I decided to change from Octopus to Home Energy as their quote was cheaper. I received my welcome pack 4th August which agreed with the quote. The changeover occured 10th August. I checked the tarif... See more

I emailed about a query I had regarding a credit refund that I was expecting which was not as much as had been previously informed.
Rachael resolved my issue very promptly and professionally.
Rachael was a pleasure to deal with and an excellent representative for your company.
Well done- excellent customer service
Dawn was top-notch in dealing with my problem. Thanks Dawn.
Switched to Home Energy and have been delighted by their customer service. Easy to communicate with, quick to acknowledge communications and provide responses. During a smart meter upgrade process, a reading was incorrectly registered which was rectified very quickly and a new statement issued. Excellent communication all co-ordinated by Rachael on email.
5 star for Rachel. She has the knowledge and very efficient.
From March '26 Billing statements stalled after a new smart meter was installed. (engineer did check HE could read it). Switched provider on 22/4. It took a long time to get missing statements, including the fnal bill. On 9/6 Rachael took over my enquiries & e-mails, keeping me totally updated & facilitating progress to the final rebilling on 17/6, providing payment details & reference. So grateful to her for bringing matters to a satisfactory conclusion. (Only wish she had happened to come on board much, much earlier in my correspondence journey)
Quick response and constructive recommendation. My issue was expertly resolved.
When with them I found them polite..
When left oweing me money, different story..
If my experience is anything to go by, dont expect ur money back in a hurry..
What should have been a easy transfer to another company was far from it.. 9 weeks and that was only cause I mentioned Ofgem.. very very poor.. they dont like parting with your money
So, after only being with this company for 6 months, I previously called them to inform them I would be in financial difficulty for the next few months and asked them to help me until I am back on my feet. Instead of helping me, they put in debt of over £130, blamed me, kept saying they had offered help (after they put me in the debt instead of before like I asked), then they were shocked when I immediately changed to a different company. They asked me why and I said its because they've already put me in debt instead of helping me and I don't trust they wont put me in even more debt. I asked why the bill was so high and they said its because my previous amount didn't cover my bill. They never mentioned this before. This company has been none stop hassle and stress, they are appealing and I will never use them again. I've had energy companies for 20 years and have never been treated like this. I'm lost for words (and could only write sarcasm) at how awful this company is. I'm just glad you can leave at any time and I didn't have to sign a 1 year contract. I dread to think how much in debt they would get me by then.
My advise to all their customers is change supplier before home energy do this to you as well.

Home Energy is definitely the best energy company I've been with over the last couple of decades - and that's quite a few now. I've reluctantly moved away simply because they don't appear to offer a fixed deal, which I thought might be wise in these times. There was a hiccup in moving across (the new company's fault, I think), but a special thank you to *Tristan*, who was very helpful in resolving it.
Only been with Home Energy for a month but everything has been great so far. Prices are the cheapest around and the customer support is great. Just spoke to Rachel via online chat with a query about my first bill, got through in seconds and all resolved within 2 minutes.
The company has always helped with any problems or queries I've had. The agents have been exemplary in helping. I wish I had changed to this company sooner. Based on my experience I would recommend Home Energy
They are absolutely terrible, avoid! I switched to them for just a month and had such a bad experience that I switched away again. One of their advisors couldn't answer basic
questions and caused more confusion. They also don't cancel direct debit after you've paid final bill which I've never experienced from an energy company before, I had to cancel manually and they continued taking payments a month after, such inefficient practices! Will never go back to them
Update: their reply is not accurate. Let me be clear: Home energy had definitely confirmed to me that my account has been fully closed and the final balance has been reconciled, but they continued to take direct debits so their reply doesn't address that issue, in fact they state it's industry practice to NOT do this so they're proving my point!

Had lots of questions about my new smart meter and Rachel the Home Energy agent answered them quickly and clearly. I really feel I made the best choice moving over to Home energy. I would even applaud the engineer that made the meter switch as he was amazingly helpful organising my electrics and fitting all the new components in on my board. First Class service from Home Energy. Thank You
Customer service is not so good...certainly not on the 'Octopus' standard! I enrolled both my mother's and my own account so still on the transfer stage and already I can see this is going to be a problem baby!! The rates shown on the website are current rates (June 2026 this was not clear on the page) I requested a transfer date into July but the quote was still based on current rates. I called and spoke to customer service the following day and the July rates was given to me over the phone and I asked for these new rates to be confirmed by email. The agent promised this but 24hrs later no email and the request to add my details to my mum's account so I can manage my mum's account. Had to ring again and request for the same info and this time I the details came through. I said I wanted to file a complaint so that lessons can be learned...that's when the conversation turned sour.....the agent today did not want a complaint to be registered against his colleague! I whole conversation was recorded according to the agent I spoke today. So Home Energy listen to the recording and make a improvement otherwise Home Energy will not be here this time next year. I'm only transferring because the unit price is cheaper otherwise I would have stayed with Octopus.

Rachael was very helpful helping me find my tariff details
I'll begin with the only positive comments I can make: their gas and electricity prices are cheap and the initial switch to them was simple and smooth.
Unfortunately the remainder of my experience with them was poor. Ongoing issues with my electriciy smart meter which in my view took far too long and far too many phone calls/emails to them to address. In fact I decided to leave them so it was never resolved. Switching from them to another supplier and trying (unsuccessfully for months) to get my account fully closed has been a nightmare. Again more emails/phone calls to their customer service. It took ages for them to produce a final bill which I paid promptly and in full via their app, bills which were confused and confusing, and even an attempt to continue taking the monthly direct debit amount after I had left with the zero balance owing. Thankfully I had cancelled the DD.
I have found their administration truly awful and my advice would be to avoid!

Very quick and efficient to resolve a query
Had a survey done by Phillip and Craig both were super helpful and easily worked out the issue of the damp in my flat! Would 100% recommend these guys!
I switched to HE at the end of January 2026.Everything went smoothly .I give meter readings every month and my direct debit is not leaving me loads of credit.Bills come on time through their excellent website.Have phoned them a few times and get through straight away. And customer service are very helpful And since i have been with them their prices our the cheapest.Tough times coming in July but hoping HE prices will continue to track well below the price cap.
Excellent resolution of a slightly worrying billing situation (apparently caused by my previous supplier rather than by Home) quickly and efficiently sorted by Rachael. Very happy with my experience.
