Felt like was being baited to pay a monthly subscription. Got a message shortly after joining. Had to pay to read the message not just to answer. Seemed fake, as if after I pay to join the person no longer answers. Probably a bot from the website to get you to subscribe. Who pays a monthly subscription to look for a cleaning lady?

Pointless - pay first even if you don't use the service
It is disingenuous when you lure customers in, they spend time filling in an advert and creating a profile to realize that they cannot view the messages, you must pay first. No where on this journey does it mention you must pay first. Also does not make any sense, what if you don't find anyone on the site and you've paid 40 CHF just to send and receive messages? A proper business would think of the user journey and find alternative ways of making money. This is not how you do business, have a look at other models / companies maybe you'll have more luck! A piece of free advice would be.. listen to your customer reviews and act on it.

1. Our conditions are linked from every page. But we take your feedback serious and try to make it even more visible.
2. You question our business model. As you mentioned our business model is a one time fee of 40 CHF. That's all we charge. There is no subscription trap. What do you get for it?
1. We guarantee you, that you find a highly qualified housekeeper for ca. 30 CHF per hour including all insurances. If not, you get your money back, no questions asked.
2. You can decide by yourself who comes to your house based on detailed profiles including photos, references, ratings and personal applications.
3. The complete hourly rate goes to the house keeper. We don't participate in it.
What is the alternative to our business model? You go to an agency.
1. You pay about 35 CHF per hour with an agency.
2. You don't know who comes to your house.
3. The agency cuts a big part of every worked hour. The housekeeper usually gets the minimum wage around 25 CHF.
Both are valid business models. If you are looking for the most convenient way to hire a housekeeper and you don't care what it cost per hour, who comes to your house and what the housekeeper earns, the agency is the best option for you. In any other case Homeservice24 is a good choice.
We would be happy if you would give Homeservice24 at least a try and not only complain hypothetically about it. You won't be disappointed as hundred thousands of our users in 4 different countries that we have served for more than 10 years.

Bad experience
You can post your job offer, and you get many reply very quickly. However you cannot read any message and reply them unless you pay the website money. This is really bad experience! Really waste me a lot of time. The website should mention that users should pay to read and reply messages in advance, otherwise it looks like a hook...

We are happy that you got many applications so quickly. So you got the evidence that our service is working. We charge a small membership fee to unlock the contacting of our cleaners. This fee ensures the integrity of your job offer and it helps us to finance our service. Our membership fee would have given you access to our high quality database of cleaners. As you make the contract directly with the cleaner the hourly rates are much more affordable than with an agency. Usually you save thousands of CHF every year in comparison to an agency.
Questionable
I've become a member, made a profile and request for services. Apparently I received a response from someone to my request but in order to go forward I'm required to make a payment to Homeservice24. I don't know what the other party will propose and I don't feel it's appropriate to make a payment for this service yet before I know if it's what I need.

We believe that our customers want to know first, if there are relevant services in the neighbourhood or not. That's why everyone can sign up for free, post a job offer and browse through the profiles. If you're not happy what you see, there's no need to pay.
But it is also clear that our service can't be free, please consider this:
1. It's a one time fee and in our opinion fair prices. That fee includes the right to contact everyone on the platform, not just someone.
2. There is no agency charging you several francs on top of the service per hour.
3. There is a money back guarantee .
