Disappointed is an understatement..

To say we’re disappointed with the level of communication from the Horncastle Branch with Michael and Susan Noonan is an understatement and the level of service is a far cry from Michael's commitment to customer experience.

Researching this branch shows multi-occasions that this activity has happened here.

If you’re viewing a property with the intent to buy, don’t expect them to tell you if any other parties are interested. They’ll just pull it from under your feet along with any visions or excitement of a future you had in said house.

Viewed a property two weeks ago, following the viewing we had a really positive conversation with Susan in the office expressing great interest, no more than a week later sold to another buyer with no communication. It would have been professional and courteous to reach out to the buyer but more so to the seller, as I’m certain they would like to have known of other interest. Susan and Michael took away any opportunity or chance to put in any offers, resulting in many wasted hours.

I wouldn’t usually leave a review; but the tone in which Susan delivered the news was blunt, lacked any sort of empathy and very closed, to date I am still waiting for a reply to my email which I can only assume has been ignored.

We will steer clear of this company for future sales and purchases, knowing that their priority doesn’t appear to be with either buyer or seller.

The sale of our mum’s house by Hunters estate agents

Hunters have just sold my mum’s house and the whole experience from start to finish went so smoothly. James cane and valued the property and he was very kind and professional. Rebecca who handled the sale was brilliant! She was always in communication with my sister and I and kept us informed at every step of the way. She was always quick to answer any queries we had and was very prompt in resolving them. The other staff were also very kind and professional and really supported us in what has been a very emotional journey. Thank you all so much! 😃❤️

Harborne Office is fantastic !!

Hunters Harborne were engaged to sell my Edgbaston apartment. I was very impressed from the outset when Jake visited and presented his company and set the price to market. Within a very short time Hunters secured a buyer and the solicitors then did what solicitors do and contracts were exchanged last week. Special thanks to Emma and Sophie for their professionalism in email and telephone communication. I only visited there offices just once during the entire sales process. I have no hesitation in recommending them and sincerely thank them.

The team at the Sutton Coldfield office…

The team at the Sutton Coldfield office have been brilliant. They managed to rent out my apartment within a week, which was super quick. I have used Hunters for the past few years now and always had a professional service with a smile! Always happy to help and advise, in particular Alison, Sharon and Emily from the sales team who made the whole process easy..... Thank you

Hunters is a joke

I have had experience with Hunters in the past on multiple occasions. I am disappointed everytime from their lack of felixibility. For example if you're trying to rent and your annual income matches but does not excees what is expected by Hunters then they will abruptly cut you off. Also horrible customer service by the staff and do not know what they are doing. On a flat i called twice one staff member told me i had to satisfy an income of 29.000 pounds and another staff member told me i had to exceed 30.000 wich makes me doubt their honesty. I have had much better experiences with other agencies. Do not reccomend.

Ignorant and unprofessional Estate…

Ignorant and unprofessional Estate Agents! I contacted them three times to view a property. I ended up knocking on the Venders door and viewing on the spot. I offered nearly full asking price with a full cash, nothing to sell offer and they said they'd come back to me after the bank holiday, it's now been 6 days and I've not even had a refusal email or phone call! I would never view another property with this Estate Agent and would certainly never sell a property with them!

Professional Friendly service

Having sold several properties in the past, the service I have received from Emma Bell in Annan Dumfries and Galloway has been exceptional.
With her 20 years experience in marketing properties, I found her advice and professionalism second to none.
Very friendly, fully informed and as passionate as I am about my property.
Her examples of similar properties was really helpful.

Oz hunters Bridgend

Absolutely incredible experience with our letting agent Oz. She as patient and kind with us as first time renters and got us moved out in 2 weeks. She kept us fully in the loop and stayed in constant contact . Absolutely recommend using this letting agents.

