$7000 new equipment purchase with large missing stolen parts and zero service.

After giving Gympros over three weeks to address a very big problem with an over $7000 new equipment purchase, I am compelled to tell people to find another company to do business with. A brand new Tuffstuff STX550 was ordered and purchased. It was shipped directly from Gympros, not the manufacturer. Upon removal of the wrap film, a manufacturer box had been opened and two 10 lb weight plates and rubber pieces were removed and missing. Tuffstuff nylon strapping had even been cut off. So now cannot assemble and cannot use your new equipment after waiting three weeks to arrive.
I called Gympros first time. First they say” was drop shipped from Tuffstuff”. WRONG, shipping company confirms came from Gympros.
Next they say” take photos and email to our support”. Great. Make we work more?
So I took quite a bit of time to do that, give them specific photos and parts number from owners manual.
Response to first email with many photos to their “ support” email address as they said I should do? Nothing.. No response. No “support”.
Send second email three days later. Still nothing, no response. The person Brie who I dealt with the whole time never calls back, no email responses.
Now I finally go to their “live chat”. Tell Brie about still no parts . Answer, “we are looking into it’. States she will call me back. Guess what. No call back..
So now I have $7000 of equipment and I can’t do anything with it.
Finally, I call TuffStuff the manufacturer directly. Their customer service is fantastic. Takes me 10 minutes to have Manny at their service department locate and arrange the parts.
BUT since Gympros people did nothing to help, I have to pay an additional $166.00 in parts and shipping just to get my $7000 new equipment from Gympros complete. Utter disgrace....
So this is a case of the poorest customer service I have ever seen, that something that I could address in 10 minutes they could have done easily.
. I even live chatted with Brie that I had to pay $166 and her chat response ( which I screenshot) states
“ she was shipping out the parts to me”.
Well, two weeks later, that was never done either.
Gympros is “ sales driven”’, then “bye bye”. . After the sale, you are dead to them. So if you think you might save a few hundred dollars compared to another company, think again. BOY ARE YOU WRONG YOU WILL SAVE MONEY..
You will pay through the nose for your mistake over and over in lost time, more money, and aggravation. Please do yourself a big favor, buy from a place that stands behind what they do. Instead of “you standing behind’ the next victim they can sell equipment to.
I have probably written two negative reviews in my lifetime. I just prefer to try and get a good response. But this place will just hope you go away
. I understand we are all dealing with a pandemic, but why are they so attentive and have time to make the sale, but no time ( or care) for servicing issues?

Take your business elsewhere

I had a similar experience to several others here , and wish I had read the reviews in advance. I ordered a machine which was never delivered. I sent multiple emails inquiring about my machine that were completely ignored. I finally just disputed the charge with my credit card company and reached Gym pros via online chat. where Brie miraculously promised " I have your machine and can deliver tomorrow". She insisted I drop the dispute and promised delivery. I dod so, then called her, and she then told me that due to COVID they are understaffed and cannot delver unless I pay an extra several hundred dollars so they can pay an outside company. While I understand COVID has affected many businesses, I expressed a willingness to wait , etc in all my emails which were completely ignored. Brie had multiple excuses, claiming I emailed the wrong person, she never got the emails, etc, and never gave me a straight answer. had they just said, we will refund you and you can re order when we can safely delver, I would have done so. I reinstated the dispute and would not recommend this company.

Believe the other negative reviews…

Believe the other negative reviews about this unprofessional business. They gave our family the run around for months. I filed a credit card dispute, but since they gave me the run around for so long, promising to replace the damaged and missing pieces for the equipment I ordered, it was too late to file a dispute against them.

I ordered the equipment in December as part of a Black Friday deal. Brie called me back after I expressed interest and offered a “too good to be true” price. I wish I would’ve canceled my order after reading the negative reviews and that after taking my money, I never heard from her again as I had to repeatedly follow up to ask when my equipment would be delivered.

Once I received it, it was damaged and had missing parts. I immediately contacted the merchant and to this day, they have not sent the replacement pieces.

