Better than expected….by a lot! The instructors are all top notch and there’s at least one for all styles. If you actually want to get better this is the place to go.

After playing guitar for 50+ years I was no more than an intermediate guitarist/musician, the guys at the academy have helped me create a practice plan based on what I wanted to accomplish as a guitarist! The classes and open rooms have really helped put all the bits and pieces of knowledge that I have attained into some sort of order that I am understanding and growing.

The best thing is the Academy is tailored for what you are trying to accomplish after going through the interview process. The weekly checkins keep you moving forward and holding you accountable.

The instructors that I have had the pleasure talking with and attending their open rooms, and learning a lot from them and my peer students. I have learned a lot from the other student's input and comments.

In hindsight, I wish I had enrolled years ago. This is a very positive learning, jamming, playing music environment.

Guitar zoom Academy is very well organized, they help you with your needs to learn music. Steve Stein has videos and you can look at them and review them and watch them at any time that you want which gives you a lot of new knowledge they keep you organized by doing a log sheet and you also have a music, instructor who zooms with you to help you move along, so you don’t feel stuck, so far I’ve enjoyed it and there’s a lot more features that I don’t have time to mention. I thank them for helping me along. And I want to thank my instructor, Miguel Navarro for being respectful and understanding and I appreciate his instruction.

The Guitar Zoom Academy is a fantastic way to improve your guitar playing! It’s a great way to get motivating critical feedback by professional guitar players that help you design a specific program around what you need and want to improve! There is really nothing else like it that I have seen out there! If you put in the work your chances for improvement are 100%! Money well spent! Bravo!

Everything about this company is great! The instructors are very good and very nice. Steve Stine is very nice and even better than his YouTube tutorials which is where I originally found this lol. The amount of content they have in the Academy is crazy because there is so much, but it's also ALL GREAT material! The overall method is perfect for me as well. I have learned a ton in my 4 months here (I just signed up again) and will definitely keep this going for a while! It's definitely worth it! I haven't seen one negative thing about GuitarZoom :)

I have made more progress in my guitar journey in the last 6 months than I made in the previous 50yrs!! The availability of classes (I liken it to AA) If you're looking for a class, you'll find one. AND the diversity of curriculum and styles of teaching, will appeal in some way to everyone. I attend between 3 and 5 classes per week depending on my schedule - and am always looking to do more.

GZA gave me an assessment of my current skill level, a set of goals and an action plan to achieve those goals. Then, weekly check-ins with my Studio Instructor (Erik). Also, a log for me to register the training videos I watched and practice routine I performed DAILY. Erik and I reviewed this together regularly.

GuitarZoom Academy has been a great experience for me. The focus on musicality, phrasing, and really listening has changed how I approach the guitar. My instructor, Manuel Acevedo, has been incredibly encouraging and clear in his guidance. I feel like I’m building a solid foundation instead of just memorizing shapes. Highly recommend for anyone serious about improving their playing.

I think all intermediate guitarists should try GuitarZoom academy. It’s not just another coarse or lesson. It’s a personalized system tailored to your goals and interests and you’re just very relaxed and enjoying yourself get better and you don’t feel guilty or pressured because you haven’t practiced

I have played for a long time, but reached a plateau when it comes to expressing myself with leads. At just over a month in, I have transformed my playing in learning how to speak in phrases, and having something to say. The teachers are extremely well versed yet patient and encouraging. My individual classes have lead me into new directions, and the regular classes have introduced new ways of thinking. All classes are recorded and can be accessed repeatedly.

I've been struggling with learning to play lead guitar for a long time and in the past my instructors would just teach what I wanted to learn instead of what I needed to know to be the player I want to be. While here at Guitar Zoom Academy I've learned to take my small wins as wins instead of getting frustrated with little progress, the instructors on Guitar Zoom encourages to accept the small wins as small wins and that with each small win you become more confident and slowly meeting your goals. The encouragement I receive here far out weighs the struggles I've had before joining Guitar Zoom Academy. With the struggles and frustrations I put on myself and vocalizing this to Eric Beatty, my studio instructor, my frustration and struggles are put to rest because it's about the journey and how I got to where I want to go with my playing. I couldn't ask for a better team to encourage and to walk with me on my journey to elevate my playing and to meet my goals I have set for myself. I would recommend to any guitar enthusiast or seasoned guitar player if you want to elevate your skills than Guitar Zoom is the place to meet your needs.

