This is the 2nd property i have sold using Hek Jones and can honestly say they have been fantastic!

Highly Recommend Hek Jones as they were…

Highly Recommend Hek Jones as they were absolutely fabulous from start to finish. We bought our house and had Hek Jones deal with all the legal stuff. They made the whole process super easy. Always there to answer any queries and dealt with any issues along the way. They responded very quick to emails. I would definitely use them again if I had any legal issues.

Outstanding Service

Alex and Mark are my go to conveyancers. They make the whole process really easy and really give 100% in everything they do when you are a client. Alex's knowledge of the legal system is first class and I wouldnt hesitate to recommend them. They offer outstanding professionalism and make things less stressful even when there is a lot to do.

I wish I had read the Google reviews…

I wish I had read the Google reviews before I went with them. Exact same scenario I'm now in (my heart sinks knowing I should have been more careful).

I'm going into month 5 now waiting for a re-mortgage!! Remortgage, no new searches needed, no surveys nothing. Initially gave the case to Laura as I networked with her, let's just say that didn't end well after a few months, with calls being hung up on me for following up. For the respect that was there in the previous life, I won't say more. But she then left the business mid case.

Then case got assigned to Abigail Olsen who has been nothing but a nightmare too. Emails don't get responded to. Ever! Then when she comes she's asking for a charge that the land registry already sent to them a month before!! She just hadn't checked. Have since been sending emails. nothing. Called a few times , nothing. The last I did some random receptionist said she couldn't see anything so couldn't help, I asked for the formal complaints procedure and basically said she was the procedure. I had to tell her the issue and she would escalate it "So what's the issue?" she said. Ma'am have you not been listening all this time. This inconvenience is stressing me out because you already have everything you need and in a month my mortgage offer will be expiring. After retelling she tries to explain that they have been busy and basically tried to resolve this issue she's meant to escalate.

Week later still no response from Abigail after another chaser and here I am. Will probably go to the legal ombudsman, not for me but for others who will rely on them for their service and can risk losing a lot because of such lack of care. They've already been paid after all so why should they right. Very stressful and devastating.

If you are reading this and haven't gone with them yet, this is your sign!

Top Solicitors.

I contacted Hek Jones through the recommendation of a friend, After using other Solicitors over the years for my business I can safely say this is the best company I have been fortunate to deal with. Totally professional yet personal and approachable, they were genuine and I did not seem to just be a client name on a bit of paper. Alex and her PA Mark were absolutely brilliant, the sale of my property was flawless and I would not hesitate to recommend Hek Jones to anyone in the future.

I used Hek Jones for the sale of my…

I used Hek Jones for the sale of my house and unfortunately my experience was very disappointing.

The solicitor handling my case, Abigail, was often very rude in her communication and overall the level of service was poor. Responses to emails and queries were slow, and I frequently had to chase for updates which caused unnecessary delays during the sale process.

When I finally received my completion statement, the amount of money sent to me was incorrect. I only realised this after the figures were checked for me. I raised the issue immediately but even two weeks later I am still chasing for the remaining £118 that should have been paid.

Selling a property is stressful enough without poor communication and payment errors. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this firm.

1 star is generous!

Do not use if you want your house purchase/sale to complete quickly. It takes them a minimum of 18 months it seems. They apparently have a system whereby they only answer emails in the order they receive them in, which seems absurd considering some clients will be close to completion and will need quicker responses than 2 weeks!
Not sure if they are just taking too many clients on or if they are just very inefficient but regardless i would not recommend at all!

Light at the end of a tunnel.....

We have been the long road of selling/buying a house for 3 years, due to vendors pulling out and other technical issues. We have used conveyance solicitor Natalie for the entire journey. She was proactive with her communication, accessible and her attention to detail was impeccable.
We would most definitely recommend and use Hek Jones again especially with Natalie onboard!

DO NOT INSTRUCT!!

Hek Jones Solicitors have failed to complete the Land Registry registration 15 months after our house purchase, and the work remains outstanding to this day.

This prolonged and unjustifiable delay has occurred despite repeated chasing and clear explanations of the serious consequences. Their failure has now placed our forward purchase and our buyer at real risk, creating unnecessary stress and potential financial loss.