This was so easy to fix yet the merchant won’t do it. Please just stay away from this unprofessional company and buy your equipment from an honest company, and save yourself tons of frustration.

Beware of this seller!!

Beware of this seller!!! They tried to bait and switch me! I told them I wanted new equipment and was quoted a price. I opened up a credit account for financing and when the invoice came in my email it was for a refurbished elliptical, not a new one! When I called the saleswoman on it she said she did nothing wrong! She even sent me the chat dialogue where I said I would want new, not refurbished!! Watch out for these con artists!!!

I just purchased an arc trainer from…

I just purchased an arc trainer from them and I'm in love. They did tell me about it's 1 year coverage so I'm happy with that. They've been pretty transparent. I would add explaining in the beginning that they do not deliver inside your home. They'll take the equipment off the truck and put it in front of your house like an amazon delivery (haha). But I have nothing to complain about because I was blessed to get help from my family. It's about a 400lb equipment and 4 of us spent a couple hours lifting. We were lucky in that the equipment was going on the first floor. But for anyone who might be getting it for an upper level or a lower level, you might need to consider their delivery options.

Other than that, thank you for this amazing steal : )

TERRIBLE extended warranty service

I purchased a spinner with a 3 year extended warranty agreement and have been patiently and kindly reaching out to Brie at Gym Pros for the past five weeks both through email and phone calls to fix an issue I emailed her a video of. Initially, Brie emailed me and said that she was having trouble finding a technician then no response at all over the past month. I’ve reached out weekly. I’m would not recommend purchasing their expensive support since it’s not reliable.

They deserve less than ZERO STARS.....

They deserve less than ZERO STARS... BUYER BEWARE.....They are crooks! Good luck getting a call or returned email once they have your money. Roy's so called reconditioned equipment is a joke. They have no quality check process in place. They claim to not be the typical broker, but instead they claim to be the company that reconditions/ refurbishes equipment before shipping, HA.....That's a joke., that's exactly what they are with higher prices. Weeks after the date promised, I received a broken unusable Precor Elliptical trainer and Roy promised a full credit after it was returned for the hassle. Months later with several unreturned calls and emails to Brie from their so called customer service dept, still no money. I'm not sure how they sleep at night. They just hide, just look at the other REAL reviews. Look at BBB (Better Business Bureau) website, they have so many shady legit complaints, I can't count and mine will be next. Unexpected things happen all the time, but what sets aside a good ethical company is the one who stands behind what they do to make things right. This is NO such company!
Do yourself a big Favor and STAY AWAY unless you like to throw money away! I would attach a video of the condition the equipment arrived in if I could, but yelp won't let me. It will be posted on other sites to view.

Awful experience!

I would not even give it a star if that was an option! I was starting a business and had a small amount of business loan funding I was working with! So when I found gym pros via a fb ad and contacted them I thought it was amazing! So responsive helping me get what I wanted at a price I could afford! It seemed too good to be true because it was!!! They never told me it would be here in multiple shipments which meant I had to organize and plan for people every shipment and rent the equipment to get it off the truck. When trying to get the tracking info and any info from them I would not get replies or would get some bs run around. When all my shipments arrived I was missing 3 items! Also not to mention the treadmills I got aside from them not being the ones she sent me in a pic but didn’t work well one of them changed speeds on its own! So of course I can’t use that one!! The monitors didn’t light up on them and half of them the fans didn’t work. Well when I complained about that he basically told me it was my fault and I shouldn’t be in this business and I bought as is equipment! What I bought was used serviced and cleaned and in their policy it states that if in 30 days you notice a problem they are to address it and make it right but they do not!!! It was not serviced or cleaned and was not working! In order for me to get my money back for the items they didn’t even send me I had to sign something that I accepted their garbage machines they sent me! Roy at one point did offer to have me pay to ship it all back and he would give me a refund however my grand opening was 2 days from then! Not to mention I was already out the $15k I didn’t have anymore to pay to send everything back from Michigan to California. I had my lawyer write a letter in hopes they would at the very least make it right with the treadmills that I could not use and they just don’t respond to him either! In my opinion this company is clearly unethical! My suggestion to you all is do not do business with them! Save yourself the headache and buy it elsewhere even if it means spending a little more! Learn from my mistakes!

