Great meals. Prep times unrealistic.

The food I have thus far received has been very good. The recipes are also varied, inspiring and well thought out. The preparation times are always too short - the more complicated or involved the dish, the longer the discrepancy between the given and the actual preparation times. They are simply not realistic for me, as a normal, albeit quite experienced cook, aged 67.

A great time saver,but….

Its a great time saver!
Unfortunately its a lot of packaging.
When you dont choose the meals, The prechosen ones are often tje ones with low budget.
Its a lot of parsley and the mixed herb bags are a pain to sort out - often takes almost as long as the cooking itself.
New clients often get nice extras, but as a standing client it gets quiet expensive and the Bonusses you get are often not really bonusses (20% off ad ons you have to pay for)
Sometimes ingredients are missing and sometimes the vegetables are not quite fresh anymore.
I recommended Hello Fresh to my mom and it was really difficult for her to stop it again - since then I don’t recommend to friends anymore as I don’t want this on me.

disappointed

I had an unpleasant experience with you. You were unreliable. A shipment did not reach me. One of your carriers lied. Since I had relied on your delivery, I incurred considerable effort and expense. Everyone can make mistakes. Unfortunately, I did not appreciate your complete lack of interest. I would have expected an apology and a generous credit note for the mistake. Nothing.
You are not good enough for such arrogant behaviour and, moreover, you are too expensive.

The idea is good but the quality has…

The idea is good but the quality has been decreased. Food often is either damaged or the packages full of melt-water (esp. spices). Sometimes we miss a cooking card or some parts are not described. In total we have the feeling the product were bought from B2B markets and are only repacked before they duration has been reached. We will change Hello Fresh to other supplier now and hope they will focus more on quality than margin in future.

Box went missing

Box went missing, no feedback, no alternative, had to call 3 times just to hear that I should be patient. In the end the box was never delivered.

Great variety of dishes and many healthy options

The delivery service is much better than it used to be. The weekly delivery is almost always on time (+/- 1 hour) and the goods are never damaged (unlike in the past when HelloFresh did not have its own delivery service).
The selection of menus you can chose from are plenty with many different choices. We are currently ordering 3 dishes for a family of four every week and prefer low carb and vegetarian dishes. It helps our family to eat healthy and healthy meals live to try new dishes and new herbs and spices.

Advances my recipe knowledge

It's a great opportunity for me to discover new recipes and make family friendly international dishes with minimal effort. Everything is very well described and easy to follow. The ingredients have always been fresh and high quality.
The only critique I have is the pricing which really makes it a luxury for me. Which is OK for some weeks. In other weeks I have to pause it since I'm a single raising mom with a part time job.
But for everyone who wants to pimp their cooking experience and has more than a few peanuts in the purse, I absolutely recommend it!

3 times the box got delivered to…

3 times the box got delivered to neighbors, although it had the correct address. 1 time a few items were missing and the last time the vegetables were old. So I´m out.

Disappointing Start with Voucher System and Customer Support

I have not even received my first box yet, and my experience has already been frustrating. The referral voucher disappeared right after I authorized my card for payment, and none of the vouchers (referral or first-box promotions) worked properly. Instead of getting the promised benefit, the pricing kept changing on its own, always in a way that was worse for me.
I contacted customer service the first time the voucher vanished, and while they sounded supportive, nothing meaningful changed. The numbers kept shifting again without explanation. When I reached out a second time, I received generic responses with no real answers and no effort to understand my concerns.
I wanted this to be a smooth, helpful service to make my life easier with groceries and meal planning. Instead, I had to chase down clarity on basic billing issues before even receiving a single meal. That’s not the experience I expected, and now I already feel hesitant about relying on customer support going forward.
I hope my first box goes well, but so far this has not been a positive introduction to the service.

Poor delivery partner

I’m writing to express my frustration with the poor delivery service provided by DPD, which you have chosen as my courier. I’ve been experiencing recurring issues with their service every week.

The problems I’ve encountered include boxes being marked as delivered but never arriving, and boxes being dropped without ringing. Today, my box was scheduled for delivery, but was instead kept in their warehouse and rescheduled for tomorrow. How can they keep fresh food in their warehouse?

After spending over an hour calling various customer service numbers, my box finally arrived, but it was completely damaged at my main door. The customer service response I received was to simply return the box.

This is simply unacceptable. I cannot be reporting issues every Monday, or not even being sure if my meal plan will come.

Was sceptical at first, but...

I've had a few HelloFresh boxes and experienced zero issues with both them, and their delivery.

First delivery, there was a slight misunderstanding with the address (complicated, doesn't matter) and they called me and were SO kind. Like. Really!

Food always fresh and cooled for hours, recipes easy, portion size perfect. Can honestly recommend, was critical at first too. Glad I decided to give it a go.
