We are Homemade Homes the experienced property sales team within Accent Housing. Homemade Homes by Accent is a brand name for the sale of homes owned by Accent Housing Limited and Accent Homemade Limited.
We specialise in Shared Ownership, another way to buy your home. You buy a percentage and pay rent on the rest. We own just part of it – but you’re living there, you decorate it and decide when to sell.
Buying a percentage means a smaller deposit and a smaller mortgage. It’s a sooner first step on the ladder for lots of people. Usually, you can carry on buying further shares to own it 100%.
Buying a share means you need a lower mortgage and deposit than purchasing a property outright. This makes it a cost-effective way to own your own home and ideal for first-time buyers. Shared Ownership usually works out less per month than renting privately.
We want to be ‘with you for your journey’, whether that is helping you to take the first step onto the housing ladder or helping you search for a new home, we will be right there with you.
We have Shared Ownership homes across the country, from Surrey to Yorkshire and have helped hundreds of people fulfil their home ownership ambitions. We offer new and resale Shared Ownership homes as well as helping our current customers buy more of their home or sell it when they want to move on.

As we cannot compute, Josh arranged to meet us and he sorted it all out with us. He was very good, very very good and so nice.
Now we have a problem, our solicitor keeps saying that she does not have all the paperwork to complete the sale. She has sent many emails but to no avail. Also we were given a deadline date of Oct 17th. Because of lack of paperwork sent our solicitor, we now have a deadline of Oct 31st. As it is the 3rd of Oct today will therebe enough time to do everything?
So Accent was fantastic in every way, we are now worrying about our new deadline.

We are thrilled with our new home! After a long wait for the plot we wanted to be available, it was a quick process thanks to Ash and Lucy. Ash has been helping us since the start and was always happy to talk to us and answer any questions we had. Lucy was there following plot reservation and was superb in making sure everything was completed on time, with quick responses and an amazing helping hand. It has been a pleasure to work with both of them and we are very thankful to now be in our lovely new home!

The service was good, I didn't put my house on the market in the end, nothing to do with the lack of service and advice. Josh and Charlotte were both knowledgeable and helped me in a lot of ways.

The updates were great
The updates were great. The only bad thing I would say is that rather than a bun fight with other potential buyers going off to all get financially agreed etc, it would work much better if they worked down from the list & give the chance to whoever was first on the list & then move down should they not get approved etc.
