Brilliant experience, great surgery and care. Everyone involved from the start to the finish were truly professional and I couldn't have asked for anymore care.

From the pickup at the airport and every day from the hotel. Was always very punctual the drivers are excellent. Also all the medical staff are so professional which gave me so much confidence.

Had hip replacement in July with HCA in denia,the experience was second to none, the team in Denia Joe James Kevin and Tony were brilliant I felt like a vip the way they treated me,the hotel was lovely and all the staff at the hospital were great especially jenna and mar in the physiotherapy clinic,the staff all spoke great English so no language barrier problems at all.. I would strongly recommend HCA if you need any procedures done asap, great service great company 👍

I contacted Healthcare Abroad for information about a hip replacement on the 25th of June they answered all the questions and any concerns I had they really have such a well organised team I went ahead and had my operation on the 14th of July in Valencia the care I got was fantastic from the doctors the nurses the drivers the physio and the Healthcare Abroad team I'm 6 weeks over my operation and I have no crutches I do my physio everyday I'm pain free and I'm really happy that I went and had it done if I had to go again in the future I would definitely go.. absolutely no hesitation thanks to Sandra Amy John Sergio and of course my surgeon

Everything went so smooth from the first phone call. The care I received before my Hip replacement operation, and after was excellent. From the top class surgeon and his team the nurses and medical Doctor at Vithas hospital I was in capable hands . I also have to give praise to the drivers , John and Freddie went above the call of duty . All the staff at health.care abroad were most helpful with the different paper work .our go to girl in Spain Amie was most helpful and was always on the ball . It made my daunting visit and recovery a pleasure. I had a wonderful week of intense physio with Sergeo our instructor you couldn't meet a nicer guy . My self and jo had the wonderful privilege of meeting .Jon and the head of the company Chris at the hotel we had a lovely conversation I highly recommende Health care Abroad. Noel Farrell

Had TVT surgery this week, reluctantly having to go abroad as ireland is the only country that doesn't do this surgery. Healthcare abroad looked after us so well, Hospital is literally 2 mins from the hotel and we were chauffeured to and from every appointment, Hospital was 1st class and we were treated like royalty, no question was too much. Apparently they do other surgeries too, so if you have been putting off a surgery, do it now, you'll be well looked after. My surgery will be refunded by the HSE.

To be honest if there was an option for 4.5 I would have chosen that. HCA and staff from drivers to the attention they gave not only to me but my daughter too was second to none, and for that I thank you all. My only issue was that everything changed the afternoon before I flew as there was some issue with my surgery ( they picked the best option for me) and my original price for hotel changed considerably as I am on a tight budget it made it very difficult for me. We were then transferred to denia and I realised that the aftercare ( straight after operation) was a little different. I left in a wheelchair and was given crutches and a frame. No physio, when I arrived at my first appointment for physio I was already days behind anyone who had their surgery in Denia. My operation was a success and thanks to the physio team I am quite mobile now. There was a few other little bits but overall my experience was amazing

The company and it's staff were really first rate, helping me through a difficult time all along the way, and making sure that I was prepared for my operation. Of special mention was Javier, the organizer in Spain, who was always available when needed, and guided me through the entire process with great skill and competence, ensuring that my visit went off without a hitch.

I was doing my own research on how to get help for my endometriosis, having 2 previous surgery's in Ireland privately and didn't make absolutely no difference. I was just about to give up hope after being told to basically just life with the pain that nothing more could be done for me . Every door was closed until I came across Healthcare Abroad online. I filled in a form online and the next day a man called Chris rang me , he was very knowledgeable about endometriosis and talked to me for a bit and said there was an amazing surgeon in Madrid called Dr Lucas Minig he said it was like a different planet over there for endo and looking back on it now he was very right in saying that. I agreed to go ahead with it and booked my flights and accommodation, they provided me with difference options of accommodation that they work with. They broke down the cost of surgey and advised me to get a loan in the credit union and the HSE will then reimburse this. They then had an 2 MRIs organised for me in dublin before I went . Everyone I dealt with over the last few months were beyond helpful they answered any questions I had and I alot as its a big thing going abroad for surgery but nothing was ever a bother . I spoke with Siobhan, Grainne and Deirdre and they were so nice and friendly. They organised everything, the day before I went to Madrid they sent me a timetable for the next day which was an MRI, bloods , ECG consultation and then a consultation with Dr Lucas Minig . When I arrived in Madrid I was met by my driver Javier this man is a gentleman and an absolute gem, he made my stay here the best he helped me so much he's not just a driver he does all the paperwork, takes us to the appointments ,walks us to the room we need to go to waits and takes us back, then the same in the airport . On the last day my suitcase broke in 2 and he came with tape the next morning and taped it all up , just the best human 💙 so much respect for him he's so good at his job, he's a saint . Also we met Amy she is a lovely caring girl who done everything she could for us . Dr Lucas Minig is without a doubt the most kindest, empathetic, caring and skilled surgeon. From the first time I met him via video consultation I knew I was in good hands ,he was the first doctor to actually listen to me and felt empathy towards me and promised he was going to help me , one thing which stuck with me was he said, I dont just go by MRI's I go with what symptoms my patients tell me they have. Having 3 kids at home life with endometriosis is very difficult and was affecting every part of my life physically and mentally. We agreed on our first consultation that a hysterectomy would be my best option and he promised me my quality of life would significantly improve. I then had another consultation with him when I arrived in Madrid and he put me at ease with his easy going and funny sense of humour, he also reasured my mum who was stressed about it all that I was in good hands and that he was going to change my life which made us both get very emotional. On the day of surgery he met me before and again reassured me all was going to be ok. After surgery he came to my room and told me exactly what he had done and all had been very successful, he even rang me that night at 11pm to make sure I was comfortable. Then in the morning he was in at 8am and checked me over and discharged me .He gave me his personal number and told me to text or call at any time . I had to a few times with questions and he got straight back to me . I am now 8 days post surgery and I can already say I honestly feel like a new person, I'm still recovering and a bit and slow on my feet but that aching , dull barbed wire feeling is completely gone it's like he took all the badness out. He truely is a very special man. Also when I was there on the first day 5 other girls where having the same thing done and we got chatting and formed a friendship during the week which was so nice as not alot of other people understand how hard endometriosis can be on you so it was nice to have them there for support. So I urge any woman in Ireland who are experiencing pain, getting no answers, no help , feeling unheard please please please but your trust in health care abroad as you won't be dissapointed, I did and it's the best decision I've ever made 🙏🩶

