The staff at the Exeter store are so helpful & not pushy, just want to help you as best they can.
Rachel has listened to our needs & kept in touch, as we weren't initially in a position to go ahead, advising us of new products & discounts.
It makes such a pleasant change for true customer service to take the forefront of a retail business.
The excellent customer service is supported by truly quality products.
I have already recommended HSL to colleagues, family & friends.

Today I purchased a recliner chair at the HSL department store in Exeter, Marsh Barton and I was assisted by Linda. I found Linda was very professional, friendly and welcoming. She took time to explain about all the recliner chairs and their features, let me try them and I particularly liked that Linda wasn't a pushy sales person. I therefore felt relaxed and eventually I found a recliner chair that I was so comfortable in, after having previously looked around many mobility furniture shops, selling recliner chairs. Linda kindly offered to make me a cup of tea, whilst we discussed all the features the chair had to offer and she demonstrated how the remote worked and gave me plenty of time to test the remote for myself. There was no pressure put on me to buy the chair, but I knew it was the chair I really wanted after a long search. Linda told me about the company, went through the fabric choices, warranties, payment options etc with me. I felt that the service and experience was very good and I would highly recommend HSL. Everything about this company so far has been friendly efficiency.
When we went to the Exeter store, we were met by Linda who was so helpful, she really knew the products but was not pushy at all. She and Kelly made the whole experience of buying a new settee so easy and painless, unlike other companies I have used in the past.
Just waiting now for our settee to arrive!!

The salesperson we saw, Rachel, was excellent. She knew the products and was able to describe them to us well. She did not pressure us to buying and we felt we were in competent, safe hands throughout our shopping experience.

My husband has been reluctant to admit he may need a chair to help with his disability so we popped into the HSL Exeter showroom with the intention of just looking. However, we were very impressed with their range and Rachel showed him an armchair which proved to be perfect for him in terms of comfort and suiting his needs. After sitting in the chair, which he found unbelievably comfortable, for quite a while and checking out all its features, we decided to place an order. We really appreciated that there was no sales pressure, just helpful guidance, and Rachel answered all our questions in a very relaxed atmosphere. He can't wait to get in his new chair now!

I went to HSL Exeter to buy a Stressless or Hamilton chair. Kelly helped me throughout the process of finding the right chair for me. She explained the options, costing , delivery and more. I finally made my choice and look forward to delivery. Kelly was knowledgeable, professional and personable. Thank you.

A cheerful welcome followed by excellent description on chairs that I would be interested in. Explained was for my husband and his health problems and there was an excellent range of chairs and given details could have with each chair. Would recommend.

Sunday we went to HSL in Exeter looking to buy some new chairs to aid with our day to day living as both my wife and I have issues now we are getting older.
The two ladies in the store, Rachel and Kelly guided us through the various options to suit our needs. They were both informative and patient and in the end we bought two Himolla chairs which suited our ailments perfectly.
We can’t thank the ladies enough as we spent ages coming to a final decision but at no time were we rushed and I’m sure that without their guidance we would have made the wrong choice.

I have to agree with the AI summary provided by Trustpilot. We had a really good experience when we visited the Exeter store recently. We went thinking we knew exactly what we wanted, having no idea how extensive the range was, and that there were in fact products which suited us better. Our posture and comfort were examined on various armchairs and sofas before we made an informed choice. We were looked after by Kelly and Rachel who were charming, patient and informative.

I am a disabled person,the door was held open for me to enter.I was then asked if I would like a hot drink.The lady was called Linda,she showed me several different items and quoted a great price.I was then given all the things that would happen after taking a deposit. Linda & the team ( Kelly & Rachel ) couldn’t have been more helpful, I tried various sofas before making my choice. All the while chatting to Linda in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, I enjoyed the friendly exchange with Linda, she was able to answer my queries and concerns over coffee & biscuits which was a nice touch.All in all I was impressed with the service and happy with my purchase.
I think other companies could take a leaf from the the HSL handbook,customers need to talk to people seeking advise over their purchase.
I would recommend HSL to get interested in buying handmade sofas & chairs.

On arrival at the Exeter store, not sure what type of chair we needed, we were made very welcome by Kelly .She listened to what we thought we required and then showed us a range of options. Clearly very knowledgeable of the chairs we gradually arrived at two options. After trying different sizes we arrived at a solution. Nothing was too much trouble and after a break to consider colours we returned next day to finalise the purchase. The advice and patience was much appreciated. Two happy customers.
