Sophie, who booked me onto this holiday was very helpful and friendly and gave me the service I would expect from Saga. Unfortunately I can't say the same for Trevor who went through the Insurance with me. Not only was he not very friendly but as soon as I said I was receiving a very low dose of medication for VERY MILD depression he was like a dog with a bone and kept asking me the same questions about it over and over again. I know he had to ask me if I'd ever been admitted to hospital for it (No) or been to a psychiatrist (no) but there was absolutely no empathy there at all. He didn't once say something like "Sorry for all these questions" but, as I say, kept going on and on and even though I said it was very MILD depression he didn't seem to hear that. If I wasn't such a resilient person I would have been left feeling very stigmatised but as I know lots of people suffer from some level of depression, I don't. He either needs further training or to be "let go" so he can't inflict his unsympathetic attitude on others. If I was marking each separately, it would be 5 stars for Sophie and none for Trevor. Very disappointing and not what I would expect from Saga.

The pre-visit information was good although perhaps a little too much, a bit repetitive and some unnecessary information on Malta. The chauffeur was excellent and the time change was well received. The flight was good and we were well received at Luxor airport. The Sonesta hotel staff were very friendly and helpful and the cabins in MS Livingstone were excellent except for the bathroom floorboards which were very creaky and annoying.

Website not working so not able to book extra leg room. EasyJet not a great airline to choose they ran out of food and drink on the way home.
First hotel was good but restricted to two glasses of wine at meal times only. The rest had to be paid for.
Rather regimented for a holiday without flexibility.
Boat on the Nile was not 5* or anywhere near. The party before us and our party had several of us who experienced diarrhoea stopping some of the visits for us as toilet facilities were few and basic.
Bar on deck was always late to open but closed bang on time.
Sunbeds very tatty and meant you experienced pain from the metal bars. Didn’t know we would be sharing the boat with another group. In the way back unable to use the pool due to several children coming on board and playing in the already small pool, no go area. Not a child dissliker but not when I am expecting adults only in a very small area.
Food was tasty and room with upgrade at booking was lovely and looked after well. Cleaners bucket water was always dirty so not surprised there were upset tummies.
Tipping is a must or they just don’t help.
Women are rarely seen and as visitors faced an atmosphere of distain. The Saga guide and Egyptian expert were really good. Boat staff mostly too but some did find hospitality.
I’m told by everyone in our group this was not a good example of a Saga holiday so will try Saga again and keep my fingers crossed, for this reason only.

From arrival to departure we were very well looked after, our hosts Ayman and Ahmed did an excellent job keeping us organised keeping us informed and keeping us entertained. The schedule was very full but with well timed breaks at the appropriate time to keep us rested and focussed. The magic of the Nile was truly magical, we had a great time.

Michaela was very pleasant and extremely helpful in finding me the holiday I was interested in. She sorted out everything for me. She was easy to discuss the details with and it was so nice to speak to her.

Fantastic tour of Egypt. The guide Ayman and the Egyptologist Ahmed were extremely helpful and informative. The food was delicious and the hotel and boat were also great: very comfortable and enjoyable. Fully recommend this trip!

Having taken great care to explain to Saga Holidays our needs of special assistance for my wife’s mobility scooter at the airports & onward travel needs, we were very very disappointed to find that our special needs were ignored at each of our FOUR airport visits together with no adaptive vehicles for our onward hotel travel, after paying for the holiday we were then requested to pay an additional charge of £380 for adaptived private transport to the hotel

Ayman our tour manager was exceptional and personally helped me up and down the steps. I can’t praise him enough. Armed the Egyptologist was very enthusiastic and brought the whole of ancient Egypt to life with great clarity. Best wishes to them both Ken xx

What an amazing experience- the Nile, its history and Egypt’s plans for the future, brought vividly into perspective by our tour guide and egyptologist. Stored memories to be brought alive for the darkest of days.

Just come back from a river cruise tour Valley of the King's and everything went very well
Our tour guide Ayman was first class and catered for our every need
Tours were excellent and well organised, nothing to actually do other than enjoy the holiday and take in the views and luxury of our cruise ship
Would recommend this holiday if you want to see Egypt and it's history

My saga with Saga began in February 2025. The calendar doesn't go back that far, so I've ticked the earliest date I could. I've had such a disappointing and frustrating experience with Saga from start to finish. I booked a land/cruise to South America in Feb 2025 for March 2026, which should have been a fabulous holiday, but instead became one massive unfortunate series of events. I had so much misinformation from them prior to departure and late documentation that I put in an official complaint before I had even left! I eventually received a call from a Customer Services/Complaints Manager at 20:15 on a Sunday evening, the evening before I was due to go on my holiday. I had been promised a call on 2 prior occasions, which failed to materialise. I was promised an investigation and on my return from holiday I emailed to receive some feedback and was advised that Saga would respond within the 28 days stipulated by ABTA! The holiday itself, would have been fabulous, had it not been for Saga booking uncategorised cabin accommodation for the group. I ended up with a disabled cabin with sharp metal grids on the bathroom floor that felt like they were shredding my feet whenever I walked through the door. I was eventually (4 days later) moved to another cabin, which was great - except there I experienced a fly infestation. I was then moved again to a 3rd cabin. To add insult to injury I discovered that some other Saga/Titan customers had bought the same 'Have it All' package for half what it cost me. How does that work? Suffice to say, the amount of time I spent dealing with Customer Services and actually moving from one cabin to another was both stressful and time consuming. So, when I consider the cost of the holiday (just under £10K) and think about all the misinformation and inconvenience I have endured, I can not recommend Saga/Titan at all, to anyone. And I am still waiting for Saga's response to my pre-departure issues .... Something has gone very wrong with this company.

I telephoned Saga to enquire about the Sicily - Jewel of the Mediterranean tour. Lisa was brilliant! Helpful, knowledgeable, friendly and able to answer all my questions. My husband and I are now booked onto the tour and very much looking forward to our first foreign holiday in seven years!

Just booked a tour of India by telephone with a very pleasant, knowledgeable and person named Melanie.
Everything went smoothly and efficiently. Speaking to a person instead of trying to do it on-line was less stressful for me.

Everything was beyond expectations but enjoyment was enhanced by efficiency of Tour Management by Sarah Dunn & her exceptional use and coaching of Whatsapp to keep everybody well informed. Absolutely great!
