They didn't tell the hotel that they "paid" for the room so then they charged me (for hotel savings) and my fiancé on his credit card at the hotel. His was cheaper than mine, might I add and now they... See more

BEWARE!!! Over charged $35 over the agreed room rate that I booked online
Contacted American Express to dispute a charge on my credit card by hotel savings.com. I have an email to verify the room rate and then noticed that hotelsavings.com alsocharged $35 over the agreed room fee. Called to resolve and they claimed that everyone who books online has to pay a fee of $9.95, luckliy Am Ex refunded that amount. they are reveiwing the room charge. I have an email stating the room rate and they have clearly not honored the rate. I will never use them again.
BEWARE OF HIDDEN FEES AND EXTRA CHARGES
I booked 4 nights with Hotelsavings.com at a 5 star Florida hotel. They "claimed" the room rate was $183/night --- however, their "tax & service charges" were another 39% AND after questioning them, they said it was the hotel tax. Called the hotel, and they said their tax rate is 12% + a resort fee of $22/night -- they said any other charges were from HS.com. I called HS.com back and questioned this and they said that not only was the resort fee NOT included in their charge, but that the 39% was all the hotel's tax rate. I told the guy no STATE has a 39% tax rate, and that the hotel confirmed their tax rate was 12% - HS.com could not explain and continued to "blame" to hotel. THIS COMPANY IS A DISHONEST SHAM
WARNING! BEWARE! RIP-OFF
On August 1st. 2012 I booked a room for one night stay at Edgewater Inn, Coos Bay, Oregon. My credit card was immediately charged the $50 more than the actual hotel rate for the services not yet rendered. Typically, these charges would be considered "pending". But no, not with this third party. Plus, there is a 100% penalty fee for cancellation of the booking. When I called them for a refund they basically told me "too bad, so sad".
This would be equivalent to making a reservation for dinner for next week and having immediately pay for a dinner that you have not even eaten yet. Just doesn't make sense.
Shame on you hotelsavings.com and your parent company of Travelocity
Happy with my hotel.
Booked a 4 night hotel stay last month and just got back from the trip. It was up to my expectations. comfy clean rooms, had to request robes as they do not put one in the room by default, although they are free. If you have good deals for spring break in florida, I will book with you again. good website. thanks.
