I've used a lot of hosting providers over the years. So far Hivelocity provides the most value I've ever seen. The pricing is excellent and the support has been top notch. 100% satisfied!

I am very happy with the service

I've worked with HiVelocity for over a decade and am consistently impressed with their customer focus and desire to support our requirements. Most recently they showed great support and technical acumen resolving a vexing conflict we were experiencing between our kernel and the automated backup system. Problem solved!

It is very comforting to get a response to a technical issue 1) during the same working day and 2) with a response that is meaningful rather than just a request for additional details. My request was answered with a knowledgeable response giving me some ideas on what to look at for a fix and it was responded to in less than an hour.

HiVelocity support responds quickly and resolves any issues.

Hivelocity staff are racists. As a Chinese person, I have faced unequal treatment and felt the harm caused by discrimination. I want to share my experience today. I am a long-time Heficed user (which Hivelocity has acquired) with a good account history. Initially, they directed us from the Heficed site to register on Hivelocity. I registered and applied for a VPS, but it was never activated. They requested ID verification, and a day later, my account was banned without refund. I strongly suspect racial discrimination, as my information indicated I am Chinese.

Great service, quick response, and expert setup of a reasonably complex coast-to-coast PVLAN with no DT.

A seriously good company with experts on hand to assist. We've been with Hivelocity for 15 years now, and look forward to the next 15!

HiVelocity is consistently helpful beyond what is necessary; and quickly resolves any questions or issues. Rock solid and we plan to stay with them.

They support the abuse of their servers. It's been 7 days since I wrote to abuse team about a scam that happened to me, where the scammer is using their servers to host. No one from the abuse team has written back, and those scam sites are still live.

Tech support and customer support are top notch :)

After doing extensive research on dedicated hosting services for my startup, Hivelocity came out on top. They provide great user experience in shopping for and acquiring dedicated servers. I'm on a year-to-year basis and just 2 months in on my hosting. That's the only thing holding me back from the 5-star rating. So far it's been everything I wanted.

They honored their sale price, set up the server quickly, and responded promptly to a few small issues I had with the initial setup. Network performance is excellent and the server is working well. The API docs could use a little updating in spots but I managed to figure out how to PXE boot my machine after a few attempts.

Great company. Use them for bandwidth, and the support has been good.

I've been utilizing Hivelocity's services for several months now, and i must say, i have nothing but positive feedback. Their servers are reliable and their API is incredibly useful.

However, what truly sets this company apart is their exceptional customer care and support team. Their representatives are not only kind but also highly professional.

Over the years, what was previously a 5-star service has degraded into a rather unhealthy and frankly appalling partnership.

Hivelocity currently hosts around five machines, making up around 5% of our infrastructure overall. Of the numerous DCs we have worked with over the years, they have put in place more null routes on those 5 machines in one night, than we have received over a 7-year period across the other 95% of our infrastructure.

Their DDOS 'mitigation', even at the paid level isn't mitigation, but instead a direct null of the IP address. There appears to be no filtering as part of the paid service.

Support appears to have no understanding of how DDOS attacks work, and simply null route an IP address until an attack subsides - that doesn't feel particularly effective, given we have been forced into an outage due to their lack of protection for 5 hours so far this morning.

Appalling service overall.

I've gotten several "instant" servers that are claimed to be provided in 7 minutes. One time they took about 15 minutes. The other times several hours, and two days so far.

It's hard to add ssh keys to a batch of servers. You need to do it manually one by one. You also need to add to cart individual servers, even if they are in fact the same server, or the same but in a different location, due to constraints in the UI that say there are no more available.

Overall the process of requesting a server to be provisioned is very long both before and after purchase, and if you make a mistake and need to get a server refunded or reloaded, that also takes a long process of back and forth, chats, and paperwork.

It's also impossible to set a single password for a batch of servers, which also makes it much harder to automate the process of adding the ssh keys on your end.

Overall, adequate for a small number of servers if you're not in a rush (1-3).

Provisory update: they have a great attitude in trying to solve things despite many things not "just working" at the first attempt and requiring manual checks and processes.

Again I stress the very positive attitude but we agreed a certain number of servers deployed by today, paid for it, and so far at end of day I have gotten about a third of them and an "I don’t know that we have any capacity left. Will of course refund whatever we can’t provide." I've been a difficult user but if they make you pay and can't rely on availability quoted and committed two days ago it's obviously a problem.
