HP make it virtually impossible to fix…

HP make it virtually impossible to fix any of their laptops, they wont sell you the parts in the fist place, their laptops especially are poorly designed in-fact I would argue they are designed to fail, the favourite failure point seems to be the hinges, some models even have a tiny notch at the stress point near to the hinge itself, one has to wonder way the little notch is there if its not to weaken the hinge

the phone support is set up to fob you off asap if your product is out of warranty,

the only good sturdy products they make is the ProBook's and some of the older EliteBook's

recently had one were the password was forgotten and they advised the motherboard would need to be changed yet they couldn't supply one, neither could they recommend anyone despite the laptop being a few weeks out of warranty.

I tend to stay away from HP stuff, poorly designed products and poor customer support, might be a different sorry for their large corporate clients I suspect

Sign in to print a page?

I've been waiting for 30 minutes on a page that says "Thanks for waiting" on my phone whil;e setting up my HP printer. I just wanted to print one black and white page and it's been half an hour for setting up the printer creating accounts. Since I have nothing else to do while waiting for all of these I felt compelled to leave a review. I will be definently avoiding to purchase anything with the HP brand on it. They used to be good, but now the user experience is just crap. Do not buy ! unless your hobby is creating accounts and waiting around for stuff to be configured or set-up.

OUT OF WARRANTY printers that now wont, scan, email, copy or print.

I have two HP laser printers, out of warranty. For my small businesses. New firmware has now turned my two printers into bricks! I used non HP toner in my OUT OF WARRANTY printers that now wont, scan, email, copy or print. I cant afford to replace the toner at the astronomical price of HP toners at the moment so am now stuck unable to print for my businesses. I WILL NOT BE PURCHASING HP TONER WHEN I CAN AFFORD TO. I WILL BE PURCHASING DIFFERENT PRINTERS.

Best customer service of any tech company

Not sure why everyone has such a downer on HP. I've had nothing but great service - when a fault with a scanner couldn't be fixed via phone support they replaced it no questions asked, despatched the same day.

Also, there was no endless waiting for tech support on the phone - my call was picked up straight away.

Better than Apple, Microsoft, Dell and all the others combined.

Very Disappointed

Only bought this printer because HP305 ink cartridges don't appear to be available!! have previously owned, successfully used and set up other HP printers - I appreciate this is one of the cheapest models in the range -and as I said bought in an emergency situation... but very disappoimnted very slow very complicated to set up won't print documents [prints error and status messages ] I will struggle on with it until HP305 cartridges are available again, but fear I have wasted my money - IF you are going to buy an HP printer DO NOT BUY THIS 'Mickey Mouse' bit of kit pay a bit more and get a printer that is up to the standard you would expect from a major company like Hewlet Packard

Printer off-line (again and again and again)

Bought 3 HP laptops (daughters and myself) along with a HP Envy 7134 printer). The laptops have been fine but the printer has been dreadful, constantly going offline even though the printer says its connected to the wi-fi and the signal strength is "excellent". I've tried all the recommended solutions from the virtual adviser and the HP Support Assistant and the HP Print & Scan Doctor. I can spend anything up to 2.5 hours before the problem is finally fixed only for it to happen again and again and again, sometimes within hours, sometimes within a few days. Off we go again, fix after fix after fix. The printer quality is actually good and the HP printer ink service is excellent but the incessant issue with the printer has left a nasty taste in my mouth. Judging by other comments on the HP Support Forum, this is a common and known issue.

Is Hewlett Packard really this low-rent and petty?

I am writing about the HP Instant Ink program. In short, avoid it all costs. It is an absurdly confusing program that is really no more than a high-pressured rip-off. I can't believe I fell for it and now, after cancelling it, I am being told that the unused cartridges I received under the program can no longer be used!! How low-rent can a company be. Hewlett Packard, I am embarrassed for you!

