I purchased some Hunter walking boots from Frasers. Luckily got them in a sale but they were still over £100, wore them for one hiking trip for a week, so in total maybe wore them 20 times, the seams... See more

Don’t recommend
Backpack is poor quality. Contacted them 4 days later after my order been placed to find out why my order was not even dispatched. Huge brand with pricy items with rubbish quality and slow mo delivery. Never again!
Awful website. Discount codes don't work properly
Trying to order a pair of Hunter wellington boots. Automatically adds £10 for a spray I don't want but gives 10% discount, so spray is free. Have 10% discount code, so remove spray and add my discount. It won't let me do it. So, in fact, the 10% discount is worthless because it just wants to give you a spray you don't want. The website is awful as you can't see the basket properly. I've emailed the company to see if they can help me. Not holdiing my breath.
Short shelf life, poor customer service.
I have purchased half a dozen Hunter wellies in the past. They are really comfortable and I can’t fault them when they are new. When purchasing my most recent pair, I was encouraged to purchase Hunter Rubber Buffer with the wellies. This helps restore the condition of the rubber etc. Despite really looking after these wellies; following all the boot care guidelines on the Hunter website, they are cracked and split. I only really use them for washing the car etc, not as muddy work boots. These year old wellies are now useless for the intended purpose, keeping my feet dry. When I tried engaging with Hunter, I got a generic, disinterested reply.
Come on Hunter, These are £120 wellies!
£130 boots purchased in January 2025
£130 boots purchased in January 2025, used between 5/10 times with less than an hour's wear each time. Completely falling apart. The quality of these products is nothing short of DISGUSTING for the price. I sought to purchase a decent pair of walking boots that would last me walking the dog in them regularly (haven't had the chance to wear much as the weather hasn't been ideal, so I've been in wellies most of the year so far) as a well known brand offering products that on the pricier side, i assumed thats exactly what i would be getting... and yet they haven't even withstood a handfull of spring walks. I wish I could upload pictures to show the absolutely abhorrent state these boots are in (as well as showing you how untouched the tread is to demonstrate how little they have been worn). Avoid avoid avoid, these are not the company you should be spending your hard earned money with. I bet Temu could sell me a harder wearing boot than this.
Really disappointed with my boots
Really disappointed with my boots. Minimal use over 4 years, now cracked full thickness through the rubber around both ankles. Contacted the company who now owns the Hunter brand and reply was that nothing could be done as the 2yr warranty had expired. I expected better from a top brand having paid much more for them than ordinary wellingtons. I certainly won't be buying another pair.
Absolutely appalling customer service
Absolutely appalling customer service, everyone hides behind an email, no one wants to talk to you. Purchased boots in January 2025. Boots leaked water , I requested replacements, their response
Send them back , have a refund and then buy them again !!!!!
So you buy a pair in the January sale at £69….they are not fit for purpose and then want you to spend more money on replacing them….in which I believe to be against your consumer rights
They then tell you DPD will collect, you spend a day waiting, nothing happens and you spend another day sending emails to them without replies
So as a customer I am now still an owner of faulty HUNTER BOOTS, with no replacements offered….having to spend more money with a company that doesn’t value you as a customer, and no communication coming back from them
Worse company to deal with ever.
AVOID!!
AVOID!!! Did buy my Barmoral boots 3 years ago however have only worn for one winter, that’s just passed. Both boots split across the toes. No support or help via Hunter Boots as apparently they went into liquidation and the new Hunter take no responsibility. An absolute disgrace. Get yourself something more reliable and cheaper.
Atrocious quality
Atrocious quality. My boots have split around the ankles and around the detailing seams. The have been worn for two winters. The soles aren’t even worn in properly. What a WASTE of money and resources. I’m disgusted with these VRRY EXPENSIVE boots.
Avoid at all cost
Awful!
I previously had a pair of Hunters that lasted years and needed replacing. Obviously went for Hunters even though friends said they were no longer the same quality. I wish I had listened to…new Hunter boots lasted less than six months before splitting, customer service wanted the boots returned spotless, which we did. According to them no manufacturing fault so no refund owing. Avoid at all cost, they are sadly not the quality they once were. Sad as once upon a time a premium quality brand, but no longer.
