Run away from them, it's a crap company

I have 5 numbers with them, and they close them.

I tried to talk to the support but in vain.

I got to the right person

I had a problem with my phone number being deactivated and I tried sending emails and getting in touch from the website with no luck. I finally posted my problem here and was contacted quickly by somebody at the company.

The lady I spoke with got my problem fixed in a kind and cheerful manner. I hate to resort to reviews to get health, but this is one time where I think all we had was a miscommunication and the company made things right.

I am conducting a court care against…

I am conducting a court care against this company. case no B/67889/21. I make sure this company will never made any sale in India. the case and details will be shared to them soon. and for you. do not buy there product If you are Indian. Other country I have nothing to say. I have found quite a few logs where it suggest that this company read customers sms. I have enough proof of that.
I/We, also have a company located in Illinois United States and we are in a discussion with out attorney to sue this company.

Due to some obligation I am not giving any such subscription details from hushed Voip. However enough proof has been submitted to Govt Of India. Including malicious codes and how they read customer's sms.

Update: We filed a case to FTC against hushed. I have a personal hearing on 14 Sep 23. I will update soon. I feel sorry for this company.

Deception! Theft! Fraud!

I've been using their service for quite some time. I have a lot of paid numbers that are important to me. At one point, I stopped receiving messages to my numbers, waited a few days with the idea that these were technical problems. Then I turned to tech support, and they just took and blocked my account. I started writing to them from the mail, and they just don't answer me

Good for me…

Look I know looking at the reviews you would think the majority of customers have problems and that might be true. I live in Australia and needed a US phone for my US bank account verification messages. I signed up for a PAYG International Package $4.99 a month and could not be happier. They deliver, at least to me, all that was promised.

Run from them, they are thieves!

If there was a zero rating, that’s what’s they deserve.
Run from these thieves. I opened my account, paid for it and started using the number with no issues, and just 2 weeks later my account logged me out, they changed my password and made it impossible for me to retrieve the account, yet at the end of the month, my card was still charged.
Efforts to reach the customer support proved abortive as their lines were unreachable. I have benefit if doubt and open a second account, and same thing just happened.
I advise all to run from them as they are criminals and deserve to be prosecuted.

Wow! My experience was VERY positive

Wow! A lot of negative reviews. If Hushed was doing what all these reviewers claim, they would NOT be in business any longer, as Hushed would cancel all their clients for no reason! My experience - I tried their service for 1 month with a temporary number. No issues - everything worked perfectly. I then ported my wife's and my cellular numbers to 2 separate Hushed accounts which took about 10 days to accomplish, but all is good and working exactly as expected and advertised. These are personal use lines which we had on cellular service for over 25 years. Now, I'm saving over $1,000 per year per line and if I need cellular data I can just buy a data e-Sim for super cheap per GB from a multitude of providers. (Hushed also has this service through their sister company aloSIM). Customer service specacular - Heather, Brayan, Steph, Rahma and Michael whenever I got nervous waiting for the ports to happen. Answered my questions within a couple of hours each time. Super reliable phone service too. I've been using VOIP applications since they were first invented about 15 years ago, so I know a thing or three about it. Just don't mess with their policies, and you'll be fine.

These guys are total scamsters!

These guys are total scamsters. Their Customer Support is probably the WORST thing you'd ever experience. If anyone still wants to try Hushed - this will be their typical fun ride:

1. Sign up for a subscription
2. Send a few messages or make a few calls to your friends or colleagues - say just 10-odd messages.
3. Within a few hours you'll have your account de-activated.
4. When you reach out to their Customer Support, the front desk will forward your ticket to a so-called 'expert' who will say you violated their so-called terms of service and instruct you on how to cancel your subscription with the caveat that you will not receive a prorated refund for the remaining days of your subscription.

Their customer support 'experts' won't even answer your questions, suggest ways to re-activate your account or even explain what exactly resulted in violation of terms of service - instead, they'll just tell you repeatedly to cancel the subscription to stop the recurring and non-refundable charges.

