been shipped and it was up to me to get them. Paypal would not give me a refund on it. Then I got a notice that - Hurray - they were delivered. So I drove 35 miles to pick them up at my old address. Fortunately, the guy was very nice when I told him my story, and he went inside and got the shoes for me. I will NEVER shop at this place again, NOR DO I RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE!!
Shipped to wrong address & refused issure credit
I ordered two pairs of shoes and they shippped to the wrong address and refused to recover them and or to reship to my address. They also refused to give me full credit for the shoes that I paid for and did not receive.
No risk return is not true
First off the sizes are not true sizes for the US. Got a half size bigger and still couldn't fit in them. Then after trying to return, I found out that their no risk guarenteed return is in fact a risk. I had to pay the return shipping for two pair ($20+) and while I got most the money back, they also deducted their shipping costs for sending to me. Not what I call no risk whe you can find the same shoes on other sites substantually cheaper, even cheaper than I paid for the shipping charges.
Wrong size
Wrong size, won't accept returns. The shoes I received were way to small. They said the would give me 15% back, and don't return. Do Not Buy from them!
ONLY order if you are lucky
First off - I LOVE the shoes! They have helped a lot with my back / knee pain! I am still waiting on the foot pain to completely go away tho!
That said - I would ONLY recommend this company if you have good luck in 1) ordering the right size shoes and 2) if you don't have to deal with the company.
I ordered the same size in the 'dressy' version as I did in the 'daily' version. They were WAY TOO SMALL! So I reached out and started a conversations with them. 18 emails later, after being told they don't have the size I requested in the one that I ordered so they want to send a different size. Then I accept the next size and then they tell me the ones I ordered were not available even in the bigger size that they asked me if I would be OK with. THEN they tell me they only have the citrus color ones, not the indingo blue ones. I tell them sure on the citrus colored ones in the same size I requested (7 in womens) well after 3 more emails, guess what - nope those are not available either. THEN I agree to a 7.5 in WOMENS and they ship me a 7.5 in MENS. So 3 weeks, a ton of time in email and still do not have anything I can wear. I am DONE with this company and knowing there are several other companies out there making these types of shoes (some are cheaper some are more expensive) I will be switching my buying power to another company.
Not worth the hassle
I was really excited to get these shoes. It suggests that you order a size up. I'm size 7, so I ordered 7.5. Well, they were wrong. The shoes run correct to the foot. So, now the shoes are too big. I called and requested a refund, so I can get my correct size. You pay for the shipping to receive the shoes and you have to pay the shipping again to return. If the shoes weren't so expensive I would keep them even though they are too big. So now I've over paid once, and won't pay again for a smaller size. This company is bullshit*t.
Fit true to size for me, but the soles are VERY thin
I got the black barefoot Grounded shoes ... not sure exactly what they're called and the webpage I found doesn't specify. Nor does it have a way to leave a review, so I don't know where they got the reviews posted on their site. Mine are low-cut black with orange dots on the soles. They fit well and are extremely flexible and lightweight. I don't know that I'll use them often, though, and will only wear them in the summer. There's not quite enough arch support for me, and the soles are so thin that the pebbles hurt when I walk on asphalt paths and streets. I felt the need to wear socks because of the ridges on the insole. When I didn't wear socks, the insole came out with my foot. I wish I'd known all this before I purchased. I learned an expensive lesson ... I need to touch and try on shoes before buying.
These boots were made for walking!!
I just wore the boots while walking my dogs at the park. So comfortable. Super lightweight and flexible. Really looking forward to wearing them in the snow. We go off the sidewalk at the park and into the grass. I just ordered their tennis shoes in black. Can't wait for them to arrive.
These shoes are extremely lightweight…
These shoes are extremely lightweight and flimsy. THey are comfortable and I like them fine for in-house wear, could never wear wore out, so my large toe is exposed.hem outside.
Also do not hold up. After about four months of use, the toebos of my show

I wear a 7.5 after doing research I decided to purchase a size 7. They arrived and they were too small. Reached out to customer service. They tried getting me to keep the old pair and than receive 30% off a new pair. After explaining for the third time the shoes are too small and it makes no sense to keep them, they offered an exchange. The size 8 arrived, they are too big and I cant make them tight enough. I honestly hate these shoes. They are uncomfortable, they slip off, and the are expensive. I've had better luck with the $20 Irun brand from Amazon. They fit great, quality is good, and I love them. I will never purchase barefoot brand again!

