SO I’VE BEEN IN TOUCH WITH YODEL AND ASKED THEM TO CANCEL DELIVERY AND CONTACTED HAZEL AND MAY AND CANCELLED THE ORDER AND ASKED FOR A REFUND. I WONDER IF I WILL EVEER GET THAT? I AM SO FED UP WITH ALL THE PROMISES H&M HAVE BEEN GIVING ME ABOUT DELIVERY.
SCAM AVOID
Agree with all other reviews , which I wish I had read before ordering. SCAM
Don't even consider buying from this company
Extremely disappointing. Thought I was buying from a Brighton based company when, in fact, order came direct from China. Purchased two sweatshirts - exceptionally poor quality - a striped one with the neck placket not parallel to the stripes - unwearable! Both sweatshirts made from very thin fabric so sweatshirt a bit of a misnomer .. Very poor sewing etc. Didn't even bother to try on. Returns policy not clear and waiting to get response from company. I expect most of what I paid (nearly £60) will be swallowed up by return cost to China. Wish there was a no star category- very misleading advert.
Dreadful - avoid!
Delivery is ridiculously slow - over 2 weeks
The return policy is misleading.
I bought a pair of shoes they would not agree to take back without excessive postal charge as it said it would be to an overseas destination.
The shop is supposedly in Brighton!?!
I was persuaded to choose an alternative item 'free' and allowed to keep the shoes that do not fit! This was said to be at a 'small' delivery charge, which turned it to be £7.95 (not small!) and a speedy delivery was promised.
Again I waited over 2 weeks and the tracking info is very limited.
The garment arrived - I probably wouldn't have bought it in store. So I have a useless pair of shoes and a cardigan that cost othe price of the shoes + postage - over £47+ pounds 😭but hey-ho.
I've now noticed there are no washing instructions and am asking about this.
Bennett & Rowe/HazelandMay & Londora London UK etc!
Probably run by the same people that advertise as Bennett & Rowe and Londora as all 3 give the impression they are uk companies but once you order an item it bears no resemblance to what you receive either in looks or quality. What you will receive is a very nasty, cheap version which will be made badly in China. Returns are, as they say, at your own expense, so will cost upwards of £20! It’s a scam and they must be raking in thousands of your hard earned money! BEWARE of these companies and don’t be taken in by their pretty pictures as that’s not what you’ll receive! Total scammers!!!
One star is too many...
One star is too many.... Awful and far too small.... Waiting to see what they say about returns but I fear it's 90 quid down the drain
This is a fake shop
This is a fake shop. There is no shop in Brighton and they are not UK based. The shoes took ages to arrive and I wish I had told them to cancel it with the delay. They arrive and had been packed just in plastic wrap so were completely crushed. They are not labelled with materials or sizes and are cheap plastic rubbish. The company don’t want to accept a return claiming it’s easier for me not to pay international postage, and offering a 10% refund. I replied to say they’re faulty and they’ve now offered 20%, so I have suggested I might contact trading standards. Don’t get duped.
If only I had checked these reviews…
If only I had checked these reviews before ordering! The sweater was not a sweater, nothing like the picture and extremely poor quality. This company has nothing to do with Brighton, just a scam for rubbish sent from China. I will not be holding my breath for a refund!!
Absolutely gutted. Not as advertised.
Absolutely gutted with my experience.
I believe I have been cheated.
I would give them zero if I could.
I ordered 3 pairs of shoes costing almost £100 altogether.
They looked absolutely beautiful on the picture, really elegant and smart.
But what arrived were the absolute opposite and I would never have ordered them.
They’re badly made alternatives to what they advertise on the Hazel and May site. They even had different names on the bags.
Basically, the shoes that arrived are absolutely nothing like the pictures.
They are poorly packed - 3 pairs in unlabelled brittle plastic bags, stuffed into one package- no box, no logos, no care anywhere to be seen.
They are over large, smell like petrol and are a completely different colour and texture to the images.
They feel and look very cheap.
The soles are like thin foam and plastic - as opposed to the orthopaedic soles they were meant to be.
The velcro fastenings are badly cut, and the ‘embossed buttons’ from the site’s picture are plain and are pushed through the velcro of the fastenings. They’re basically split pins.
When I emailed to ask for a refund, they replied saying I could have another pair of shoes if I paid postage.
They blamed the bad packaging on the carriers, and basically said they definitely were ‘quality’ and that there could be differences between the pictures and the actual item and this was to be expected.
I am not sending them ANY more money. They already had all the 50th birthday money I had saved to treat myself.
As a single parent on a low wage and with a disability I am so sad, but I just can’t risk it, and I know I’d just be sent more of the same thing.
They may have Brighton in the brand name, but have never been anywhere near Brighton - they actually come from somewhere in China and are Temu quality - if that.
Stay away.
If anyone needs pictures I can provide them.
And I will be looking into taking this further. I don’t want anyone else to be taken in by them.
Ditto what everyone else has said
Ditto what everyone else has said. Total scam.
I can't understand how this company is…
I can't understand how this company is allowed to continue. How I wish I'd read the reviews before wasting money on a cheap, Chinese scam. They advertise their shop in the UK, two "frends" who started a local business. PLEASE BE AWARE!!!! They LIE!!!
Cheap Rubbish!
Cheap Rubbish....I ordered from this company when I saw an add on Facebook for a pair of what was suppose to be leather olive green shoes, what I received after waiting almost six weeks was a pair of cheap, nasty not made of leather shoes from China! Honestly the shoes would be something one would find on a market stall for £5 at the most, not only were they cheap and nasty the oder of them was horrid. Please be warned if something looks and sounds too good to be true it most likely is.
Report to Action Fraud
I've reported this company to Action Fraud. Please do it too! The more of us that do this the more likely that action will be taken. They are misrepresenting themselves as a company and mis selling their products at the very least.
Hi like a fool,I bought a pair of these…
Hi like a fool,I bought a pair of these loafers! Dis anyone get theee money back at all please
Total scam
Total scam. This is a cheap Chinese warehouse, not a Brighton-based shop. What were advertised as top quality orthopaedic shoes barely meet 'middle of Lidl' quality. Their returns policy means nothing. At best, you'd spend £20+ import duties returning items (which will probably go unclaimed at customs and they'll deny receipt). Knowing you won't take the risk, they'll offer you 10% refund (in my case £4). Avoid like the plague.
Rubbish company.
I wish I had seen these reviews before I ordered the shoes, which I must add have still not arrived !!! I have tried several times to contact this company but you don't get anywhere .I have asked for a refund but again no response.do not order anything from this so called hazelandmay of Brighton, more like some far east scam company.
Do not buy from here
Do not buy from here, shoes are not what are advertised and an absolute waste of money. Took ages to arrive after ordering
Scam avoid
Scam, not based in Brighton and do not deliver to time as advertised!
Fake offer - Nasty shoes from China
One star too good for this purchase. Took up a Hazel and May Brighton shoe offer for a green pair of mary jane shoes reduced from £100 to £39.95. I have received a pair of shoes clearly from China. Nasty, cheap plastic used through and through. Colour, materials used bear little resemblance to photo on website. Sizing off too. Clown shoes come to mind. The shoes stink of chemicals. Feel conned. Not worth £40 let alone £4. Avoid like the plague!!!
DO NOT USE!!!!
As per everyone else on, I've been duped. 19 days before delivery and then different colour and a dent in one of the toes. Could probably have got better on Temu. The only good thing about the shoes I ordered is that they fit but THAT'S ALL!
Do the women in their ad even know they're being used???
Dreadful scammers - DO NOT USE!!!
