Disgusted at this company, I have no recollection of being told that this was a subsription, why would you do that for something that you would expect to be a one off and then what you have paid for does not work. The number supplied is not recognised when dialling to tell them to cancel. I have had to get a block on my card from this company as I am Unable to contact them.

Total scam. Why is this not illegal?
The trace only works if the phone confirms that is happy to be traced! For a *lost* phone? And if the phone is stolen, even the thickest thief would not give their identity away. As much use as a chocolate kettle.
In fairness they cancelled my "subscription" straight away and I may even get my pound back.

This company is a fraud
This company is a fraud, I'm disgusted at their unprofessional behaviour. 2 weeks ago one of our friends lost her mobile phone and tried to use these crooks to find her mobile phone. 10 days later they have taken £29.90 from my account, mobile phone on their website case is still pending. They say its clearly written their terms and conditions which is not true, stay clear of these crooks.

Like everybody else here, I hadn't been aware that after paying the £1 fee I was going to get signed up, so a nasty shock when I noticed the deduction from my bank account. I can't log into my helpmobi account, no password reset materialised (assuming there was even any form of an account) and only automated response to the contact form. So yes, definitely a site to be reported again for investigation into working practice. Probably covered in the very small print somewhere, but it shouldn't be allowed - it needs to be made clearer and 3 days is nothing for a cooling off period. The trace just did not work at all (we had lost a phone during a walk), hence requesting a refund and full cancellation.

Paid the £ for them not to find my missing phone. Luckily when they tried to take £29 from my card the bank declined it. Complete fraud and waste of even the £1. Took them 2 years to reply & can't see missed calls from them

Doesn't work and massive con
Doesn't work, it's a con to monopolise from people's panic and angst. They send you a contract to the phone via text message to the phone that you have lost! Which they class as confirmation that you have agreed to their contract. I asked them how could i read it of you sent it to the phone I have been trying to locate?!
They then charge you £30 a month unless you cancel a subscription that you do not know you have joined, so you are paying them for a service or lack there of, as the service didn't even work.
So three days after all the stress of losing a phone I was charged for this con.
Thankfully I managed to cancel the subscription. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Hoping I can escalate to recieve a refund for the original charge. Huge trap. They must have messed about with many people. It is a shame people like this are allowed to run businesses.

I had to give one star as I had no choice.. THEY ARE SCAMMERS.. I have requested a refund for the 29.90 they took from my account after the search was unsuccessful to find my phone. (I very much doubt they Will refund me but got to live in hope)

As others have stated helpmobi and its associated followmobi is simply a scam that should be closed down. You think you are commiting to £1 but they take £29.90, do not send you any confirmation and only give you 3 days cooling off.

Funny before posting this review no sign of refund

Lesson learnt? Use trustpilot BEFORE engaging online even when in a bit of a desperate situation.
Ok so you can see their response to my review. almost TWO YEARS after i posted it. Says all you need to know.
PS would also point out that ai stated i got a refund after posting the original review. As far as i concerned case closed and original review still valid.
