Updated to reject all my ink
They updated my printer to reject 3rd party ink even though I declined to join HP+ because it said I couldn't use third party ink if I did. Over $100 is ink now useless, just threw away two expensive HP printers and my new none HP printer just arrived. Never using HP products again.
Absolute sh!te!
Waste of time and waste of money. The most infuriating useless piece of junk i've ever bought.
Instant Ink Program
Instant Ink Program: canceled subscription which disabled the cartridges with no warning even after paid for them rendering the printer useless until I purchase new ink from somewhere and waste the ink I already bought
HP Envy 6100e series.
HP Envy 6100e series.
Constant loss of connectivity. Multiple attempts to reconnect, printer is not fit for purpose. HP Smart is anything but. Steer clear of HP printers.
Any attempt at refund will be thwarted :"sorry your call is breaking up" ! A heap of hi tech junk.
HP stopped supporting my older printer and my new HP printer is a dog.
I had an older HP printer that worked but they stopped supporting. They recommended it with an HP Envy 6000 that I bought a year ago that they must have known was subpar, based on complaints that I've since seen that precede my purchase. It's already been replaced by a newer model. It regularly disconnects from the internet and is often very difficult to reconnect.
HP printers are a scam
HP printers are a scam. The subscription takes money from my account but I never actually receive my ink deliveries AND somehow they block me from using the printer/the ink is weak after a couple prints anyway. Can’t believe I fell for this, and I’m basically now the owner of an obsolete printer, after finally just ending the subscription and giving up. There’s no customer service support line to call, everything is automated and all the emails come from “donotreply” addresses without any valid contact details included.
I have purchased at least three HP…
I have purchased at least three HP printers in the last few years and they are all garbage. Never connects to the computer, always out of ink even if you only print once in a while, and just troublesome in general. Will never purchase another printer from them again.
HP Envy.
Bought a HP Envy a few years ago and have regretted the purchase ever since, luckily i dont have to print too much.
I thought spending a good chunk of cash on a printer would be a good investment, always need to print out legal documents, CVs and such.
The ink, which last i bought cost £59.99 for black and colour, seems to dry up really fast. If i dont print for a while then go to use it, the print is uneven.
The real crux of headaches however is the farce of having to use their app. Opened up the app and was immediately hit with a subscription.
If i pay good money for an electrical product, then more money on ink, i should be able to print at no extra bloody cost.
Companies like this should pay their customers subscriptions to keep them.
Horrible support system
I have used HP products for many years. Now that my HP Pro Office Het has "expired I am unable to get any help or support. Can't chat with anyone, just some stupid bot!
I'll be buying all new printers from Epson.
Pathetic!
HP all in one subscription for printer and ink
I've had this for a few weeks and it has been a nightmare. The set up was difficult and I am a smart person. The printer keeps disconnecting from the internet even though the app and website show it is online. Troubleshooting requires you to turn off the printer and the router (I work from home, major disruption). Contacting customer service is a joke, I tried to ask for a call back on the website and it said my phone number was not valid. I call the customer service number and can't understand the guy I was working with. I continually had to ask him to repeat himself. He had me restore the printer to factory settings and reinstall. During the times we were waiting for the printer to run through the process, HE WAS SNORING!!!!! I kept saying 'I'm sorry I'm keeping you awake', 'are you there?', etc to communicate with him. He'd wake up occasionally and check in. At the end I couldn't get him to wake up and the snoring was LOUD. Totally unacceptable, I used up several pieces of paper being printed out for the set up that goes against my allotted monthly prints. In the short amount of time I've had this subscription it has been a complete waste of my time and money. Will not renew this subscription or buy anything from HP in the future.
Printer is ok but instant ink!!!
Printer is ok but complete waste of money signing up for instant ink. When cancelled you can't use remaining ink and in theory you have paid for it! No envelope sent to send cartridges back but apparently that's my fault! It will be cheaper for me to replace printer when cartridges get too expensive. Just buy any other make
I have the Smart tank 7005
I have the Smart tank 7005. It is 15 months old, and is therefore out of its 12 month warranty.
It is no longer printing correctly. The reds are orange and the Cyan doesn't print at all. After many hours of trouble shooting I rang customer support. Very polite however, no other advice available other than would I like to purchase another printer? It cost over £220 and lasted just over a year. I expected to have to pay for a repair but to be told they don't even attempt to repair is shocking.
Since I bought this printer, the internet is overrun with complaints about this machine, mostly over this printing issue. Even AI says it is renowned for not printing and the cyan is the most reported issue.
Things go wrong, of course they do, but to have no facility to repair, and I have to just throw this in the bin is not what I expected. Apart from the complete waste of my money, this is an appalling disposable attitude in 2026. This is not a small amount of plastic being thown away.