I,ve been using the same piece of…

I,ve been using the same piece of equipment at my local gym almost daily. My membership fees just kept sky rocketing to where my $39.99 membership soared to close to $100.00. I had had enough so I began my search for the machine that I loved to use. To my suprise this thing cost close to $12000.00 new. I was talking to a personal trainer that recommended a place in Huntington Beach called Gym Pros so I gave them a call. I was helped by the sales manager who was a wealth of useful information. He was able to give me a great deal on the model That I wanted and they even delivered and set it up for me for free. This thing is awesome. It looks and works like brand new. Oh I forgot I bought a Precor AMT 885. I would recommend this company to anyone.

Gym Pros Rock!!

As a commercial gym, we were looking to find a good solid company that had been around for a substantial period of time in business with experience to accomadate our center with cardio and strength equipment .
We found Gym Pros and the amazing crew to do just that .
After visiting thier warehouse in California and physically seeing thier huge selection of equipment choice , we knew we had found our company. Needless to say we are thrilled with the results .

Equipment looks like new was delivered timely and more importantly the value we saved going refurbished have us our money back in our pockets then going the expensive brand new route.

Thank you to Brie and the crew .
Have an awesome year and keep up the Good standards

PLEASE READ THIS FIRST if you are…

PLEASE READ THIS FIRST if you are considering purchasing from this company in 2019 or later, especially if you live outside of California where there seem to be more issues. I had to sign up to create an account to post this experience so nobody else has to go through what I have been through, and please feel free to message me if you would like. I have a full listing of all phone calls, emails, and texts highlighting how poorly I have been treated as a customer through this experience.

On January 2, after a handful of calls and emails with Roy Crocker, including very specific assurances of the White Glove Delivery process that I agreed to pay an extra fee for, I proceeded with purchasing a Cybex Arc Trainer 770. Roy has a nice British accent and even sent me a video of the machine I was ordering. It seemed like a company I could trust despite being leery of purchasing such a machine online. Roy told me the machine would be at my house in a week, and it might take one or two additional days for the White Glove delivery into my basement.

By January 11 I had heard nothing from Gym Pros or anyone else regarding when my trainer would be delivered, but I knew the trainer was in the area as there was a tracking number with the freight company Gym Pros selected. I contacted Brie the afternoon of January 11 and asked when it would be delivered, and she initially did not know about the White Glove request I had made and quickly tried to get me off the phone as she was "working on it." So we then move into the week of January 14 and once again I am making a pro-active call to understand what in the heck is going on with my delivery. After numerous calls Jan 14, 15, and 16, I finally received a call from the freight company CHOSEN by Gym Pros that they would deliver the trainer to my garage on January 18. I made arrangements to miss work for half a day on January 18, and got a call from the freight driver. When I informed him of delivering the product in my garage he was surprised as it was not on his order request. I then called the supervisor of the freight company who said Brie did not inform them of that, so it was a mad frenzy. Well when the driver got there, he was alone, and there was nobody to help him remove the 500-lb equipment from his truck, NOR did the company bring a lift gate with them which the freight supervisor said was wrong of them. The freight company then promised to come back the afternoon of January 21 as I had already reached agreement with White Glove installers (that Brie had found) the morning of Jan 22 to take the equipment from my garage to my basement. I took off the afternoon of January 21 only to get a call that same day from the freight company that they could NOT deliver the product to me as the Lift Gate for the truck my equipment was on was broken. They then said they would try to get it to me the morning of January 22 of which I took ANOTHER day off work. Well the morning of Jan 22 I waited, and waited, and when the freight company was 90 minutes late, I called, and they then informed me they were not making deliveries due to some snow in the area, YET they did not bother to call me early in the morning about this. I called Brie and explaiend it was the 3rd consecutive day I had taken off work to receive a delivery from the 1-star rated freight company she chose, and she later informed me that Gym Pros FIRED this freight company. I asked for a refund at this time, but Doug called me on the phone and asked me to give Gym Pros another chance to make it right. I explained to Doug I could not continue missing work and wanted one delivery from the truck to my basement, and he said Gym Pros would make it happen.

