Excellent customer service..
They made buying historic tractor insurance so easy and were very obliging to email me the necessary papers to meet the legal requirements. Really helpful and nice people to deal with. Pleased they have kept high st offices- should I need to visit in person.

I've bought insurances from Howdens Chichester for many years when they were A-Plan. This year my home insurance renewal was nearly double last year's. Paddy at Howdens tried extremely hard to find out why it was so high, especially as I had got a whole list of offers via Confused.com, some a quarter the price.

I elected to go with one and paid my annual policy. But to our horror a week before our current insurance (Integra) expired we had a water leak somewhere between ceiling and roof. As we had home emergency cover we claimed on that but the plumber and roofer who investigated couldn't find the problem. We were told to deal with things ourselves. Which we did. A plumber cut a hole in the ceiling from which water gushed out of a broken joint.

Our new insurer (PolicyExperts) cancelled our cover and Paddy was very helpful offering useful guidance on dealing with insurances and how to get insurance cover to fit our needs.

Completely screwed over by Toyota Insurance - Howden’s to the rescue!

Renewed Camper van insurance with Howdens. Spoke with Kerry from the Witney branch who was most helpful. Arranged everything for us and called us back when requested. Insurance price was similar to last year so very happy with the renewal. Thanks Kerry. Will use Howdens insurance again.

The service was very friendly and efficient. The person who dealt with my car insurance renewal was called Alice, and she could not have been more helpful. The company was still called A-Plan when I last renewed, and I was slightly sceptical about the change in name / ownership. However, I needn't have been, as nothing else seems to have changed. I thoroughly recommend Howdens.

Vicky from Howdens (previously motor direct) was absolutely fantastic. She took the stress and anxiety out of the situation. She kept me informed and connected me to my insurance company as quickly as possible. True to her word she said she would call at a certain time and did so. Her customer service was exemplary and she is a real credit to your company. Warm, friendly, knowledgeable, she made it all so easy. THANK YOU VICKY AND THANK YOU HOWDENS. I've been with A plan now Howdens with my car insurance for 10 years, on the 10th year I had an own fault accident, it took them 4 months to repair my vehicle, they didn't replace all the parts that were broken and then my premium jumped from £500 to £2700! I shopped around and direct line did exactly the same cover for £1400! Howdens also claim to be the only broker to ofer a mediation service between you and your insurer when it comes to repairs, this is untrue because direct line offer this service. 10 years of loyalty to A plan and the year Howdens take over they just can't be bothered!

I don't normally write reviews, but had to in this instance. Fran Lawrence at Howdens just sorted a new policy for me. I am so pleased with her excellent service. Polite, respectful and clear. Fram made to whole experience painless and concise. when the premium was announced I was knocked out ! Much cheaper than the nearest competitor, saving me many £££ this year. Thank you Fran ! I highly recommend Howdens Insurance.

We had some complexities in our insurance request with regards to transference of no claims bonus etc. The agent (Kerry Cornwell) that we dealt with could not have been more accommodating in sourcing a suitable underwriter for our request and made the process almost seamless. The final fee was very affordable given the number of challenges we have heard of others having with motorhome insurance. Very happy customer

Great service as ever....please, do keep up the good work. Wonderful to have someone doing the legwork when it comes to finding the best insurance cover.

Having insured previously with A-plan (now Howdens), the obligatory renewal letter came through, with the usual uplift in premium.

Shopping around reduced the premium by a chunk. However I was happy with the service I received from Howdens so far (although have to stress I have not yet had to make a claim).

I spoke to Shruti K, who worked on my behalf to reduce my premium renewal by almost 13%, and retain me as a customer.