I was able to get my operation in a very short period of time, good communication at the start, I was given an operation date but until I was ready to fly to Alicante only then was I given other information, costs appointments etc.which I felt should have been emailed earlier, The Healthcare Abroad staff in Alicante were very professional, especially when it came to language translation. As expected we meet with the surgeons before the op and everything was clearly explained, I felt everything went well & 2 sessions of physio were provided. The hospital was very clean & the nurses did a great job, I had 2 items that bothered me but I couldn’t change, when recovering & getting meals, there seemed to be no communication about what operations we had just had & not just myself but others only had the use of one hand which meant cutting up food or opening containers wasn’t possible but when our meals were delivered I explained this but to no a avail, also our accommodation was pre booked & our room only had a shower inside the bath which was nearly impossible to stand in & get assistance for a shower, I did ask the hotel reception but nothing else more suitable was available, hopefully this might be something taken into consideration in the future. Thanks to Healthcare Abroad for making this happen & Dr Ro Kulkarni for the opportunity to hopefully get back to normal 😀

Healthcare Abroad are absolutely amazing and I couldn’t be more grateful for their help. I travelled for endometriosis surgery and from the first day I spoke to them they were beyond helpful, there was no such thing as too many questions. You get your itinerary with your pre op appointments before travelling, met at the airport and brought to your accommodation as well as to and from your appointments and surgery. Recommended by my GP I called an 01 number and off we went . When one has a crocked hip, logical thinking goes out the window. Healthcare abroad do the thinking for you. For instance, medical requirements, liasing with GP and consultant around scans. Finance as the procedure is paid for up front. They have superb working relationships with health insurance companies and the credit unions. I opened my first account with with the credit union and a week later was approved a loan for the procedure thanks to the system that's in place to mandate the hse cheque directly to the credit union. So what I got in effect was a bridging loan while the hse are processing the paperwork. This is an EU initiative and thank God for being European. I booked the flight and paid for the hotel in valencia. Picked up in valencia at the airport, straight to the hospital for x rays and bloods, then off to hotel. Operation was done the following morning . 3 nights in hospital really just for monitoring and getting started on the physio. The physio is the lynch pin of the whole thing. Hotel for 5 nights, 2 sessions of physio each morning for 5 days . Ferried over and back to the hospital in the team bus. I cannot stress enough the importance of professionally guided physio from the get go. This is my second hip the first done in irelandso I know what I'm talking about. In ireland they boast they'll have you home in two days. This is a swindle.you need physio, guided physio and not a sheet of paper and off you go. The difference between my Irish hip and my Spanish one recovery wise is nothing short of staggering.
Healthcare abroad is a class outfit and I'm grateful to them and my GP for recommending them.

I was looking at 2.5 years on a waiting list for my back in Ireland, much of that which would have had to have been spent lying flat. I came across Healthcare Abroad by accident, I met a previous patient at a market. 5 weeks later here I am, 6 days post operation, and looking forward to doing something different. It was an easy smooth process from the start, can't recommend it enough.

Fantastic. I was so well looked after from the initial communication and organisation to the hospital visits, procedure and aftercare.
Rosa was so professional, caring and friendly. Really wanted me to feel safe and supported. The surgeons nd nurses were very thorough, efficient and made me feel like I was in good hands.
Hospital was within travel distance from where I was staying which meant I enjoyed my downtime in between surgeries.

From start to finish everything was done on time to a very high standard, I am very happy.

I would highly recommend, healthcare abroad, from start to finish, they are fantastic. I went to Madrid to get prolapsed bowel and prolapsed bladder fixed. I was picked up from the airport and taken to where I was staying. I was then picked up the following day, taken to my consultant where I had someone with me the whole time, even though he was English speaking surgeon, there are words he didn’t get the meaning off that’s where Javier came in. He took me then to my CT scan, got my bloods done, took me to where I wanted to go. Following day, picked me up again to take me for my MRI and again, stayed with me, took me back to accommodation. Next afternoon. Bought me back to hospital for my surgery. Waited with my husband and when I was back in my room and knew all was ok, went home. When discharged, took me back to accommodation ( on way, picked up my prescription) daily calls to make sure all ok. Then back for my check up. And then picked me up at 3 am for my 5.40 am flight. Javier. Was so amazing. And can’t thank him enough for everything. And I know people say, but sure that’s his job, but it’s the way he makes you feel at ease and reassurance, makes a huge difference.
