I’ve been looking for a dependable way to store food long-term, and Harvest Right delivered exactly what I needed. The freeze dryer works efficiently and has allowed me to build a solid emergency food supply without relying on store-bought options. The quality of the preserved food is excellent, and I love having full control over ingredients. For anyone in the U.S. interested in food preservation or emergency prep, this is a fantastic solution.

I've been freeze drying in a Harvest Right freeze dryer for 7 years now. I purchased an additional machine to assist in keeping up with a large garden and orchard.

I have loved all the amazing years. It's been great! The company itself is great to work with. If there are any problems they follow they until it's able to be resolved. Very courteous, thorough, and professional.

The Harvest Right Freeze Dryer is pretty cool because it lets you preserve food for a long time. You can freeze-dry fruits, candy, and even full meals. It’s easy to use once you figure it out, but it’s expensive and takes a while to finish a batch. Overall, it’s a fun and useful machine if you use it a lot.

Regarding customer service, the follow up was exceptional, they wanted to solve the issue as quickly as I did. Very easy process to go through, friendly and informative. Still a newbie in the freeze drying world but loving it so far

I love my freeze dryer! It arrived promptly. It was easy to set up. It’s very easy to use. I just wish I would’ve gotten it sooner. I have freeze dried fruits, vegetables, eggs, and leftover meals. Everything comes out great!

It’s rare to find a company that matches high-quality engineering with a support team that genuinely cares about the customer’s success. This investment was 100% worth it, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Harvest Right to anyone.

5 yrs ago i got my freeze drier , its worked great , no problems , it was a small one with only 4 trays though , so last year i had a friend wanting to sell the one he had , no idea how old it was , but had 5 trays and a medium sized drier , well.... my God it worked great , could dry more at a time , but then after 6 months over this winters use which i have it going 24/7 year round , it died , i contacted harvest right in Idaho and they forwarded me to a fella name of john in tech dept, to trouble shoot , this guy was terrific , supportive as well , although my unit was out of warranty at this point and i found out that it needed a new compressor , he supplied me with all the information needed to purchase a new compressor and instructions for someone in the area to follow to replace and refill with refrigerant . i have gone back to using my little guy i got 5 yrs ago , still working strong , trying to stock up on as much food as possible for the coming famine . In review , the Harvest Right crew are the best , i would very strongly suggest , no actually i would highly recommend you get one of their units , strong reliable and have an excellent tech team for support

It took a while for tech support to help with getting the vacuum seal figured out but after that it has been working so well. The kids and dogs love it

My Harvest Right freeze dryer has been a game changer for my family's food storage. We have less waste on left overs because there is a better way to save them. There are an endless possibilities of food ideas you can freeze dry while makes this machine AMAZING. Customer service was great, they were quick and easy to get in touch with and talk too. Love my 5-tray freeze dryer! Perfect size if your want to really store up some long lasting food. They work great and reliable. Any minor issues or quirks that arise and you can call their customer service. They’ve resolved every question or issue I’ve had. I’ve done hundreds of batches in my machines. Buy with confidence!

Freeze drying isn’t for everyone. You need a good space, a little technical knowledge and patience. The harvest right freeze dryer takes a lot of the guess work out of that equation. Easy to use and it works. We’re so happy we get to store shelf stable safe food for our family.

I would give customer service 10 stars if I could. I was nervous about spending that much. They went above and beyond. Even now I'm just learning and I hit the help button on my phone app, and the AI is dead on with how to fix it.

The Harvest right has been amazing. We love freeze drying fruit, veggies, and candy. Harvest Right was also amazing when we had a little hiccup with the machine and they walked me through everything and had it back up and running in no time! Great Costumer Service

Well-designed machine with a detailed manual and good capabilities! Easy to use, high quality materials and accessories, and a manual with tons of info in it. Customer service has also been very responsive.

Keep in mind that (1) this is the smallest chamber they make, not great for large quantities of food and (2) this is the "home" version, with a lot of settings locked away so people new to freeze drying have an easier time and can't mess things up. You can get the Pharmaceutical model's firmware from the company and install it, and that opens up more (but not all) options. In general, if you're curious as to why the machine isn't doing what you would expect (e.g. going to the next step because the temperature has reached its set point), check out the manual for the Scientific model to see the hidden settings. You won't be able to change them, but at least you'll know what they are. Unfortunately it seems you can't install the Scientific firmware on this model, just the Pharmaceutical.

Also, though the manual doesn't tell you: you can click the leaf icon at various stages to either get system settings or the option to manually advance the recipe to the next stage.

We are super happy with the results! We love the freeze dried bananas! Can't wait to try more things (:

I bought the Harvest Right Small Freeze Dryer a few weeks ago. Their customer service team was very helpful getting things set up properly. We made some simple recipes first (candy, yogurt) and are going to be trying some more adventurous things next. So far so good!
