Good service from start to finish
Good service from start to finish. Delivery was exactly when we ask for our worktops to come, with information during the day, letting us know time of expected arrival
Perfect delivery
The ordering experience was very easy, and the communication about our order was the best I've ever received. The delivery and tracking information on the delivery day was absolutely perfect. Thank you.
Good experience…
Really good tracking of delivery as I had to arrange for my builder and mate to help manuever the worktops up the 22 steps to the front door! Builder also winged about the quality of the white veneer when cutting it but did a good job with it in the end. It was always a 'cheap and cheerful' reno prior to probable relocation.

Great product and pricing.
Service was quick and after sales team helpful
Product 8 customer service 2
First the positives - the compact laminate I ordered seems good quality, and the samples were shipped promptly and not just random offcuts.
Price comparison with competitors is favourable, but it is shame the most "cost effective" way to put my order together was to order far more than i needed with significant waste which is hard to justify and far from environmentally friendly?
On a less positive note, i ordered at the beginning of december and requested delivery 29/12 because i had time off work to install them. I was notified by email of a scheduled "next day" delivery a week before christmas disregarding my chosen date (why ask me to pick a date?) . Bearing in mind taking short notice time off is problematical for most working people in a peak leave period it is not great customer service. I managed to make contacted them explaining that a) I requested a date to suit my schedule a month in advance b) i would not be available to receive a delivery and c) i had nowhere to store 9 metres of worktop properly for 2 weeks i was tersely informed "we are shut until 2026" and "they will leave the order outside". Why not tell me this when i ordered? Clearly my personal opinion is just that.. "personal" but would sane rational people think it is "reasonable" to leave a £1000+ order on the street, unchecked, unsecured and unsigned for, open to the elements and at risk of damage or theft?
I explained that i was working away from home so could not accept the next day delivery. There was no apology and zero evidence of any customer service. I was dismissed with "well it wont be delivered until new year" as if this is somehow an issue of my own making?
I asked for confirmation of the 2026 delivery date but was informed it couldnt be arranged.
Logic dictates that if all 2025 orders are expedited pre 20/12/2025 my delayed order "should" be the first one on the wagon in 2026, so why i couldnt be advised of delivery escapes me?
In the new year I was finally given a delivery date 2nd week of January. Delivery was perfectly "ok" but in no way matches other reviewers experiences? I dont think the delivery guy uttered a sound other than grunting "delivery" at me when i opened the door? While im impressed his gym time has been well spent, and his ability to shoulder and manhandle my 3 worktops and offcuts single handedly are admirable, is it still the promised "2 man delivery" if his mate sits in the van? I didnt get to check off the multiple pieces delivered but they were neatly stacked in the living room as requested.
My order consisted if 3 x 3m lengths cut to size, 2 butt joints, hob and sink cut outs and a tap hole. As i have never worked with compact laminate and 3m lengths would be challenging to manage on a portable table saw for sizing I had little option but to pay for this to be done. I sent a specific enquiry whether i needed biscuits only or inset pull bolts also for jointing as this isnt specified on the website. The reply was that biscuits only is sufficient. I find this odd when the additional cost "compact laminate joining kit" includes low profile pull bolts? Still i was happy enough not to be adding nearly £65 to the escalating price of my order.
The cut outs and sizing is quite frankly taking the mickey. Yes CNC machinery is a significant investment but one justified by the quantity of cuts a worktop supplier is likely to make. Machining added around 50% to my order. for the money i could have bought a jig, router, track saw and biscuit jointer, binned them after use and still been less out of pocket? - hardly a "value added" for an end user like me?
As i missed my window of time off to install my worktops yesterday was the big day until i realised there were no jointing biscuits provided. Not a problem, i would go to a local store and buy a bag. I measured the holes in the the worktop only to find they dont match any of the "standard" sizes available online or at suppliers like toolstation. I used the "expert" chat link to ask what settings were used and got a run down of how to joint compact laminate and the tools to use. so i said i "paid" for jointing and perhaps wrongly thought the biscuits would be supplied. First i was asked for my order number then i was sent a link to the aforementioned jointing kit and told "order this" . I asked why i would order 2 £32 kits i dont need/cant use just for 6 biscuits to be told take it up with customer service. Cheers! By the way my worktops are cut for dominos and not the leaf type shown in the kit. Product OK. Customer skills 2/10. Reccomendable? No.

I love the Beige Gold compact
I love the Beige Gold compact. Unfortunately no-one asked me whether I wanted the offcuts and we missed a small area. Ellie really helped, she went above and beyond however the courier company they chose still haven't delivered the items required\requested since Thursday. I understood I would receive the additional items immediately as did House of Worktops as an email was sent asking for my feedback. DX probably do not operate over weekends or Bank Holidays and the nearest date DX offered me is Wednesday, 6 May. Hence my 4* review.
