Not too happy just realised my partners car has not got an MOT luckily he's not been driving it..I thought all cars come with 12 month MOT especially from HPL as we have purchased a few from here ..Wasn't told there was only just over 6 months on it..just like apparently heated seats and wheel which there isn't 🤔 🙄 won't be buying from them again..

We’ve bought 2 cars now from Mark at the Wirral branch and couldn’t be happier with the experience from start to finish! Mark made sure to get me in the car as soon as possible, and fit me in at a later date to sort all the paintwork. You can tell they clearly take pride in the quality of cars they sell which is really refreshing. 10/10 would recommend!!

Bought a second hand vauxhall Corsa from them.The car was in reasonably good condition.The salesman was very helpful and made the buying process quite easy.What let things down were a couple of minor oversights by the people who prepared the car.Each car is supposed to have had a thorough inspection and a service.Having used it for a week I found two serious faults which had to be corrected.The battery was near the end of its life and was not charging correctly,(this was verified by Halfords, who replaced it). The oil sump had been overfilled with the dip stick level showing over an inch above the max level.This has also been rectified because it could cause serious engine failure.Not very good.I will add I have bought four cars off them in the past.I will not be buying another!.

I had to trade in my near perfect GLB for a cheaper car as I was changing jobs, found a car that was ideal, it turned out to be anything but. I think the issue is the rush to sell cars so due diligance isnt done right. The manager at the preston branch I delt with was cold, rude and not helpful. After 8 weeks the finance company agreed with the evidence I had provided for rejection. Thats weeks worth of stress which could have been avoided. Make sure you know what you are buying. Double check every detail you want and do not sign anything til you are happy.

"Disgusting service and zero accountability. HPL Motors completed repair works but failed to carry out the agreed MOT retest, handing my car back illegal to drive. Because of their negligence, I was left paying for a vehicle with invalid insurance and no road tax for three full months (June, July, and August). I lost work days chasing them because their service centre ignored my calls from Thursday through Friday and didn't manage to make contact until Monday. The manager claimed this wasn't negligence and Head Office offered me nothing but a worthless apology. Avoid this garage at all costs—they leave you driving illegally and refuse to compensate for the severe financial and personal impact they have on you and their managers dont know what negligence is.

I bought a car from DIA at HPL Stockport. He was very down to earth but professional and I felt at ease purchasing the car. He dealt with queries straight away and the sale was quick and easy.
The car shown a fault a month later. The fault was a sensor and it was repaired the same day. The customer service and after sales care is excellent.

Be very wary of buying a car from this dealership, they will do anything to sell you a car no matter what is wrong with it, and leaving you to deal with any problems in the future. They nearly sold me a 2024 Renault Megane e Tech , that, after due diligence, I found had missed it's last service by nearly 3 months. This of course negates the car warranty, you are allowed 28 days from first registered date to have a service, so you are buying a vehicle the is not covered by the manufactures warranty, and they were quite willing to do this, it I had not pressed the issue. Don't forget this omission also affects the warranty on all items, vehicle warranty, powertrain, traction battery, paintwork and anti-corrosion . The salesman said they would service the car now and all would be OK, if not I could buy a 3year extended warranty from them at a cost of over £1300 !! Unbelievable, never miss a chance to make money out of a customer under any circumstance Fortunately I walked away.
They have had this car for months and I was curious why it had not sold, now I know the reason. More people are willing to research the car for problems and have also walked away from it. The car is still for sale, so be very careful.
The moral of this tale is be very careful before buying any car from this dealer, do all your research and ask for verification on all issues you encounter. They are not there to help they are there to sell cars no matter what.
