A total nightmare!

We are a family of 4 that visited Hidropark today. On arrival, we were met by three security guards, one of which insisted on checking our rucksack, even though it was going into a locker beside where he was standing. The locker itself was very small and cost €7. The actual price for getting into the park itself was around about €120 just for one day, which was very steep. Having got in and past the security guards, we could see that the place was not big at all. It was quite shabby, and the floor tiles are extremely hot. You could not walk on them in bare feet. So we quickly went over to a shaded area to find a sunbed.and sat down. We were immediately pounced on by a guy who told us to pay €6 for the sun bed, Then we went on to one of the rides, queuing up for quite a long time. The lifeguards were very officious and very dogmatic, not very friendly. and insisted on us standing exactly where they told us, and not to stand on steps or anywhere near the rides, heaven forbid! They were actually quite intimidating. When we actually got on the ride - a simple six lane slide - it was not particularly wonderful. We went to the wave pool after that, which was okay, but there were way too many people in there which was quite dangerous. And again, the lifeguards were going crazy with their whistles, telling people off for everything from having kids on their shoulders to wearing sunglasses and all sorts of other very ridiculous rules they had. That was the same everywhere we went.

At lunchtime, we went over to the grill restaurant and ordered two chicken kebab meals with chips, a hot dog and a pizza. The pizza arrived totally uncooked. That was sent back. They heated a new one. That was also uncooked in parts. The hot dog was cold, sent back and reheated, and the chicken kebabs were not wonderfully tasty. The chips had no salt on them and had no taste at all and the salad that came with the chicken kebabs was basically onion with a bit of tomato and a bit of pepper in there. And all of this cost 74 euros including drinks. Absolutely ridiculous.

We then queued up for half an hour for a big slide. The metal tower you climb up to get to the slide moves a lot at the top, and It’s 15 meters up!! And the slide stops halfway down, and then you get a wave of water from behind.that pushes you on again. Really slow and actually quite useless.

If I could give negative points, I would. It's not even worth zero. It's an absolute nightmare of a place. Totally not recommended!

PS: @Hidropark: Iff you share an email address with me here, I will gladly reply to you.