Do yourself a favour - do not buy this machine.
I shall be steering clear of HP altogether. The online information said customer service was good if you purchased direct. Repairs and discounts on replacements if not repairable. None of this is true. No repairs, and no discounts on replacements. No accountability of any description for the product failing after a few hundred copies. It still has the ink it came with!
Extremely disappointed in HP.
Ink trap
First of all, they wanted to know why I didn’t subscribe to their ink policy
Second, their printer absolutely sucks ass. They don’t connect. They don’t stay connected if they do connect and absolutely not user-friendly.
Waste of money because the system does not work
I have had my HP printer for many months but I have never been able to properly use it. Every time I attempt to use it, it won't print in colour and sometimes won't even print in black and white. I have tried following countless diagnostic solutions online (including those from supposed HP customer service employees) but nothing works. Much of the advice is unhelpful such as "identify any issues with your wifi connection" and "update the hardware" (even though there is no option to do so on the app) or select certain colour options the printer settings (which don't actually exist in the settings). I have cleaned the cartridges manually and via the printer. I have carried out several hard resets. Every time, I hit a brick wall and want to through the device out of the window before I've managed to print anything. The app is very non-user friendly because most of the buttons take you to a generic website rather than giving functional settings/tips within the app which relate to the specific printer connected to the system. I put the printer away for a few more months before I'm brave enough to attempt it again, only to find myself in the same situation with no solution that works. It was a waste of money. I will never buy an HP printer again and I think my only solution is to buy another new printer from a different manufacturer. Stay away from HP.
BUYER BEWARE of HP PRINTERS- The most…
BUYER BEWARE of HP PRINTERS- The most simple task of changing wifi network is made to be nearly impossible on the HP 6055 Printers. When attempting to get any sort of tech help, they push a service plan costing hundreds a year. To simply change wifi networks should be a 1-2 min process. We've had 2 HP printers w/the same issue. DO YOURSELF a favor and get a Canon Printer, or anything other than HP as there is NO product support for your purchase, and their apps. don't work.
HP printers - AVOID AT ALL COST …
total ripoff and designed to be as difficult as possible, spend most time trying to get the printer to connect via bluetooth ... complete waste of time and money not to mention the scam to get more money through forced subscriptions - just awful
Absolute crap
Absolute crap, never ever works spend half hour of stress every time I need to print a single page. Also ink permanently low no matter how many times change the cartridge. Just thrown it away, prob 1 year old.
HP=HORRIBLE PRODUCT
HP should stand for HORRIBLE PRODUCT as far as dealing with their printers and customer service. I haven't had a problem with their computers though. The printers are a piece of crap and their customer service is horrible. HP needs to do better. I've purchased two printers and both do the same thing...... ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. EPSON and CANON is now tops in My household now.
The HP Tango is an awful product after…
The HP Tango is an awful product after owning it for 4 years. The software is prehistoric. The hardware continuously breaks - it seems the cartridges clog up and fail within weeks of being opened. Complete waste of money.
Shockingly awful customer service
Shockingly awful customer service, could not believe what I was witnessing. I had to access help via the HP site as my HP printer was not connecting to my laptop due to a router change. The first adviser Kalpana D, came on chat and tried to advise me, she kept cutting and pasting a list of instructions instead of helping me step by step, she did not have a clue what she doing, after 30 minutes I asked her can someone remote access me or phone me to help solve this, she then gave me an international number, starting with a 1. I asked if it’s an India or American number, she said it’s a UK number. I said no it can’t be it has a 1. Firstly, shouldn’t HP be calling me as a customer rather than me calling THEM? Then she gave me two 020 numbers that didn’t work when I called them. She then told me to try the first one again which obviously wasn’t a proper number. She then sent me a link to the same page I had started on when I chose to get support. I then gave up with her and chose Watsapp support. Someone called Rania opened a chat with me. They were so slow in responding I kept asking if they were there. It was absolutely atrocious the advisors seem to have no knowledge whatsoever. I gave up and said I’ll have to ask for a refund since no one can help me from HP. I then found a HP contact number on google to complain, I phoned it and an AI assistant voice spoke. It asked me about the problem I was having, it took me through the same trouble shooting as the advisers but more precise and step by step and much more helpful, it then came to a conclusion that I could best solve my printer problem if I use a usb cable to connect my printer to my laptop instead of wirelessly as that should work. I then closed the call. So basically the AI was more competent than the two advisers. Absolutely abysmal, shocking customer support. The advisers appear to all be under qualified with no customer service etiquette or basic skills in communication. Shocking. I will never be purchasing a HP product again after this.