Extremely difficult to access customer service

Hp Envy Printer 6400
Keeps going to sleep and not waking up. I have to unplug the printer each time we start a new job.
I work in graphics and print management.
Getting any, I mean ANY kind of advice seems almost impossible. I do not make a habit of coming here to complain but there is no one to provide any advice to UK customers. There seems to be a positive avoidance when it comes to customer care and product support. I have wasted 3 or 4 hours trying to find the answer. I am returning the product, I will not buy HP again.

Prompt obsolescence

After 2-3 years without problems, now I keep having problems: black screen, white screen, crashes, slows down, transform sleeping mode into crash etc...

I hope there is no causality relation but in parallel, I kept receiving offers to buy support and notification sthat my computer may not be supported anymore.

Will not buy again HP. ASUS (sons computers) far far better.

My laptop developed a fault.

My laptop developed a fault.
Item was collected the next working day and returned to me in 2 days.
Work was carried out by Flextronics Gsm Hp Laptop under warrantee.
Not only did they repair fault but also changed the case of the laptop due to a bad scratch for free.
Most companies will have refused to repair due to scratch, HP din to as it had nothing to do with the fault of bad GPU.

I thought I would give HP a fair go at resolving my issues. Spent ages with virtual assistant.....then on the App. support. Did not get any solutions. Yet my printer worked fine until recently. My advice would be to buy any printer but HP. My experiences echo all the negative reviews that have been posted already. I will certainly not be recommending HP to anyone.

A company that truly shows how little…

A company that truly shows how little it cares about customers.

HP deliberately play games with their software drivers so that products do not work as operating systems get upgraded. This is a weak attempt to get people to buy a new printer/scanner/camera each time operating system companies update their software, and is considered in the software industry to be the lowest of the low.

A quick search for any printer model older than 5 years shows THOUSANDS of users hunting for software that will enable to continue to use the product they have paid for!

Never have I seen any software related company play so many games, hiding driver versions that work, removing articles that help people fix issues with HP products.

I will never give HP another penny of my money and I highly recommend others to follow suit. This is dishonest, unethical behaviour.

I wish I had not been sold my Deskjet 2600. Wireless seems to drop out, and when trying to connect it prints pages of gobbledygook. I just wanted a printer to connect to my laptop. I pay £1.99/month and don't know if my printer is connected properly. Account: 9299019406

Another company with appalling after sales service! I have been made to wait hours on the phone, then asked to repeat things over and over! Now my replacement printer has not arrived as promised! I will remove all HP products from my home because if if I can't trust after sales then I'm wasting my time and money!

Will not buy HP Printers due to built in obsolescence

My old HP Officejet 6500A All-in-One Printer doesn't load paper any more. But I recently spent a whopping £88 on new ink cartridge multi pack 920 XL which I can't use but are still in warranty. I am willing to buy another HP printer if I can swap these for new ones. Can I find out if/how I can do this? I've spent about 3 hours on the web. Found a phone number but it's all recorded messages. HP are too big and don't care about their customers or the environment as they seem to have built in obsolescence.

HP Officejet 4620 and Easy Ink

This is the last time I'm buying a printer from HP. For the last 3 days I've been trying to resolve a printing issue, buying new cartidges and the printer still reading as ink low and pushing for easy ink subscription on a daily basis.

I've waisted over £55 on new ink and using up lots of paper trying to resolve the issue.

So today I've bought an Epson.

Second review for this useless firm

Second review for this useless firm. Printer purchased last year (desk jet 3760).
It's never worked as it should , wireless feature only works if your literally sitting on it.
Continually jams with paper & if you ask it to print more than 10 pages it simply forgets what it's doing !!
The only thing that it prints with success is it's own diagnostic pages.
Spent hour's & hours on the phone to technical support to no avail.
Hp won't except that this is a faulty product..
I've asked them to send out another machine and they'be simply refused on the provision it wasn't purchased online directly from them on line.
Absolutely the worst printer we've owned followed by diabolical aftercare.
I strongly urge anyone not to buy from these disgusting multi millionaire fat cats.
The product's (printer's) are sub standard .
Please share :)
