Quit after a month. Constant harassment to take Smart meter. Even get automated calls where you can't even tell them where to go! A month after leaving still getting them.

Had a tiny issue with my surname showing misspelled on joining from another supplier, typical typo spelling issue., I emailed and within minutes Rachael contacted me back to confirm it had been corrected.
If this is the Customer service I’m to receive going forward I’ll be very happy indeed.
Thank you Rachael & Home Energy
I've been very please with Home Energy
They've answered my queries promptly and resolved an issue when required without any fuss.
I switched from Octopus energy as didnt have a good experience with them even though they claim to have the best customer service, decided to try Home Energy out as I head they are cheaper. So far so good, will edit my review if things change. Good service from Mahiza to get my concerns addressed.
Mahzia was really efficient, helpful and professional helping with my queries x
This company has no respect for their customers. I had a smart gas meter installed right before switching to Home Energy due to a gas leak. This was in November, and Home Energy still have not managed to register the meter onto my account (we are now in April). I have exchanged 29 emails with Home Energy on the topic - a regular occurrence is that customer service will say "I have now passed this onto another team, they will reach out to you". Then, when the other team inevitably doesn't reach out to me, its left to me to chase 2 weeks later. Its truly disgusting treatment. The agents probably think they're doing a great job playing pass the parcel - the customer suffers. I've been asked to give about 10 photos of my new meter. One of their engineers even visited to link my smart gas meter to their system. Still nothing has worked, and they never bother to inform me, its up to me to chase. I even submitted an official complaint several weeks ago which they're ignoring. On the 8 week mark I will escalate to the Ombudsman. How these people can look themselves in the mirror and think they're serving their customers effectively is beyond me. Without customers, you wouldn't have a business, nor a job. Sort it out and have some respect. I'm disgusted.
UPDATE: More lies in the response from Home Energy- they simply haven't bothered to request more information from me on the case. These people are shameful.

Mahee has been absolutely fantastic during a difficult time for me, they have shown compassion and dealt with the problem with ease. Mahee really put my mind at ease. Thank you so much!
Been with HE for just over 2 months as a dual fuel customer. So far my experience of their customer services whom I've now contacted 4 times is appalling. They basically make it up as they go along. First call was related to receiving a gas bill after a month but no electricity bill. Was fobbed off told it should be generated within the next 7 days, that never happened. Then in March I received an email advising the gas charges (daily & Unit rate) would be changing from 1st April but no mention of Electricity changing, so I called them and was told the electricity price was not changing. No surprise then on 1st April the Electricity prices did change, both standing charge and unit rate increased. So another call to CS, nice lady apologised and because they had not given me notice she agreed the price rise would not take effect until 1st May (I've yet to see if this is true!). I also raised the issue with regards to still not having an electricity bill and was informed one would be generated overnight. This didn't happen (shock!) so today I've followed up with them on chat and was informed by Sei that they can't see the meter serial number on their system so my previous supplier may not have transferred it over. I challenged this as the HE app shows the Electric Meter Serial number and also the opening reading, so someone must have put it there. Sei could not give me an explanation and asked me to send a picture of my meter basically to tell him exactly what his app is say. At this point I asked for a manager or supervisor to contact me as this is just becoming exhausting going round in circles. His response 3-5 working days for a manager/supervisor to call me back. That has pretty much left me speechless. Absolutely would not recommend this company to anyone. Great if everything is fine and you have no issues but be prepared to be fobbed off time after time if you do.
UPDATE 13th May
So as per response from HE, I provided my account details 2 weeks ago and as yet have heard nothing back. The situation has actually got worse as they are now not even generating the monthly gas bills/statements. So although their response to my review was very apologetic its quite meaningless as I'm still experiencing the poor customer service.

Very impressed with this company. Customer Service to my mind is so important and so far home Energy has been outstanding. Any problems/queries are addressed quickly, competently and politely. Special thanks to Customer Support member Sei
who was super helpful today.. thank you so much.
I switched to Home Energy through the MSE Energy Club recommendation, and have been really pleased with the service. I did have a query when setting up my account but it was swiftly sorted with a promptly answered phone call. I am on their variable tariff and don't have a smart meter, I don't find it any problem to take meter readings monthly.
You don't have to worry about fixing your energy because these have got your back. If they have to put up the price, its only by a bit and then (if they can) put it down again (how many others would do that).

Team Home Energy, was great at explaining my meter reading figures and direct debit situation. A credit to Home Energy :)
After scraping through all of the Ofgem's list of supplies, I have settled on using Home Energy (wouldn't have found out about them otherwise; I don't see many adverts from them). The rate was the best for my supposed energy use.
After some minor confusions about the submitted meter reading and about the direct debit amount, one of the customer representatives has taken the initiative to turn the text conversation into a phone call, which really helps clear up the confusion. I will use their services again in the next property if possible!
Extra thanks to the customer rep Sei! Thanks for the friendly chat!
Had a fast and efficient response to my query from Aysha on this occasion. Great customer service throughout the time I’ve been with them.
Awful.
Yes, they are competitively priced but they are just awful. Failed to take the direct debit after 3 times of giving them my details and then hounded for payment. Then cancelled the direct debit and made a new one at a price we didn't agree - did this 3 times in one month! Then changed their banking provider and redid all the direct debit mandates and again managed to mess it up and are now claiming they have returned the money to me and I need to make a manual payment yet the direct debit is showing as complete on my end and the money is not in my account.
Customer service are so dismissive, insist the errors are all mine despite them being the ones that set up and manage the direct debits. Constant hounding for payments that they have already taken and then refusal to accept that the money has been taken my end. Cannot wait to move away from as soon as the most recent error is resolved.

It's a small energy company compared to the big shots but they have good customer service. The only reason I am leaving is because of the present climate, with bills predicted to soar in July, and I needed to have a fixed energy deal. I would certainly recommend them as a provider to anyone. They have the best prices at the moment which has been a bonus up until now.
Home Energy have been a fabulous company and I have loved being a customer of theirs. They have been very fair with their pricing and the customer service is second to none. When I have called them, the phone has been answered straight away by a helpful person. None of the waiting 20 minutes!! I am truly very sad to have to leave them. The reason I have to leave is to fix a tariff at this very uncertain time. I stayed with them as long as I could, but with prices expected to rise by 14% in July I have no choice but to get a fix at an extra cost per year with another company. Their variable pricing has always been lower than the price cap. Home Energy please offer a fixed tariff as I would love to come back.
