Broken door handle

Have a tall free standing Ice King fridge it’s 11 months old and has two year warranty.
The door handle is very flimsy so it broke a couple of days ago.
Phoned customer service and been informed that the handle is a cosmetic part so not covered under the warranty and although they can send me a replacement handle, I will need to pay.
Don’t know how much yet but I take issue that it’s a cosmetic part as you can’t open the fridge without pulling the door with your fingers.

DO NOT PURCHASE FROM HERE

I ordered two small fridges from Ice King and paid for expedited delivery. They did not turn up on time and when I queried this I got an email asking if I wanted them or not. They told me that I had ordered at 6.30pm so I would not get next day, but this was not stated on their website and I did not receive any kind of refund. I did not receive an email confirming that I had paid either and as I have sent two emails asking them to send it, as well as reporting a dent on the corner of BOTH fridges and have not got a reply back then it looks like I will have to go to trading standards,

Complete waste of money

Complete waste of money. Fridge lasted 14 months eg Just long enough to exceed the 12 month guarantee. Not only will we never purchase 'Iceking' again. We will also stop using our local appliance supplier as stocking this kind of crap speaks volumes. Replaced with Beko. A few quid more but much better quality.

WORST COMPANY EVER!

NEVER AGAIN I WILL BUY FROM ICEKING!! I give one start because no-star is not allowed.

I bought an Iceking 80/20 Fridge freezer in August, 9 months ago. It just broke down.
I have called customer services for a repairs & it is awful, just plain awful. It seems their intention is just to put us off.
After endless questions about model, serial number, place & date of purchase, etc etc I was told that an engineer will contact me to arrange a visit...and still waiting. I already assumed that I will have to buy a new fridge.

Same as other reviewers - took out a two-year "guarantee" and they won't replace the freezer door because it is a "breakable item that requires routine replacement". How can a freezer door be classed as something that requires "routine replacement"?! Then quoted £80 for a new door.
Had to phone because emails are routinely ignored. Dreadful experience and poor product. Avoid.

my partner managed to break the door…

my partner managed to break the door shelves and i was astounded when quoted £65+ to replace them from IceKing, 50% the cost of a brand new fridge. will not purchase the shelves and will never purchase an IceKing product again.

This company is an utter disgrace

This company is an utter disgrace. SHOULD BE INVESTIGATED!!!The fridge was only fit for the skip on day one. Complete rubbish. Absolutely horrendous customer support. Very, very rude indeed. Wouldn't even listen to my account of the many defects. Leaking water on the floor, condensation on the shelves which flooded every day even when virtually empty or full. Temperature all over the place, totally irregular. NEVER BUY THIS BRAND EVER. DONT EVEN TAKE A FREE ONE IF THEY GIVE THEM AWAY!

Thankyou Trustpilot, I nearly ordered an Ice King Fridge Freezer but thought I would look up the reviews on your site and thank God I did! 97% negative reviews. Has saved me a lot of money, just wish more people were aware of this scurrilous company.

Awful Fridge, even worse Customer Service!

Awful product, awful customer service.
Bought a brand new larder fridge in December.
By mid January the milk / wine / juice bottle holder hinge (which is part of the door) developed a crack so every time you opened the door, the milk/wine/juice fell out. Called up the manufacturer to report the issue and was told the only solution would be to replace the door BUT "cosmetic damage is not covered under warranty" The fridge is 2 months old, not 2 years old!
Obviously the item is not fit for purpose so had to initiate a chargeback on my card.

Fridge nightmare!

We purchased a larder fridge from Iceking that leaked within a fortnight. We contacted the repair service, Repairtech, and they were useless. They were rude, put the phone down and they gave us endless lies. They kept saying that they would return our calls and they ignored us. Whenever we called them, they told us that the people in charge were in meetings. When an engineer finally came, he was not helpful at all. He took a photograph and left.

It has been a nightmare. It took us 4 months to get the fridge taken away and a refund given by the seller. DO NOT TOUCH THIS COMPANY!

Avoid Iceking and their service…

Avoid Iceking and their service RepairtechUK at all costs. This is the service repair company for Iceking, AGA, Montpellier, Rangemaster, Lofra. I rang them today to request a repair of my Iceking fridge under warranty and their customer adviser Sam spoke to me in a rude and disrespectful manner, bullying me into giving up on my repair rights. She put the phone down on me twice and each time refused to give me the complaints details. She also refused to put me through to a manager. Sam asked me to pay for parking for the engineer. I repeated that there is pay and display but she would take no notice of this. She defiantly insisted that the engineer must park outside my home and that I pay for this even though I'm the customer and this is a call under warranty. She kept questioning me insinuating that it was somehow my fault if the fridge is leaking. I had called Repairtech before on 4 October 2022 but the person I spoke to apparently didn't write in the notes that the fridge has become extremely noisy and I can hear the loud buzzing noise even from my bedroom upstairs. Sam bullied me into relinquishing my rights insisting that I could end up paying £84 for the engineer to come out if I decided to go head. I got so upset that I give up. It was clear to me at that point that the Repairtech engineer would find any excuse to charge me regardless, as this company is not to be trusted. Sam also asked if I cleaned the drainage in the fridge, I said yes but my word wan't enough, she then defiantly asked 'how' I cleaned it with tone of voice that was horrible, as though she was accusing me of something. Every time I asked her to speak to me in a different tone she talked over me. I have never been treated so badly by someone at customer service.
This is the most despicable service I have ever encountered in my life.

Terrible product and even worse customer service

Bought a fridge freezer 14 months ago and the freezer component stopped working. Contacted iceking and they said they would send an engineer. The engineer came out and told us to defrost the freezer (it didn’t need defrosting), we did defrost it but lo and behold it still didn’t work. From then have the worst possible customer service from iceking. The agents you speak to are unhelpful and at times outright rude. The team manager was even worse and at one point hung up the phone on me. Promised an engineer would call again and no one turned up. Not able to get hold of anyone to try and rectify the situation. Absolutely terrible product and even worse customer service. Would never buy from them again.

Do NOT ever have anything to do with…

Do NOT ever have anything to do with this RUDE HORROR SHOW OF A COMPANY!
I am now stuck with a fridge freezer that I can't use and this rude bunch of clowns do not give a damn. Now forced to pay £84 call out charge for an engineer (NOT) not bothering to check it and LYING to my face and then giving me another excuse and RUDE customer service!!!
I hope you bunch of RUDE lying criminals get your karma!😡
