The lows:- The showroom was so cold I had to keep my thick winter coat on, even then I was still cold. I was sat next to a large sliding door which seemed to be open more than it was closed. Not a great start!
I asked if the car had LED headlights and was told that it did, when in fact it doesn’t, I also asked if the car had blind spot indicators and was again told that it did - after purchasing I found out it didn’t have these at all. The test drive was very short, with no open road to really try the car out, and the sales person (John) spoke non stop so it was impossible to check out what features the car did or didn’t have, or if there were any noises from the car.
Once I had decided to go ahead and buy the car, I was subjected to a prolonged sales pitch for other products/services that the company provided. This was a total waste of my time as I had already explained that I was taking the car to Spain permanently and none of these things would be valid outside of the UK. I was told he still needed to cover them as it was company policy, so I asked him to speed through it as it really wasn’t relevant to me, he proceeded to read chapter and verse and added insult to injury by asking me if I knew the difference between the products offered. He nearly lost the sale at this point as I had already been there a couple of hours. I was buying the car for cash so didn’t require any finance options, the process was unnecessary and a total waste of my time. I said was there something I could sign to say he had offered me these products but I had declined as they were irrelevant to me, eventually his manager stepped in and after I explained the situation to him I was finally able to leave.
The highs :- The car was valeted and delivered to my home address 4 days later. After a bit of haggling I was given a fair exchange price for my own car. When I said the car seemed noisy inside they checked it out thoroughly and it was deemed to be the new cross climate tyres and road noise. Overall very happy with the car but the company need to change their one size fits all sales pitch!

Friendly, with clear information. Reliable, even if not the cheapest - we have bought here before. Our salesperson, Gary Birch, was very clear about costs and knowledgeable.

Quick and straightforward process

I have bought from Hawco a few times now and the service you get you just can't fault. I bought my new van from Allan and he was such a nice guy to deal with as are the rest of the people working there as they always say hello with a smile on their face .

I just bought my first campervan from Hawco in Inverness. John Bailey was really helpful, and as he is an experienced campervanner, was able to answer all my questions. I feel ready to hit the road!

Generally all good. Slight issue with cherished number transfer but no real problem.
