Nice to see a company react to customer requests! They amended their Scanner App to make it far more useful and properly responsive in response to our feedback and when we suggested they implement a missing function they quickly added that. keep up the good work!

I wouldn't touch Hike again with YOUR…

I wouldn't touch Hike again with YOUR barge-pole! This outfit are only one notch above being scammers! Their website (and they themselves) claim to have head offices in Australia, with offices in other countries. However, whenever you contact them, no matter what phone number you choose, ALL calls end up in an Indian call centre. Not that there's anything wrong with that per say, but they keep insisting there IS actually a head office and other offices in other countries when there's clearly not.

These people talk a good game but that's all they do, talk it. It took us over a month before we finally pulled the plug on their POS, after constant problems with integration (to Xero and woo commerce). This after promising a smooth transition (from Vend/Lightspeed), nothing went right and they just kept asking for more time and more time to 'fix' the issues. There was NO follow up, no solutions offered, in fact, I seriously doubt anyone was actually looking at the problems at all!

When we finally pulled the plug and asked for a refund of our initial subscription (plus we paid extra for them to import our products and customers) they told us they would have to put a 'request' to their head office 'in Australia'.

This turned out to be an absolute lie. There is NO head office in Australia, or any other country and whenever we chased them up for an update, they continued to fob us off. They had no intention of forwarding our concerns to ANYONE or ANYWHERE!

There is SO MUCH more I can say about this outfit, but I don't want to waste any more of my time on them. Suffice to say, do NOT engage these people for ANY POS services, they are liars and so poorly resourced (in terms of helpdesk) that they'll have you tearing your hair out trying to deal with them.

Don't go near these people.

Excellent product and great team

Great product and great team. I needed a POS that syncs seamlessly with QuickBooks online . And hike POS aced it 10/10. Other popular POS platforms have a lot of shortcomings when it comes to syncing seamlessly with QuickBooks online for retail point of sale industry.

We moved to our POS and Stock Management system to Hike two years ago and have been delighted with the system and support. Its never easy moving across and we spent consirable time researching companies and very happy we moved across to Hike.

Avoid Hike POS at All Costs – A Nightmare Experience

If you value your sanity, stay far away from Hike POS.

Our experience with them has been nothing short of a disaster. They completely botched the migration from our original POS system (Vend) to theirs, despite assuring us it would be a smooth transition. Instead, we spent countless hours on calls and live chats, chasing solutions that never came. Their team repeatedly promised they were working on it, yet after over a month, they still couldn’t get the integration to function.

Customer service? Absolutely appalling. Every time we requested to speak to a manager, we were told they weren’t on shift. Convenient. Meanwhile, the staff we dealt with, all based in India, seemed to have no authority to actually resolve issues, and the time difference, language barriers, and complete lack of accountability made everything worse.

Eventually, after enduring this mess for far too long (a month), we decided to cancel and request a refund for the upfront subscription payment. Surprise, surprise—this required yet another request to be submitted to their elusive "managers." We just found out that the person handling our case, Supan, never even submitted the request, despite claiming he had weeks ago. When confronted, he simply hung up on us.

At this point, we asked ourselves a crucial question:
➡️ If it took them over a month to (unsuccessfully) fix an integration issue, what would happen the next time something went wrong? Would we have to endure this nightmare all over again?

The answer was clear—Hike POS is an unreliable company that does not prioritize its customers. If they truly cared, they would have a dedicated support system where urgent matters could be escalated. Instead, everything funnels through their ineffective overseas team, making resolution nearly impossible.

Save yourself the frustration and choose a POS provider that actually stands by its service. Hike POS is an absolute waste of time, money, and patience.

As of this moment. Hike, you owe us money. Do the right thing and pay it back.

I was a Quickbooks POS user

I was a Quickbooks POS user, and found myself stranded after QB discontinued support for their POS. After about 8 months of interviewing, I settled on Square. Square is an absolute embarrassment of a "POS" system. It's great for a super small time, mom & pop coffee shop, but for any sort of scaled business, it simply doesn't work. So I began the search again, and found Hike. I WISH i would have found Hike prior to the Square debacle. I can't say enough good things about Hike. It does nearly everything that QB did, and the features that are missing, Hike is working on implementing for a reasonable fee. That is worth it's weight in gold. I am more than happy to pay for specific features if it will streamline our company. A huge thanks to all involved and I look forward to a LONG partnership with Hike. :)

Have used Hike for about 18 months now…

Have used Hike for about 18 months now as it's an app based pos that allows me to have my card payments with a separate provider. I prefer this as I'm not putting all my eggs in one basket and giving complete control over my shop's money handling after a bad experience with Lightspeed.
It's a very complex Epos system though I'm able to use it in a very straightforward and basic way. Staff find it easy to use and it's great being able to book appointments with Deval to iron out any issues we're having or to better utilise the data Hike can provide. I am still finding my way around it and it continues to surprise and impress me despite my joining as only a temporary measure, we've stuck with Hike and will continue to for the foreseeable.

Great POS system!

My company recently transitioned to Hike from Lightspeed. Parth, our onboarding rep, made the process seamless every step of the way. Aside from being far cheaper than Lightspeed, Hike already seems like a more robust system with great features to suit your needs. I highly recommend Hike!

Best POS System

To start I use woo commerce, I was looking for a Point of sale that would sync with my website many of the systems I looked at would only sync inventory but did sync customers I found Hike POS does this which I found very useful also they provide integration with Square payments letting me decide what I want to use instead how other companies push you to use there system lastly it's great to have chat support 24/7 when you have a problem you can simply ask.

Hike and MYOB AccountRight Plus

We use MYOB AccountRight Plus for our accounting, products and basic invoicing. Our business had been using manual written invoices and we needed a system that we could do fast efficient over the counter sales. Whilst MYOB is great for accounts, data and reports - we needed something faster. We did months and months of research and came across Hike POS, it works by syncing a 2 way sync to MYOB and Hike which is great. We use the Hike POS register for over counter sales and it syncs straight into MYOB where we can pick up the invoice and later on send our EOM statements etc. We have had a few teething issues like; Customers dropping out, Customers showing up duplicate, invoices not syncing over properly, the wifi thermal receipt printer not connecting - but all of these things were sorted out via a quick chat with the Hike Support team. It is really quite handy, you can chat to support, they try to help right then and there - if they can't sort out the issue then they create a ticket and get a tech to look into it, usually get back to you in a few hours, and usually all sorted. Been using Hike for about 2 months now and we are so far really liking it, and it is saving us a lot of time and effort on the invoicing front.... Happy User LouiseP here!

We changed in November 2023 to Hike

We changed in November 2023 to Hike, after trying out a few other POS systems. All the others didn't fulfil our expectations, but Hike does it. From the beginning on the technical support and advise by Deval was amazing, literally 24/7. What surprised us the most, that we were asking to implement a feature to exclude certain products from the loyalty scheme, and this was implemented with the January release. Top notch, guys!!! Highly recommended!!!