January 23 goes by, then January 24 and 25 and still no firm plan from Brie to get this delivered. The afternoon of January 25 I called again and she assured me that the white glove company could drive to the freight terminal to pick up my equipment and bring it to my house for installation, and it would DEFINITELY happen the week of January 28. So the week of January 28 comes, and I wait, and wait, and wait, and I even called the White Glove company and the gentlemen there indicated Brie was not being up front and he was worried she would not come through with paying him. He told me the price for his crew to go pick up the equipment and deliver it as Brie and Doug had promised, and I then called Brie to confirm she was aware of this, and she told me that Gym Pros could not AFFORD to do this and right my horrible customer experience to date and she would have to look for other options. So another week had gone by without getting my equipment despite another promise it would come.

Friday, February 1, nine days after Doug asked me to give Gym Pros another chance, they had failed to do as they said, and I contacted Brie and asked for a full refund. I was given the runaround that I needed to talk with Diane in accounting, so I asked for her contact information and was simply given a VRU option number to leave a voicemail. Brie also asked me to put in writing my request for a full refund so I did as she asked, and I waited and waited Friday afternoon to hear more. Finally I called my Bank to dispute the transaction and informed Brie of this, and within minutes I recieved a text from Brie that Roy had agreed to my refund request and I also got a call from Doug at 7:02 PM CST informing me of the same thing. So the morning of February 4 I texted Brie asking about the status of my refund and I was told accounting was working on processing it. Later that day I get a seaprate email from her indicating they STILL want to try to deliver the equipment to me, AND she wanted to use the FIRED freight company of which she told me over the phone she really did not fire this company (a lie). I explained to her that I have had too many sleepless nights and stress over this process and wanted to proceed with the full refund she promised in writing.

On February 5 I once again asked for the status of the refund and informed Gym Pros that I had just purchased a machine locally given I was promised the full refund on February 1, and that is when Brie got super nasty and claimed she could not honor the full refund she had sent me in writing on February 1, and that store policy said I would have to pay all sorts of return and restocking fees. I asked once again to talk with Roy or Diane (I have made 5 prior requests over the phone and in writing to talk with Roy), and that has not happened to date. I now have a call into the BBB and my attorney as this company has made a BAD situation a thousand times worse. I will continue to update my experience on here as it happens, but if you are considering buying from this company, I highly caution you from proceeding. As I mentioned at the beginnging, I have all my records (texts, emails, phone logs) of what I was told and when and would be happy to share them with you.

In House WorkOut

I heard about Gym Pros through my best friend. My friend and I wanted to start in home work outs together because we both don’t have much free time to go to the gym. That’d mostly because of our work schedule and other commitments. So I started with ordering a treadmill, since I really need to focus more on my cardio, vs weight lifting. The ordering process was generally pretty straightforward and the timeline for delivery was the standard 3-4 weeks. Within 20 days my treadmill arrived. I have started working out and it runs beautifully. Exactly what I needed to get my life going in the right direction!

Love The Gym Equipment

Gym Pros offered great deals on their gym equipment. I ended up buying a treadmill and some weights because I cancelled my gym membership. I was interested in creating an at home gym, so the equipment I purchased was a great first step to my end goal. The gym equipment arrived within 3 weeks and was in good condition. I appreciate that so much!

Time to work out!

Couldn’t be happier with the gym equipment I ordered. Now my sister and I can be work out buddies! It’s nice having her as a workout buddy because we can hold each other accountable and make sure we reach our goals together. The treadmill I ordered from Gym Pros has been working up a serious sweat! Among other weight lifting equipment I ordered! True workout awaits.

Nice Equipment

The equipment is in mint condition. It might have taken longer than I would of liked to arrive, but this was already disclosed to me before my order was placed. I will be ordering more weights next week, hopefully. Looking forward to building my in home gym slowly, over time. Hopefully, Gym Pros keeps distributing quality equipment.