Unprofessional Hunters of Cheltenham

We recently viewed a bungalow being presented by Hunters in Cheltenham.
They are so unprofessional first of all the agent that showed us around acted completely disinterested in us or our requirements to the point we actually felt like an inconvenience. We did make an offer on the property slightly under the asking price and after two weeks and several calls to them we still don't know if the offer was accepted or any feedback at all.
So if this is the standard at this stage how much worse can it get going forward. Anyway we won't be finding out thanks.

An unfortunate attitude from Hunters

My boyfriend and I were purchasing a property through Hunters and they were pleasant enough. However, when we received the results of the independent survey two months down the line, it highlighted what we considered to be significant problems with the property, particularly the necessity of a whole new roof, and the replacement of brickwork.

Naturally, we had not - and could not have - factored in the cost of these repairs, or the time it would take to carry them out, so we emailed our contact at Hunters in Sunderland, simply outlining the issues that the survey had presented, and attaching the report in full. The reply we received explained ‘The seller is not under any obligation to carry out any work or offer a reduction’. While true, this attitude seemed hostile to us, and rather unprofessional. We did not mention a negotiation of price, or the current owners carrying out the work themselves - although, to be frank, these did not seem unreasonable expectations.

We had misgivings about how considerable an undertaking the repairs would be, both financially and physically, but were open to discussing options with Hunters/the sellers. However, we decided to withdraw from the sale, and Hunters’ attitude did play a big part in that.

As a prospective buyer, you do not have a choice over which estate agent to deal with, but I would certainly be reticent about purchasing a property sold by Hunters in the future, and would strongly advise sellers to consider the overwhelmingly negative reviews on this page before engaging Hunters, as the wrong estate agent could scupper a sale, as in this case.

Dishonest and unprofessional

We drove over 250 miles to view a house listed for let @ £900. We said we like it and were happy to proceed, after all similar properties down south cost £1000 a month….
We were absolutely shocked when they got back to us, offering us the house for £1000 because they knew we could afford it… we were aghast! I have never ever encountered such skullduggery and dishonesty…. Of course we declined… how can one deal with such a dishonest estate agent as these!

Hunters Baldock as letting agents…

Hunters Baldock were the letting agents for a recent rental. I found them rude and difficult to the point of enjoying the power they had over me as a nervous tenant in an expensive and competitive market. They piled on the reasons why I might not get my deposit back (which they still have not returned) were useless with actual sums and dates and generally unpleasant.

All talk no action

They contacted me as they said my current estate agent was not promoting my house to its best potential.
I was promised a quality service with excellent communication but as it turned out they are worse than my current estate agent .
I would avoid hunters as they are clearly having serious issues across the company.

Hunters, Preston Road, Harrow

I write about Hunters, Preston Road, Harrow. I am a landlord. I asked Hunters, Preston Road, Harrow to serve notice to the tenant on 10 January 2024. Hunters refused to do so and unlawfully pulled out the deposit on the 19th of January 2024. I had paid Hunters for this deposit to be insured until the end of the contract on 17March 2024. They said because they pulled out the deposit from the scheme, they were unable to serve notice to the tenant. Hunters are not responding to any of my emails asking about access to my property or how I can contact the tenant after the contract expires. The tenant is also refusing to respond to my emails. I am shocked that this can happen when you engage the services of a reputable a countrywide agent like Hunters. There has been a lot of bullying by Hunters throughout the year and they have tried to get outside parties to help them to extort a couple of thousand pounds out of me too. Changes have been made to the gas system to accommodate an extra four hob burner which has resulted in the gas certification being failed. So as to not draw attention to the gas issue, Hunters did not arrange a gas certification at both of my properties too! When I questioned them they stopped communicating for the next three months!
Should you have issues with Hunter’s there is no one at head office one can reach out to. You are forced to write and write and write to the same person who is responsible for the issues!!! Does that even make sense! Questions I ask Hunter’s about my property have a come back ..they will take me to court or I should sue them! The contract expires in three days time and it is as if I have no information on my property thanks to Hunters!
