Disappointed of Hampshire

Hi,

I thought that I would buy one of your helmets to see what they were like.

The first helmet I ordered turned out to be unavailable in the size you had advertised. After some correspondence I changed the order, with your agreement to a helmet in XXL. When the helmet arrived, you described it as XL, XXL. Odd.

When I looked at it, it looks like a small.

Anyway, it seems the time has run out and you have managed to unload what I presume is a surplus size on a customer who wanted one of your helmets.

I am considering my options.

Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback. We’re sorry to hear you feel disappointed, especially as we were in ongoing contact to try and make sure you received a helmet you would be happy with.

From our records, your original order was for a Hedonist Zinc in XL, which unfortunately was out of stock in that size. We explained that the largest size we offer in this model is XXL and also suggested other options. You initially considered the Made-To-Order version but later requested to switch to a different model, the Heroine x Bike Shed in XXL — which by then had sold out. We then provided you with the list of remaining XXL helmets in our Last Chance Sale, and you selected the Hedonist Signature Black XXL.

We updated your order accordingly and shipped it on 23rd July at no extra cost as a goodwill gesture. Upon receipt, you kindly acknowledged that our customer service was “fine” but said the helmet felt too small and that you would give it to your grandson. We immediately followed up asking where the fit felt tight and requesting your head measurement so we could recommend a better option or arrange a return/exchange within the 14-day return period.

On 28th July and again later, we sent reminders, and your last reply advised you were still “trying to find a tape measure” and hadn’t yet tried the helmet on. Unfortunately, we didn’t hear back after that, and the return period has since passed.

That said, even though we are now well beyond the return window, we would still be happy to make an exception on this occasion and arrange an exchange out of goodwill. If you’d like to take us up on this offer, please reply to our Customer Services email so we can help you find the right fit.

Best helmet on the market - this is my 2nd and either one exceeded my expectations. Pity though that we have to pay the extra taxes on the continent.

Really happy with my custom Hedon…

Really happy with my custom Hedon helmet. Communication throughout the process was clear and helpful. The design is clean, stylish, and well-made. You can tell a lot of care goes into the craftsmanship. It looks great and fits perfectly. Definitely worth it if you want something unique and high quality.

Great helmet and great service

Great helmet and great service. Was dubious about spending this sort of money on a helmet but I must say it’s worth it. I’ve owned all brands of helmets including Shoei and Arai and I must say this is hands down better.
I was worried about noise (Heroine Racer 2) but I needn’t have worried, by far the quietest helmet I’ve worn. Also, it’s a pleasure to wear, light, comfortable and in addition, it looks great.
I would highly recommend, if you’re considering one, stop and buy!!

Communications are poor.

Communication is the foundation of good business. I have a few products and have been trying to enquire about a bespoke helmet but unfortunately my enquiries have gone unanswered.

Such a shame. Product is fantastic. Customer service well below par.

We would like to clarify that your helmet was not faulty or misdescribed — it was exactly as shown and described, and sold in perfect working condition. As such, it does not fall under the scope of the UK Consumer Rights Act for mandatory refunds.

I’ve owned a HEDON Hedonist helmet for over 10 years now, and I’m still fully satisfied with it — a high-quality, durable product with outstanding comfort. More recently, I purchased a custom full-face helmet, and once again, the experience was excellent.

I received my Heroine Racer today and…

I received my Heroine Racer today and it’s a work of art. I took it out on the highway and couldn’t believe the comfort and lack of wind noise.

I was between sizes and Anne gave me helpful guidance and advised me to size up as the helmets tend to fit a little bit small. Communication was very timely throughout.

I’ve had Schuberth and Arai helmets before and they were very good but my new Hedon is easily the best helmet I’ve ever owned. Bonus: it makes you look cool in a retro way, not like a bubblehead/Gazoo.
