Would definitely use again, very helpful!

Herewith a copy of my final letter to the CEO of Harry Garlic.
I write to you in response to recent correspondence. I have to say i find your attitude to be both evasive as well as condescending

i will therefor list the chain of events so far

1 sometime in the previous year we purchased from Skipton shop a new television at the time we also showed interest in an American style fridge freezer, we explained that our Whirlpool was at the end of its life and would need removing and that it was a tight fit, the salesperson said that when our television was delivered the men would measure up to see if the job was possible, this was done and agreed that though tight it was indeed certainly possible.

2 Early this year our Whirlpool died and we chose a new fridge freezer from your Skipton shop we again confirmed that your employees had measured for the job we were given a delivery date.

interestingly during the period after the purchase of the television we also purchased and took delivery of a dishwasher and again confirmed that the removal and installation of a new fridge freezer would be possible

3 on the day of delivery the van arrived with two personnel, the more senior of the two had a somewhat negative attitude, i felt, and before even getting to the installation site expressed concern that it was a long way to have to take it

4 after viewing the old Whirlpool installation they soon decided they could not/ would not do it and called for the manager to help he eventually arrived from the Skipton store, after further assessing the situation he proceeded to remove the doors from the FF disconnect the water supply (which the 2 men had not even attempted) then two shelves from the pantry wall, after some time manovering and discussion the manager announced it could not be done and that "we" would have to get someone with a saw to cut it in half to remove it they then all walked off site, leaving my wife and myself with a partly dismantled FF and the contents of our larder on the dining room table.

5 In desperation my wife rang our son who came round he took one look and on his own virtually (as i am disabled post hip op.) moved an undercounter freezer to outside tipped the FF carcass on its back and safely removed it onto the rear patio with absolutely no damage to either the carcass or the décor of the pantry

6 So one 50yr old in 10/15 minutes removed safely what your three presumably fully trained members of staff were unwilling or unable to to do in over one hour

7 we were then told that they would not supply the American fridge freezer we had ordered and paid for and that we should choose an alternative.

We paid for delivery installation of new FF and removal and disposal of old FF And on complaining about customer service have had no apology rather a poor attempt at defending and attempting to justify your staffs inefficiency. quite frankly i feel your customer service is abysmal and should be renamed staff protection service

The final outcome is we have a fridge freezer not of our choosing that does not fit the space allotted etc.

Absolutely brilliant service from James at Barnwoldswick, supplied a first class Panasonic Blu-ray player at a great price. Sorted everything after I telephoned the shop and got it delivered to me exactly when he said. Superb James thanks ever so much

Cannot recommend Harry Garlicks enough woke up to a broken fridge freezer, messaged at 8am by 10am they’d found me one at a fab price was deliver by 4pm same day. So helpful, best customer service I’ve ever had… Massive shout out to Ian who I dealt with!!

Excellent, professional,speedy customer service. Bought a range cooker which was £200 cheaper than argos . Would highly recommend this retailer .... we will definitely look at their website as first port of call in future

We have bought many items from Garlick for many years now, why? They are very competitive, they offer a very extensive range of products etcetera. They are interested during but unlike online sellers or the likes of Currys, more importantly, AFTER the sale. An example, a short time ago our cooker died on us. the manager of the Clitheroe store, Andy, came out on a 'Sunday' to deliver and install a replacement in order in keep us eating. Would any the aforementioned do this ~ NO! Just one instance out of many ~ thank-you

Very good service and knowledge of the product I was to buy.
Gave me time to make up my mind didn't feel pressured into making a decision there and then and left me alone to think about it which was great and very helpful in my purchase.

Straight forward purchase of a washing machine over the telephone. Delivery and installation within a week and the old appliance removed. Excellent customer service, would highly recommend.

i`ve had quite a lot of things over the years from harry garlick, and everytime is the same, impeccable service, they help you choose the right item your looking for without being too pushy, they are well mannered, polite and will put themselves out to help you. any problems they sort them out for you no problem. this is why i always go to harry garlick.

Fantastic customer service .Was advised on the product that suited my needs exactly and not just about spending money .The installation was 1st class and i am more than happy with my products .Special mention to Andrew who did an excellant job for me and made sure i was happy with everything before he left .I will be a returning customer for many years to come .Thanks again for your efforts much appreciated

Poor customer service
Inadequate website.
Don’t expect a refund for out of stock items too quickly!!!
No correspondence whatsoever received after 8 days..... not even to let me know the item I had ordered and paid for was not in stock nor any confirmation of any kind.
Won’t be using them again

2 days before Christmas & my parents living room gas fire has packed up - despite Gas Engineers visit yesterday after waiting a week for him to fit in a 90 & 85 years old couple
Harry Garlick's saved the day AS ALWAYS - New Glen Dimplex electric fire fitted & working by 3pm

We bought a TV from Harry Garlick which the utterly fantastic Adrian delivered and he also installed it for us. We just wanted to say that from start to finish the customer service and experience of buying from this business was completely brilliant. Andy, Calvin and particularly Adrian - thank you so much!!!

Used Harry Garlick for most electronic purchases and have always found them to be knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. They also set up the television on delivery and paired it with the Virgin box which was included in the overall price.

Very good advice to find the right product for us. Pleasant staff, no pushing to sell us something. Delivered to the car , no problems. Will definitely buy from them again and will highly recommend them to friends and family.

This can happen and it is how they are resolved that counts

This company and wonderful staff couldn't help me out enough. At this very difficult time when I really need a freezer as mine has just broken they come up trump's and let me collect one from outside the warehouse. They couldn't help me enough and was so understanding. No one else could help me but Harry Garlick staff you are awesome. Thank you. I will definitely be using you again.