Communication has been consistently poor, progress has been unacceptable, and there has been a complete lack of urgency or accountability. This is basic conveyancing work that should have been completed long ago.

We are now left with no option but to escalate this matter to the Legal Ombudsman. Unless this issue is resolved immediately, we strongly advise others to think carefully before instructing Hek Jones Solicitors.

I would recommend Hek Jones, great performance

I would recommend Hek Jones and Alexandra Jenkins who made the purchase easy and efficient. Alex and Mark kept me informed throughout and over the Christmas period which I assumed would slow things down, it didn't, great service and if needed in the future I'll use again, would thoroughly recommend.

Very disappointed with this company

Very disappointed with this company. Began the process in late October 2026 of remortgaging. First thing Heidi had an issue with was a restriction on the title, and I could instantly tell this was going to be a defining issue of the process. I had already purchased the property with finance a few months prior and the solicitors used for that part had no issue getting past the restriction with the lender. Heidi needed more paperwork, from the solicitor which she kept asking me to request, which is highly unusual since she is the conveyancer. Despite the other solicitors sending her all the paperwork, none of it was good enough and she always needed more. I spoke with multiple other solicitors in this time, explaining the problem in detail and they were all able to get over the issue. After 5 weeks of nothing being achieved due to Heidi needing more of the paperwork relating to the clawback I decided to go to an alternative solicitor who was able to get through the process. My bill was almost 50% of what the whole completed transaction should have cost, despite no progress being made in the slightest. I wasted alot of time and money using this company resulting in 2 months of lost processing time and almost £500.00 I still haven’t received my refund of the remainder fees two weeks later.

Would definitely recommend Natalie Flint

Once we were assigned Natalie Flint we were more than happy with our experience. Natalie kept us updated along the way and replied to my emails immediately. She was happy to speak with us on the telephone and we never felt rushed talking to her. She gave us her full attention and answered all questions and queries we had. More than helpful. Natalie was always courteous, friendly and helpful and she was a refreshing change following our harrowing experience with the estate agent over the past months. I would definitely recommend Natalie.

Fantastic service and excellent solicitors.

Fantastic communications, clear and precise advice and very timely. Chased the other side solicitors without any prompting and the lender. The property exchanged and completed as agreed. Met all of our expectations and more. By far the best conveyancing solicitors I have used, and I have used plenty in recent years in South Wales.

Great experience

I had a fantastic experience with Hek Jones Solicitors from start to finish. The team were calm, responsive, and completely on top of things throughout my sale and move.

Is anyone dealing with this sale?

Is anyone dealing with this sale?
The memorandum of sale was sent on the 10th September 2025.
To date our solicitor has sent many, many emails yet she has not received any enquiries or agreed the contract with the buyers solicitor.
She has received emails from Natalie Flint from 5th November awaiting director sign off before enquiries can be raised. How long does this take…?
We are now 2nd December and still nothing has been received and this is completely ridiculous.
Is there anyone actually anyone from Hek Jones dealing with this sale?

Update; 16th December
Following this review my solicitor received the enquiries a couple of days later. My solicitor responded with the answers on 10th December. We followed it up today and received this:
Your replies are currently under review. We will revert when the earliest opportunity presents itself. I’m sure you can appreciate, this week is exceptionally busy with completions before the Christmas break.”
There’s no hurrying up this solicitor. They’re just too busy.

Hek jones have already stated that there is a trainee dealing with it, who needs all their work checking by a superior …..so this does not help with the response time.

I will keep posting updates, until this exchanges contracts to ensure clarity in timescales.

Update; 18 December
I completely refute your statement. I strongly recommend you check your instructions. Your client - my buyer, wanted to move into this property by November, latest December. Your company has persisted in delaying this process by incompetence.
If you continue to assert this deflective blame I will have no alternative to report your company to the Law Society, alongside your client who will be happy to join me by voicing their astonishment at your invented version that suits your sloppy unprofessionalism.
Can I respectfully suggest, instead of insinuating untruths, you just get on with progressing this sale.

Just ask for Laura

Laura made my overall experience Great! Her one to one service was second to none. She worked extremely hard to ensure that my house was sold ASAP. She was full of COVID and the day of completion, could hardly speak over the phone and she still went through it all with me and got my sale sorted, when she should have been in bed. She was so ill, bless her. The service I received was truly excellent.
