Nathan the parts Manager at Skoda Lincoln leant me a locking wheel nut key so I could get a flat tyre fixed after mine was lost. Amazing, thanks Nathan
It was easy to book a service by phone and even better it could be a Saturday. My usual dealership has now closed so finding a dealership which offers Saturday servicing is hard. I do have some closer dealerships which I will not use due to a not so nice visit and purchase in the past. It took me 40 minutes to drive to Hortons. The staff were all very friendly and there was a lovely waiting area with a tea and coffee station. I also spoke to Luke ( I think that was his name) about the new Epiq which is due out and asked him to keep me updated. The service was finished as scheduled and my car had been washed and vacuumed. I would definitely use them again as the atmosphere was very pleasant.
I was out of the catchment for my car to be picked up.

Hortons are a family company who seem to have family values and the whole experience of buying and then servicing my Skoda Superb was faultless. Every member of the team was helpful and attentive. Nothing is ever too much trouble. No hard sell. No pushing the usual add ons. Really pleased with this company and thoroughly recommend them.

We first bought an new Enyaq through this dealer, and started having issues fairly quickly afterwards with the 12v battery discharging quickly and with no warning. Online forums showed this is a common issue, basically the battery can't cope with the demands on it, especially if mileage is relatively low. On at least 5 occasions (3 times in 2 weeks at one point) we had to call Skoda Assistance but the service staff at the dealer couldn't seem to solve the issue permanently. Eventually we lost faith in the car due to its unreliability. In addition the dealer's service staff gave us different reasons each time for the issue, which meant we couldn't trust what they said. Because of these things as well as other reasons, we part exchanged the Enyaq for a new Elroq in early 2026.
4 months after taking the car and with just over 2k mileage, we had error messages appearing for the Lane Assist and sign reading facilities and the car wouldn't charge on public charging stations. I took the car to the dealer who confirmed a software error and suggested a work-around to charge it, but that didn't work in practice on public chargers. I went back to Hortons, and was told they can't book the car in for nearly 5 weeks, and asked me to go home and ring Skoda Assistance. As I was at the dealers I wanted to ring Skoda Assistance while I was there, but was told I couldn't do that because that wasn't the protocol. So I went home and rang Skoda Assistance. They told me they can't come out if the car is working, and the dealer should have known this, so they emailed the dealer asking them to give us a loan car. I returned to the dealer for the 3rd time that day, and by pure coincidence the dealership's Head of Customer Experience overheard the conversation and intervened, and from that point on my experience was significantly improved and a loan car was found.
It may be that EVs have aftersale issues which need to be better addressed by manufacturers. And that dealership service staff may not yet have had the training and/or built up the experience on fairly new technology so they can address EV specific issues for customers. However, this dealership needs to address; how they respond better so customers don't have repeat issues needing frequent Skoda Assistance support; ensure messaging on causes/reasons are consistent and believable; make sure advice on when customers need to call Skoda Assistance is not used in situations where it doesn't apply; if an issue such as a car not charging (and therefore the car is not driveable after the battery is exhausted) can't be resolved promptly, the dealership can provide a loan car. Rightly or wrongly, it appeared to me that unless Skoda Assistance tells the dealership to offer a loan car, they won't, which is certainly not a good impression to give customers.
On the plus side, the dealership's Head of Customer Experience demonstrated what great customer service looks like, and I was very grateful for her intervention. I hope her influence can help improve experience across customer-facing areas of the dealership.

Always quality provided.
Even managed to know some money off what was quoted.
Always feels like it's about the quality and the people not the money.