And as you would notice on this review board, the customer support would shamelessly copy-paste the same 'we are sorry' message to all genuinely disgruntled subscribers.

Our business is considering filing a lawsuit against these scamsters with the hope that more individuals and businesses won't experience the same pain and that Hushed will either cease to exist to stop scamming people.

Unfair to their customers !

Hi there.
This review is for you who is considering to buy Hushed subscription. DO NOT PAY MONEY TO THIS COMPANY.

This company policy it is not fair for their customers.
Their support is totally useless and I got a very impressive story with this company.
Ever since I bought the number it was not working so I reached their support and the support replied by saying that my account was suspended because according to them I violated their privacy policy.
How I am supposed to violate your ''policy'' if I didn't use your account at all??

So after I posted my first review they contacted me and fixed the account claiming that it was a mistake.
Anyway 2-3 days passed and my account got blocked again without any possible cause.
I reached their support again and the magnificent master MR. SAM claimed that my account is suspended for the same reason, now there is something I don't understand how do I break your policy if I speak with my family?
Do you have anything against people speaking with their families or what?
In conclusion I think that this company is a SCAM and needs to be reported to the relevant authorities.

UNTRUSTWORTHY, UNETHICAL, UNPROFESSIONAL

took lifetime membership, within 2 months they disabled my account permanently without notification,
i used it only for receiving sms, barely used for calling I was travelling in aboard,
when contacted support they said i overused, barely some 20 sms, and may be 30 minutes of calling...in 2 months..and permanently disable? it was well within alloated quota, even if exceeced they should just ask for more money to top up the account, instead of permanently disable..

they don't have any details or any way to recover..
either they are unethical at deep level.. promising lifetime and then when they got enough monthly paying customers, disabled the account completely

unfit crazy kids running the company, need some professional adults in the industry...

the company has a ethical hole, trustpilot collective score of terrilble,..,.,even if they become big one day will crash , even mighty Enron, worldcom, lehman brothers crashed due to lack of ethics... count down begins...

A company going down the drain

Just like Sokolalina mentioned, an account which contains three (3) phone numbers I've used for close to 2 years was also suddenly deactivated without any warning whatsoever with the same BS of an excuse, "the account mentioned has been suspended indefinitely to prevent further risks towards burdening our network, service, and its users and will not be reactivated." This is despite a plea to them to even mention the provision in the terms of service they claimed I violated.

In my opinion, this is a company that's most likely going bankrupt. The 3 lifetime phone numbers I had were bought from Stacksocial and Groupon and so this massive deactivation exercise they've now embarked on is simply to recover as many phone numbers off the market and have them recycled. If you doubt me, check those platforms to see if you'd see any of them selling the Hushed service.

Of the 3 numbers I had, I used them majorly for subscription services that provide OTPs like Apple TV as well as harmless text messages to a few of my contacts. Right now, I'm left with no choice, but to abandon the Apple services as we all know how rigid Apple can be.

If you cherish your money dearly, stay away from this company and its product as they will mess you up in no time. Take a look at their ratings here on Trust pilot and then you wonder why they're so poorly rated.

I ordered a lifetime account back in 2019. Now the number has expired and they will not give another number to me. Please don't buy this lifetime deal its lies as the ones expired you cant get a new one.

After 60 days of usage suddenly got suspended.

Support said: The account mentioned has been suspended indefinitely to prevent further risks towards burdening our network, service, and its users.

I only use hushed for my online bank login, everyday only receive 1-2 sms for 1 single service. The hushed subscription payment is done by my credit card/google pay. 100% legal usage.

I bought a package on this app for 30 days and within 12 hours of doing so could not login to my account. After sending a enquiry to the support email I was told that I was in violation of the terms of service & I have not had any further communication since depsite asking numerous times for an explanation!?!?
There is no possible way I could be in violation of anything as I had only just opened the account????
