Bad experience with Hushed.
I purchased Hushed through Appsumo. In the conditions Hushed did not share about the 6-month usage and the renewal of the phone number.

SCAM SCAM SCAM

SCAM SCAM SCAM! If I could give them 0 stars I would because they're not a service they're just a SCAM! Rented a number, couldn't log into the account until I reset the password several times. When I finally was able to login I discovered quickly even though advertised as a mobile number it's just VOIP. The number given to me is the same area code that TextNow uses for my region which is exclusively VOIP. Don't waste your time, you can get this same garbage for free else where.

DONT SIGN UP FOR THIS COMPANY. i dont recomend this company, i purchased a lifetime for 25, 2 weeks after purchased another one, then the first one expired, so i deleted from dashboard cos it was not working, i went to support, they told me it expired bacause it was inactive for more than 6 months LIE, i purchased the line not enven 3 weeks before this happened, and after that they told me the line coulndt be restored since i deleted it (WELL I WAS EXPIRED WHAT WAS I SUPOSSED TO DO) DONT GIVE MONEY TO THIS COMPANY THE SUPPORT TREATS YOU LIKE S, AFTER I SAID IN THE EMAIL THEY WERE BAHAVING UNPROFESSIONALY ONE GUY IN THE SUPPORT TOOK OVER THE CONVERSATION AND THAT AS "EXCEPTION" THEY WOULD 25$ REFUND WOOOWWWW, AFTER I SAID PLEASE REFUND THEY RETURNED SAYING THEY WERE GOING TO ESCALATE TO SUPPORT MANAGEMENT ??

I wanted to find a virtual number that could recieve SMS messages for account verification in the UK (i'm based in another country) and the hushed app worked perfectly for me. There are other providers who claim to offer this SMS service too but are much less reliable

I just signed up on “hushed” to use on…

I just signed up on “hushed” to use on tinder. IT DOESN’T WORK. They offer a three day trial but you can’t get it. I signed up for 30 days thinking I got the 3 day trial first to try it out. Not so ! I deleted the number they gave me so I could try a different number and it wants more money. Now I have 30 days on “HUSHED” that is useless. It won’t give me another number and won’t refund me. SCAM.

Locked out of my Hushed Account - FIXED

Edit: While I’m still rather frustrated that situation happened, and the fact that it could very well happen again, Hushed did resolve my issue in less than 24 hours no questions asked. Credit where credit is due. I will be continuing to use Hushed.

I got a Hushed account for my business. I wanted to be able to use my personal phone to set up appointments with customers, however, I did not want to give customers my personal phone number. The service was working great initially for my purposes. However, today while I was in the middle of reaching out to multiple customers that had reached out to our company for our service, Hushed locked me out of my account like many other people in the reviews here. I will gladly change my review if they resolve this issue. But this is unacceptable. I used their service exactly as advertised. I am incredibly frustrated. Now my customers will likely think I'm unresponsive due to the abrupt cut off in our conversations today while trying to set up their appointments. This is ridiculous.

I purchased a Lifetime account from…

I purchased a Lifetime account from StackSocial in 2019. There was nothing back then to indicate if the account wasn't used after six months it would expire. Lifetime is lifetime. I have several other Lifetime accounts with companies and not a single one has an expiration for lack of use. This is just downright fraud and stealing money. My account was expired one week after six months with no warning from Hushed. Stealers!

01/11/2024 Prove to me that was true in 2019! And, even if you can that’s still not Lifetime and still makes this a fraud.

Wretched company, zero support.

This company is unscrupulous and borderline criminal. They expired my lifetime subscription without notification contrary to their TOS and never responded to my support request in over a month so far. Literally the definition of taking your money and running. Do not use them. I'll be contacting the BBB soon.

This is scam

This is scam, I'm unable to login my account and waiting for support response from eternity. I've used my number with my all clients and I'm afraid that I'll have to restart from beginning everything. My number is also linked with all the Bank and unable to also do any financial transactions with my bank I don't care about this app subscription. Please allow me to take this number from some other service provider or I might have to go with some legal action.

Unexplained Suspension of Services – Seeking Transparency

I am writing to express my concern and seek clarity regarding a recent experience with Hushed. On the 12th of July 2023, I purchased a phone number from Hushed, intending to use it as a business contact for my website. The transaction was made using my MasterCard ending in 8586.