Awful awful awful
Awful awful awful! Purchased some boots last year, they have completely peeled. Dreadful quality and it’s impossible to get through to a real person in customer services. I’ve had numerous chats with an Automated agent, sent boots back and now I can’t get any response regarding refund. I would not purchase from this company again, not the quality or service you would expect.
Customer service terrible,bought hunter…
Customer service terrible, bought hunter explorer boots and the tongue is faulty they said they cannot do nothing without the order confirmation number,I’ve only had the boots a couple month and I’ve only managed to wear them 4 times as the tongue brooded my ankle as there’s too much material clumped up,thought I was buying the best
Hunter is a joke
Hunter is a joke. The worst customer experience I've ever experienced- which is 'no response'.
I sent two emails (Since they have no chat function and calling number either). Both 14 days ago to cancel my order and no response so far.
Once you order it, there's no way that you can cancel it on the website. I guess the only way is to speak with the agent. But guess what. You can't speak with them because they don't respond.
And then I had to return the item due to the size issue (Which I could cancel if they responded). The postage, of course, you should pay and you should arrange the delivery by yourself. I sent the item back and it arrived 4 days ago. And of course there's no confirmation of the receipt or status update.
Nothing.
I sent an email today and not sure when I can get the response. Will I ever get my money back...? I will never buy any Hunter product.
Thanks for this wonderful first and last experience.
Boots peeled off after only 5 months
Boots peeled off after only 5 months. I paid a huge amount of money for them and now they are unwearable. I thought I was buying into a strong and reliable brand, I am truly disappointed.
Size guidance wrong, cheapskate returns policy.
The website said the sizes run large so I ordered my normal size, thinking they would fit a thick sock. But they were too small even with a normal sock. I also didn't like the 'high heel' design - I was buying them for gardening work. Also, you have to pay for returns. The order boots cost £66.99, including postage, and because of the size and weight of the package, we had to pay £12.95 for tracked return! This feels extremely cheap behaviour by what's supposed to be a premium brand. And it's especially galling since their size guidance was misleading. (my wife's review)
Disappointing Customer Service
I am really disappointed in their customer service. This would be my first pair of Hunter boots, and I've wanted them for a long time. It will be my last. My daughter purchased them in October, planning early for Christmas gifts. The boots were just a bit too small. We requested an exchange, but we were told they do not do exchanges. They have a 30-day return policy. They then offered to extend the return time after I sent them 2 or 3 pictures of all the angles of the boots and then sent me a shipping label...so far...so good, right? They now have the returned boots. Unfortunately, the boots she ordered, the pair I've wanted for years, are no longer available. In fact, there are very few pairs available in my size in the same style of boot. The simple request, please refund her money, they will not refund her money. Just an FYI, if you are on the fence with size or ordering a gift and unsure...don't.
Hunter overpriced utter rubbish.Used for less than 6 months
Used for less than 6 months . Rubber perished then split. Same place both boots. Hunter basically said i bought before they went into liquidation even though they started up again . They no longer represent quality. I am disgusted and out of pocket. Puncture repair kits should be offered with their products. Also impossible to leave reviews on their facebook page.
Awful customer service. Now out of pocket.
I ordered some boots for my granddaughter for Christmas but accidentally ordered two pairs. I realised within one minute of ordering and tried to contact customer service. I could not get any service and contact took days for each response. We also had to pay to return them. To make matters worse after them saying it was too late to cancel I received and email saying my order would be delayed. We then then waited 4 weeks 4 days to get a refund. Awful custom service. Awful systems. Slow response and I am out of pocket. I see on here that some reviewers actually had their return paid for which is galling. Terrible company with no customer service or control of the systems.
Absolutely terrible customer service
Absolutely terrible customer service - no acknowledgement whatsoever. I have chased Hunter Boots UK since November 2024 and have successfully got absolutely nowhere.
Do they actually exist??
Appalling customer service
Appalling customer service, in fact I should say non-existent!
Ordered 2 pairs of Hunter boots for myself and my daughter, one pair is faulty and the company are ignoring my emails, as I requested a prepaid return label.
I will never purchase again from this company and now I shall be contacting my bank for a chargeback. HNT58957
I purchased a pair of Hunter Balmoral…
I purchased a pair of Hunter Balmoral tall full zipper wellington boots direct from Hunter, and they are amazing, very comfortable and easy to walk in, well made to perfection with the Tec Sole, super fast dispatch and delivery, fast reply communications from customer service,