I'm just going to explain my feelings about this Guitar Zoom Academy in this way. I totally wasted years in no direction in my advancement of learning, because there was no structure or direction for me to learn. In just a few short weeks I have developed, with all the help from the very talented staff, a program to learn by. I am extremely happy with Guitar Zoom Acaemy and how the program is laid out,All the staff of teachers are very talented musicians and very very good teachers that truely expect to see rapid progress in my and all the other students. And they get it from us. The camaraderie with the students is promoted, and I've met many of them and found them all friendly and helpful. That makes all thde open rooms a great place to work and have open discussions about guitar and music in general. I can only give this Academy praise and accolades

After trying two different learning guitar programs that were self paced pre-recorded videos & PDF's, I found Guitar Zoom. I am so glad I joined this academy. Academy is an accurate description. You go into this academy with a questionnaire that will aide you and the academy on how to reach the goals you have for yourself. In this academy you will find yourself immersed with live help in Open Rooms M-Sat., tons of classroom videos and PDF's. You will get a personal instructor who measures your progress and gives you feedback. Guitar Academy lays all the groundwork for a thorough learning of guitar. They even provide a practice log for you and your instructor to aide you in journey of learning. So, if you are serious about wanting to learn the guitar, you will do it with this academy. It is an investment that pays forward for a lifetime.

Well, first off they seem to care about my guitar learning. There are a number of ways that you can be a part of Guitar Zoom either through open rooms, meeting privately with your instructor watching numerous videos that have been posted or playing to the jam tracks. But they will tell you first and foremost you need to practice and they kind of hold you to the fire to make sure you’re getting your practice in. Everyone is positive. We go at our own pace and it’s just a really well thought out guitar course. Plus I love my instructor Pete who is patient and takes the time with me.

Great platform as well as great instructors. Always helpful and full of insight. Plenty of help available.

I’ve been playing guitar since I was a teenager. However I was stuck. I stoped growing as a guitar player years ago. I watched You Tube videos and bought some courses but it never produced the results I was looking for.
All that changed when I joined the Guitar Zoom Academy. All the instructors are knowledgeable, encouraging and patient. They have my on a practice routine that is creating results. I am more excited about playing guitar than I have been in years.
If you are serious about growing as a player, regardless of your skill level. Guitar Zoom Academy will get you the results you are looking for.

I guess every student has their own personality and style and the trick to getting it right is understanding them and adjusting the mentorship and approach so that they are effective.
In my case, I am very independent and like to self explore. Not hearing from me for two weeks doesn’t mean I’m idle or stuck, it means I’m busy and making progress. When I need help, I raise my hand and ask for it. That said, it doesn’t mean I always get it right and I don’t get into noodling mode. So with me, what works best is checking with me frequently how things are, offering assistance if and when needed and sometimes putting concrete goals to make sure I am on the right path and focused.
This is what Viktor figured out quite quickly. I could tell he got a little concerned when not hearing from me for a week or two, he didn’t know me well as we’re new to this relationship, but he kept it cool and made sure I was engaged, filling my practice log and making progress. He then forced me to commit to some short term goals and explained the rationale behind them, which was exactly what I needed without even knowing I did.
With just the right amount of theory and practicality, I’ve gained a lot through Viktor’s mentorship and I feel that I am making great progress towards where I want to be.
Awesome work Viktor, keep challenging me each time more - the only way to make progress is by exiting your comfort zone and I’m all in for this.

This has been a fantastic experience for me. I would consider myself an intermediate player, who performs in various bands and local venues. However, I wanted to improve to the next level, to become the best for me. I tried other avenues to get direction/advice like videos, YouTube gurus, even live lessons and community college band. Despite this, nothing was personalized to my needs. Then, I tried GuitarZoom Academy and truly found what I was needing and looking for...personalized instruction, a great community to work along with, and great instructors who are knowledgeable and experienced. This makes all the difference to up your game! A personal instructor is assigned right from the beginning (mine is Juan), and they teach and hold you accountable every week. A number of other instructors teach on topics necessary for guitar and indeed music improvement as well. In addition all classes are recorded for future review, and a vast library of video classes are available. If I cannot get much better with this course, then I am convinced there is no other way. If you want to grow in your guitar/music skills, this is the place.

Meet a lot of students like me who been stuck on playing the same old tune but not making any progress. These academy gave me the opportunity to to learn more about learning different techniques and making it work when you really stay focus on it . Thanks to all the instructor that gave motivation. Still in a learning process..

Guitar Zoom Academy has created a really great culture. The camaraderie amongst students and the interactivity among students is so much fun. I enjoy the interaction with students in both structured classes and in open rooms. We help each other, have a lot of laughs, and are seriously learning so much… the instructors are all-in, on our progress, thoughtful, smart, and all great musicians themselves. For me personally, I feel so much more confident and I’m making great strides.
