Useful card especially for public transport
Once I connected with an e-sim it worked well! It is reliant on an internet connection- doesn’t add to wallett- wasn’t clear when I purchased it. Otherwise all good! Worked well! Got my discounts on a few things. Didnt find any restaurants that took it though!

Make your trip to Amsterdam easier
Easy to pick up and use. So convenient using it to get around with the Metro and tram. And so many museums to see with free admission! The canal tour is a nice touch too.

The city has gone downhill. Very dirty. City tax is crazy.
I’ve been visiting Amsterdam for over 30 years regularly in business. I’ve got to say it really has changed over the years for the worse. It’s very dirty, the streets are unclean and they now charge an educators 12.5% city tax on hotel accommodation. And that’s after more than doubling the rate of VAT on hotels. It’s a real shame that the city is not being cared for. If you are a tourist planning a trip to Europe I would suggest you avoid a probable disappointment by going somewhere else.

Useful and good value for money
There are so many museums included, it was great. Sadly the weather put paid to our planned free bicycle trip out to the windmills, but otherwise it was very handy for trams, museums, botanical gardens which were all free.

Great value but mobile app failed
Convenient way to travel around Amsterdam and see the sights. Staff was friendly when helping me. I was not able to get the mobile app to function so I lost a day of my pass.

Thanks to this card, we visited 4 museums, rode a bike and had a canal tour, and were at the observation deck. It's a really cool thing and I recommend using it, because you can really save money in 2 days.

Saved a fortune buying the Amsterdam City Card. Free entry to so many museums, discounted entry and a free canal cruise. Also great for the public transport. Highly recommend!

The description via video explaining the card was very useful. The staff were really helpful and most of the places we wished to visit were covered by the card.
I didn't realise it wouldn't cover travel to a town outside of Amsterdam where our hotel was which was slightly annoying but apart from that I think it was worth the money

I loved having the digital I AMsterdam…
I loved having the digital I AMsterdam card. It made using public transportation a breeze! And I loved being able to get into museums for free! I wish the list was more concise of what I can use the card to get a discount/get into for free. My only other complaint is not being able to use this on buses or trains leaving Amsterdam. I'm not sure if there was an option to include outside of Amsterdam but it was a little stressful finding out we couldn't use those to go visit the windmills in Zaanse Schans.

Regarding transportation outside Amsterdam, unfortunately the card only covers GVB public transport within the city and does not include regional buses or trains to destinations such as Zaanse Schans. Easy to use! Liked the savings! Having access to the trams saved us tons of time and walking on the cobblestone that is tough on our senior knees.

The card doesn't cover all bus routes and some of the museums weren't clear on where to use the card, causing waits and awkward interactions with staff.
