Excellent from being collected to being dropped home.
The tour guide was so engaging with our group and was so knowledgeable, caring and so efficient. We were all so lucky to have Bobby with us. The crew on the Amorena was fantastic, nothing was too much trouble, the food the cleanliness, the restaurant manager were so attentive kind and friendly we were thoroughly looked after.
The Amorena is a beautiful boat it felt like a boat from the 1950's such nostalgia, but it had such modern facilities. It was a wonderful holiday from start to finishing. I am so glad we had the opportunity to sail with this crew and tour manager on this holiday. All the guests (27) of us were in agreement it was such a fantastic holiday for us all. Nothing could be easier. Picked up and taken back to your door. All travel arrangements made for you and everything runs dependably smoothly. Friendly booking staff who listen to all your needs. All crew on ship formed a happy, friendly confident team. Nothing was too much trouble and the standard was amazing. An exceptional Tour Manager - Bobby. He had brilliant local and historic knowledge. Was friendly and helpful. Very creative in filling our time so that we had a great time that we would always remember. Would definitely book again and recommend this trip to everyone.

It was nice speaking with a friendly person and not with a machine. Katrina was very helpful and efficient.

Our recent trip with Saga on the MV Amorena along the Dalmatian coast was excellent. The food was delicious, the crew friendly and efficient, the cabins comfortable and our tour manager Bobby the best we have ever had (and we have been on many Saga holidays!).

The stress free pick up from home was a really good way to start our amazing holiday. The beautiful M/Y Amorena was our floating home - the onboard staff worked tirelessly and efficiently to keep her spotlessly clean and us looked after and well fed with a variety of lovely food, local wines and beer. Our tour manager Bobby always there when needed - a fount of knowledge from where to eat out to any detail of local history we might ask about. A swim off the boat in the crystal clear Adriatic in a bay surrounded by spectacular scenery was a real highlight for me. The local guides at the different places we visited managed to strike just the right balance of information and entertainment!

This was my first time travelling with Saga, and they did not disappoint. The MV Amorena is a wonderful ship. Our upper deck cabin was lovely and very comfortable, the food was varied and high quality, and Bobby the tour manager was absolutely amazing. A truly great holiday from start to finish!

Great service, great holiday on this SAGA trip on the M/Y Amorena along the north Dalmatian coast. The ship was immaculate, the crew were very friendly, attentive and professional throughout - along with Cruise Director Boze' (Bobby). Nothing was too much trouble. The menu was table d'hote with hot and cold buffet breakfast and set lunch or dinner. To get the standard of food out of such a small galley for 32 guests was nothing short of miraculous. Our cabin on the lower deck was spacious and amply serviced by Tanya. All in all a fabulous week which I would highly recommend.

We made our booking yesterday and Rebecca sorted us out, no problem with anything and we were sorted in no time. Full marks to Rebecca excellent service.

Bobby the tour manager of saga was exceptional. The best tour manager I have ever had. All the staff of the amorena were first class. Exceptional food. Everything organised so well.

We were not advised that the Chauffeur Service pick-up is long before necessary and may mean getting up early, for me aged 90. Heathrow Terminal 5 from our home takes 50 minutes unless there is bad traffic. Saga made the pick-up time 2 hours before the earliest check-in. An extra 30 minutes for possible bad traffic would be sufficient.

Croatia cruise for one week from 24/04/2026
Wow where do we start.
Being picked up on time by Ken and driven to Gatwick and then having Tarik waiting for us when we landed to take us home. Superb service.
When we landed we were greeted with a huge smile by Bobby
Transfer to yacht was very slick.
First impression of the MV Amorena was amazing. Our cabin was in the lower deck which was clean and surprisingly had lots of storage space.
Introductions and briefing for passengers complete. We sat down for a three course dinner with drinks.
And that was just the first day.
Croatia is absolutely stunning and with Bobby’s deep passion for the country we easily fell in love with it too.
The walking tours were very informative. This was mixed with relaxing time sailing. Then seeing the sails go up was simply magical.
The crew were fantastic and every single one of them helped make this trip a unique one.
The food, which was created in a very small kitchen, was very good.
A big thank you to Bobby who was a walking library of information. Nothing was too much trouble for him.
Overall this was a lovely trip for us. Having cruised on big ships and now experienced this cruise I don’t think we will ever go back to the large cruises. Elaine & Dave