Unexpectedly, a few days ago, I found myself unable to log into the Hushed app. Upon contacting customer service for an explanation, I was informed that my account and the number had been suspended due to a violation of the Terms of Service (TOS). This came as a surprise to me, as I had not made or received any calls on this number; it was solely intended for business purposes on my website.

I sought clarification from the customer service team, requesting specific details or evidence of the alleged TOS violation. However, I was informed that they could not provide any details, citing the TOS violation as the reason. This response left me without a clear understanding of what transpired or how I might have inadvertently breached their policies.

I am deeply concerned about this situation, as I have noticed similar experiences shared by other customers on this platform. The lack of transparency and inability to provide concrete evidence for the suspension raises questions about the practices being employed.

As a customer who entered this agreement in good faith, I am seeking a more detailed explanation of the alleged violation, or, at the very least, a fair and transparent review of my case. I believe in resolving issues amicably and hope that Hushed will provide a satisfactory response to this perplexing situation.

Delet my account

My support request 614491. I rented a number about a year ago. During this time, I have NEVER used the number. I only extended his lease once every 3 months. A week ago, I was surprised to find that my account had been deleted. The support claims that I violated the rules of the service. Once again, I have NEVER used a rented number anywhere! How could I violate the rules of the service in this case?!

This application was really great

This application was really great, I had a very good experience, second American number helped me many times, I promoted this app to my friends and some of them purchased it, I had so much trust to this service and I linked my bank account with hushed number and it was a big mistake. They deactivated my account without any reason and now I don't have any idea what to do, I can't receive verification password if I want to pay for something.

Update: after my request team fixed it, hopefully it'll never repeat again.

Hushed need to improve their services Disappointing!!!!

I'm totally disappointed with hushed company, i have been using them for almost 3 years, on Wednesday i wasn't able to login to my account when i reached out to the support, the guy who was dealing with me was extremely rude and told me the number has been deactivated when i asked him the reason he couldn't say, then i was lucky to get another person on the line who had better etiquette but the problem is communication he replies one chat after every 30 years. I'm very disappointed my number is still active my money is gone!!!

Extreme Disappointment with Hushed App

I'm writing this review after experiencing immense frustration with the Hushed App. I had purchased several lifetime numbers through this application. Now, to my utter shock, all of them have mysteriously expired without any prior notification.

I was not provided with any email notice or warning about this unexpected change. This lack of communication from the company's end is highly unprofessional and downright disrespectful to a paying customer.

The customer support is another area where this app severely disappoints. I reached out for assistance, hoping to resolve my issue, only to be met with silence. The lack of response and resolution from their side has further intensified my dissatisfaction.

To add insult to injury, they now want me to repurchase the numbers. This feels like a scheme to extract more money from their customers without providing the promised services.

I'm extremely disheartened by my experience with Hushed App and caution others to avoid this company at all costs. Based on my experience, I am compelled to give a 0-star rating.

Unsatisfactory Experience with Hushed

I initially turned to Hushed to obtain a virtual UK number for my business. Everything went smoothly at the beginning. Registration was on March 15th, and although I faced an account blockage within 2 weeks, their support team was prompt and helpful in resolving the issue. I was so confident in their service that I even paid for my phone number a year in advance to ensure continuity.

However, my confidence was shattered on September 18th when my account was abruptly blocked again, without any apparent reason. Upon contacting their support, I was informed that I had violated their Terms of Service (ToS). I painstakingly went through their ToS multiple times and could not find any clause that I might have breached. When I asked for further clarification, I was met with silence.

This situation has left me in a bind. Not only have I wasted around 200 GBP, but I now have the onerous task of transitioning my business services to a new number. Without a clear understanding of what went wrong, I'm left with the fear of unknowingly making the same mistake again.

Luckily, I have since found an alternative service that not only provides clear ToS but also offers a web version, which is much more convenient. The pricing is comparable to Hushed, but the clarity and peace of mind make it invaluable.

To potential users of Hushed: The platform may seem promising, but my experience has been marred by uncertainty and unresponsiveness. Approach with caution.
