Lovely site
First time to the site. A very friendly welcome on arrival. The site is very clean and well looked after. Close to Hay on Wye to either walk or cycle as we did over the three days stay. Definitely would stay here again and we would highly recommend without any hesitation.

Fabulously kept site
Fabulously kept site, all amenities spotless. Very friendly site managers, couldn’t have been any more friendlier and helpful. Lovely quiet, pretty site and road noise not an issue at all. Hay on Wye town centre an easy 25 minute walk away with lovely shops and places to eat.

Excellent Site!
We took our touring caravan to the Hay on Wye site on the 16th April 2024. Its a beautiful well kept site with excellent facilities. Close to the picturesque town of Hay and the Black Mountains. Lisa, Paula and Rob are excellent wardens and keep the site spick and span! We will return next year.

Very warm welcome, lovely site
Recently visited the Hay-on-Wye site and were super-impressed with the friendly welcome (including treats for the dog). New management and staff could not have done more. The facilities were immaculate, modern and spotless. We also loved the views, surrounded by lambs and countryside. Hay is on the doorstep but not walkable for us with a dog too large to lift over stiles, or amenable to walking alongside a fast road. Otherwise perfect.

Wonderful campsite, highly recommend
Wonderful campsite, we highly recommend it. The owners couldn’t be more helpful. The site is in a great spot , close-ish to the road but noise wasn’t an issue. The toilet and showers were great and really clean. I was travelling with 2 small children so really appreciated the wonderful family / accessibly friendly shower !

Enjoying our time at the Glen
Have been on the glen caravan park for 12 months and can honestly say we have been made to feel very welcome, enjoy the peace and quiet the glen offers, beautiful surroundings and very well maintained site which was exactly what we were looking for to get away from the hustle and busy fast pace of life back in the cities.
So far we have enjoyed the lovely walks...the quaint little shops on cleobury mortimer high street and meeting lovely people...we hope it continues for years to come

Excellent site with a great welcome…
Excellent site with a great welcome from site managers. The pitch itself was massive with more than enough room for our camper and awning. Shower facilities immaculate as is rest of site. Limited pot wash facilities but site manager showed me plans for new pot wash to be completed soon. Nice walk into hay along lane and river from site. All in all a great stay.

Immaculate site, maintained to a very high standard with excellent facilities. The only negative for me was the road noise, so if you’re a light sleeper, see if you can get a pitch towards the rear of the site.

Great staff.
Rob and Lisa and the other staff were very welcoming when we arrived and took us to our pitch.
They even had a little welcome pack for the dog.
The site is very well maintained and has plenty of walks from the site including into Hay.
It is well located for Brecon and The Beacons.
The toilets and shower blocks were absolutely spotless.
Highly recommended.

First time Female Solo Camper + Dog
Facilities were excellent and spotlessly clean, and as a Solo Female traveller, on my first car camping experience, I felt very safe. There was a warm welcome for me and my dog from Lisa too.
My only worry is, that for my first campsite, the bar has been set really high and I can only hope that others that follow will reach Hillandale Hay on Wye same standards.🤞😊

Highly recommend
We spent a lovely weekend here camping. The facilities are brilliant, with separate toilets and shower blocks which are honestly the cleanest on any campsite I've ever been on. Showers were hot and powerful. The pitchs are very spacious and generous, I've been to many sites where you feel as if you are on top of one another but not here.
It's a calm and peaceful place to stay, with no noise after 10.30 which everyone adhered too. Which meant for a great night's sleep.
It's around a 20 min walk into town at a decent pace.
Great base for hiking nearby and the town.
I'd definitely come back here again.