SAGA cruise to northern lights started well. 3days before the cruise ended they emptied the pool (I swim daily). Reception told me the pool would be refilled shortly but netted if the seas were rough. The pool remained empty. Lie number 1. The outdoor bar was a joy to hangout n watch scenery. Again, 3 days before docking they began scrubbing decks, hoses hanging over the bar, buckets everywhere. A martini in a construction zone. They wanted to get ahead before the next cruise. Customer service UK took a month to reply then further lies…. Oh maintenance was required!!!!! What nonsense. They were cleaning in prep for the next cruise with only 2days turnaround time. So…. This 12000£ cruise was ruined by SAGA’s policy to be cleaned n ready to sail again prior to docking. Never again SAGA!!! For goodness sake when you make errors such as these be honest. Good folks walk away from fabrication and poor customer service.

The voice at Saga was helpful and friendly. She guided me through the process, explaining as she went.

Saga boutique cruise, April 2026.

Had a fantastic cruise on a super ship with great crew, good choice of food, plenty to drink, good entertainment and a variety of shore excursions.
Sadly spoiled by a costly Special Offer that wasn’t.

Early in the week we had a leaflet offering a ”custom pick and mix salon moment”, select three treatments from the list for £79.
With leaflet in hand my wife booked three wash and blow dry from the listed items.
We were charged 3x£39 I.e. £117. Upon querying the account the Salon Manager claimed that we were not entitled to the offer because:-

1) Each appointment was discounted by £10 and that was the offer - utter rubbish
2)The appointments were made at different times - untrue, all booked together
3) My wife had different stylists at the appointments - irrelevant
4) It was supposed to be 3 different items from the list - not the pick and mix printed on the leaflet.
5) We were told when booking that our choice was not available in the offer - totally untrue.

Each time we disputed one claim, a different excuse was made.
It was obvious that having charged the wrong amount the manager was not going to budge and refused to honour the Offer! After much arguing and intervention from reception the manager reluctantly gave a 10% discount on the bill.
The policy seemed to be to make any excuse to avoid dropping the price. Just because we are all aged and can book an expensive holiday, it doesn’t follow that we can be ripped off.
Not the standard provided by Saga which cares for its customers. I suspect that this is a franchised business on the ship.

Rhine cruise on the Spirit of Moselle boat.
Great to be chauffeured door to door from home.
Lovely boat and good quality food for every meal that didn’t disappoint.
Staff and boat crew very friendly.
Only negatives were a couple of the organised tours could have had more thorough explanations. The wine tasting in Koblenz was in a very cold cellar so warm clothing was needed but not advised so we and others had to cut it short which curtailed our enjoyment.
Would definitely consider Saga again in the future.

Having reluctantly had to cancel a booked cruise, SAGA agreed to transfer my deposit to a SAGA holiday. The whole process was painless! Special thank you to Stephen and Claire from the Cruise department who initiated and closed the process and to Chandan from Holidays who patiently explained the process and set up the holiday. All three were very positive, helpful and a pleasure to deal with.

Very helpful and informative agent who explained everything in detail. I was speaking to her for just under an hour and she was very patient and did not rush anything. Made the booking process easy.

Our Tour Leader Bobby & the Staff on board Mj Amorena. Nothing was too much trouble, we were kept well informed about life aboard ship, the fabulous excursions, the excellent food, the wonderful camaraderie on board & as we toured the charming towns & villages. The natural wonders of Plitvice National Park & being collected from our home & returned safely by your kind drivers Gary & Michael. Will be using your Saga holidays in the future. Thank you one & all for such a happy & fun holiday!

Booking a guided holiday to Japan started well.
