Serial Scammer Builders Local West London

Subject: Complaint – Fraudulent Builders (Charlie and Darren – White Van with ASAP Logo)

Two individuals identifying themselves as Charlie and Darren, operating from a white van displaying the “ASAP” logo, attended my home after responding through Bark.com and presented themselves as reputable professionals.

They provided a quote of £2,300 for a roofing job. After arriving at the property, they removed the roofing felt and left the debris dumped on the grass area, refusing to remove the waste.

They then demanded £1,500 upfront for materials, which was paid and a receipt was issued. Shortly afterwards, they requested an additional £500, which was also paid. Despite receiving these payments, they failed to complete the work and abandoned the job, leaving the property in a worse condition.

In total, they took money without completing the agreed work, which we consider to be fraudulent behaviour.

These individuals originally contacted us via Bark.com, where they presented themselves as reputable contractors. However, Bark has confirmed this morning that they have removed them from their platform after receiving another similar complaint yesterday.

We have filed a formal complaint with Bark and will also pursue recovery of the funds through the Small Claims Court if necessary, regardless of how long the process takes.