If I could given negative numbers of stars in my review I would! The shoes were too narrow in the toe box so I returned them. I have now given up on trying to get my money back as it simply is not something they do! They resell the same pair of shoes countless times as mine were obviously a return. They run you around in circles endlessly and never refund! B.S. company with crap shoes!! Purchased and returned in May 2025.
Orca Barefoot shoes lasted less than 4 months!
I received my Orca Barefoot shoes 5/26/25; today I notified the company that the shoes are already wearing out; I told them that I wear them 2-3 times per week; Their response was that I was past the 30 day trial period and they could not do anything. So, I would not recommend this company or “their” shoes.
Find someone else and don’t bother with Grounded Footwear!
So they advertise these as a…
So they advertise these as a revolutionary concept in footwear that will make all sorts of foot maladies disappear. They offer a 30-day, complete satisfaction, no questions asked warranty. Guess what? There's nothing special about these, and the identical concept, if not the actual shoe is available numerous places at significant savings. Moreover, the return was painful. First, I made it clear that they did not provide the arch support necessary for comfort, and were not particularly comfortable anyway. They just offered me 15% discount and keep them. "What does any discount matter on a product that is of no use to me?" a couple of days later it was 30%. I replied with the same response and indicated I wanted a return with full refund. Then I received a long email indicating how, where and when I was to return them. Each item was specific with no room for error, including that they were to be returned by USPS ONLY! They would not recognize any return done via any other carrier. Mind you, I had to pay the return shipping cost. They indicated the product is to not have been used and must be returned in all of it's original packaging. I guess you should be able to tell just by looking at the product when delivered that their SHOES were unsatisfactory. So much for no questions asked! They even require you to print the full page return instructions and put them in the package with the return items. I reached out 2-weeks after they had received the return to ask where my refund was. Again, more delays with moronic questions about confirming this was the order and item I returned, which I did. Then they requested the tracking number of the return, you know, the same tracking number that appears on the shipping label AND on the full page of information I was required to place INSIDE the return package. I won't speak to the product simply because they didn't work for me and I knew that in less than a minute wearing them in my home. However, the company and their policies are clearly designed to frustrate you into giving up an taking the discount and keeping them even if you can't/won't use them. Not a good company and certainly not easy to deal with in spite of the sugary emails about how they're here to help and understand completely. Even though I knew within minutes of receiving these that they were not for me, it took more than 45-days for me to receive the refund, and I had to chase it all over or my guess is, I still wouldn't have it. Do better or admit you're a crappy company with questionable ethics and morals so people can decide if they really want to do business with you.
Follow up to my August 21 review
I called the number to determine the status of my return, documented in my 21 August review.
Upon talking to "Star", I asked her about the status of my account, about the shoes that I returned 26 August. She told me That in order to activate the monies back to my account, I had to call in, and provide the tracking number. I told her I was never told this. She told me that it should have been told to me when I called the first time about the return. I told her it was not, and I included my email and phone number when I returned the shoes. She then told me that a credit had been issued to my credit card.
If this is a new company, they need to improve customer service, because it is sorely lacking.

The sole began to separate after about 5 days of mostly indoor wear. I also noticed they were being sold at Walmart for about 85% less (which they denied knowledge of). The customer service rep initially offered me 30% discount to keep them, when I refused they said I could return them on my dime and they would ship me a new pair. Going back and forth they finally agreed to ship me a replacement pair after I showcased their shoddy reviews. Will see if they actually do, either way I would stay away.
These resemble a shoe in shape only
These resemble a shoe in shape only! They look and feel like beach shoes. And if you don't like them don't think you're getting a refund. All the links to return lead to nowhere.
Beware!!!
Beware!!!! I placed my order and received a fake tracking number. Called customer service and they reshipped them. Received the shoes and they are horrible. Cheaply made. Feels like you are walking on concrete, no support at all and my feet hurt worse than before. Called to get my money back and they only offer a 50% discount. If I want a full refund, I have to pay to return them. Never again! Stick with Hoka's!!
