Blocked trades

Blocked trades. Cancelled orders resulting in massive losses. Zero communication. Their US broker/dealer is a pipsqueak with no capital so they limit the stock you can buy and sometimes remove it completely. Also people have reported settled funds in their buying power dissappearing and being used without the permission. AVOID AVOID AVOID.

Disaster

As of this morning, my account is simply missing over $300 USD that has just vanished. So much for their 'world class asset protection'. Their platform is missing hundreds of standard features, trading is extremely slow and over the course of the last few weeks, I could not log in until well after two hours of market opening due to significant bugs in their programming. Do not use this company. They will literally cost you thousands in lost opportunities. Absolutely horrendous customer service.

Avoid

Started great but quickly started to show their true colours.
The App is very glitchy and froze for days. Cannot access markets, cannot trade. Complete lock out.
Today they have removed the buy button on certain stocks, which completely removes the ability to trade effectively. They have squandered the trust that existed.
If they don't have a stable App, if they don't allow users to actually trade, then what is the point?
I'm now concerned my funds may be as risk.
Summary - don't bother, find another trader who can actually fulfil their part of the deal.

Garbage

If you're the type of person who likes seeing their money go into minus in front of your eyes while youve been pressing the sell button for hours then its the app for you.

This is the worst app ever

This is the worst app ever. No way for communication with them. I transferred money on Tuesday they said the funds would be available on Tuesday 8:30 am NY time. Today is Monday, 7 days have passed and I'm still waiting for the funds to come to my account for trading, though they show that they have received the funds and are transferring to trade account

Shop around for other brokers first

I've been using Stake for nearly a year and a half now. The recent app crashes are nothing new, the extent to which the app crashes is definitely the worst its ever been. However, prior to the GME and AMC spikes the app was slow, live market prices not updating, sell orders not working the app was just generally slow. There really isnt a big difference from the free version and black aside from faster turn around times to trade, it still take 1 day regardless to get your money back from trades. I'd shop around with other brokers before using Stake they have poor communication with their customers and the recent "updates" they've done to handle traffic volume has literally fixed nothing. The recent sell and buy limit rules they've brought in are going to hurt a lot of people in regards to making and losing money, real poor form from them.

I like the app 👍💎

There's a lot of one star review bombers on here cos they had technical issues with trading a certain stock this week 🚀🚀🚀 that isn't market manipulation though.

I have used Stake since August 2020 and enjoyed the experience with easy to use functions and a slick retro UI design that has a minimalist style, showing off your tendies with great impact. Multiple transfers back and forth worked fine and in a couple days.

However, there has definitely been crashes with orders on a particular likeable stock this past week which may have caused people to lose money (if they were selling like 📄🙌 weaklings) and I agree it's annoying. But they have not limited buying any stocks AT ALL (unlike some), and have posted constant updates on how they're gonna diagnose and fix the crashes over the weekend.

They're a relatively small group of coders in Sydney not some evil corpo, get your conspiracy theories out of here.

Avoid at all costs

Stake is complicit in market manipulation and is spreading disinformation to it's users. Even if I was to be naively generous and assume they were merely grossly incompetent, this would still warrant legal action (let alone a 1 star review). Try a different broker. [REPORTED TO ASIC]

Manipulation of market

Manipulation of market. Won't let my order for GME go through. Froze my money, and won't return it to my account. App keeps crashing. Everyone migrate off stake. This app is rigged.

Slow

Slow, unresponsive
Cost me lots of money due to lost opportunities
Wouldn't let me cancel my orders when there were changes - making me lose money by going through with my orders.
Doesn't improve with Stake Black either.

Even if I cut it some slack and say it's because of the whole GME crisis, still would not recommend.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS - YOU WILL LOSE MONEY

AVOID - DO NOT USE. I entered over $500 NZD into my account yesterday at 12:30am, waited until 1:05am this morning for it to be processed, ordered 1 $GME stock after hours and I wake up at 7:30am to see that this stock is either still in order (after the market being open for multiple hours) or the app/website is so broken you can't even check what is happening. The website also crashed multiple times while I was lightly browsing yesterday, as such. Even if there is a huge serge in users, you should have the power as a company to process this data. The market is about to close and I still don't know what is happening with my order. DO NOT USE THIS TRADING PROVIDOR!

Completely lost confidence in Stake,

Completely lost confidence in Stake,

Closed positions earlier than i intended too since i cant trust that stake will work properly when i really need it too right now.

Currently have 5 pending market sell orders in popular high volume stocks that never exercised. i placed these after market close yesterday. its now 2hrs from market close the following day they are still sitting there.

i no longer wish to exercise however i cannot cancel the orders and its been stuck all day.

Stakes Twitter has claimed the issues are due large amount of people trading and also their us broker is having issues.

I understand the market has been crazy the last few days however they should be prepared for high volume events.

Maybe Stake should invest more into creating a more stable platform and partnering with a more stable us broker.

currently looking at other options

This platform costs me in lost trade

This platform costs me in lost trade, I'm talking about tens of thousands of dollars. It's complete rubbish, it randomly crash and you can't buy or even sell. This is what happened, during the most sensitive time of trade, we are talking about once in a lifetime the "short squeeze" and this happened. I missed out on profits when the stock is crashing I want to login and sell but I can't. The platform keeps freezing and logging me out because their server apparently couldn't handle load, and customer service is non existence, the only way to contact them is their email which is an absolute joke because you need to wait until next day before they can reply.

What's the use of free commission when the system is completely unreliable, please do yourself a favor and don't ever use this platform. You will REGRET it.

Incredibly slow

Incredibly slow, cost me money by making me miss stock prices because of how the slow app is. Kicked me out mid buy and won't let me log back in even after a password reset, useless!! Never using again and would never recommend unless enjoy your money being held hostage.

Unusable

The app will not even allow me to complete registration. It refuses to let me proceed past the address page. My account is open but unusable.

Stake app is sometimes so slow and frozen many times, you just couldnt log in and real time data is not loaded. It might cause troubles for people wanting to buy and sell. Please fix this slow and frozen issue Stake. Beside this, the interface is alright
