Overall a marvellous trip to the Italian Lakes and cruise down the Adriatic.
We used Imagine (for the second time) on an All-Inclusive Mediterranean Silversea Voyage, Trio of Italian Lakes and Scenic Rail Journey. We stayed for 3 days on Lake Maggiore and 3 days on Lake Garda followed by a 9 night cruise down the Adriatic on the Silver Muse.
We thoroughly enjoyed all aspects of the holiday and the organisation by Imagine staff both before and during the holiday was excellent. It transpired there were 120 people going on this trip with Imagine.
3 hotels were utilised at each of the two lakes. We were very happy with both ours (Hotel Villa Paradiso and Hotel Caesius Thermae and Spa Resort). The first a smaller family run hotel and the second a far bigger hotel.
We DID upgrage our rooms at both hotels before we departed and felt this worthwhile.
At the end of the holiday we had time to spare, after getting of the Silver Muse, and Imagine facilitated a 4 hour trip to Venice before taking us to Venice airport to fly home. All very well organised and at all times felt we were being looked after.
Our only negative is flights! Whilst the initial advert did state a "London departure and regional flights available" it did not state this was be at, considerable, more cost.
We live in Halifax, West Yorkshire and ended up deciding to travel down to London Heathrow, staying overnight at a hotel. Then having to drive back, on our return, arriving home at 01.30am!

£200 for an admin fee.... what a joke!!!
Nightmare organisation who have left a sour taste before we have even taken our holiday of a lifetime!!
We booked a trip for May 2027 to China and Japan and asked for an "upgrade" to regional flights and happily paid an additional £200 per person to fly from Manchester instead of London. When we booked at the beginning of September we were told the flights had not yet been released but they would get back to us with information as soon as they were available.
During September we took another long haul flight and had major problems with our connections from / to Manchester so, on our return to the UK, we rang Imagine Cruising and, as no flight details had yet been released we asked for this "upgrade" of regional flights to be cancelled and the £400 returned so that we could instead use the money to book a train / hotel in London for May 2027 as we did not want to face the issues we had experienced earlier this month again.
Despite the fact that it was LESS THAN 4 WEEKS since we had made the original booking, and NO flights had been booked yet, Imagine Cruising advised that they could arrange this for us but only if we paid an "admin fee" of £200 as they had put us on a "holding list" for the Manchester flights????
How can any company justify £200 admin fee for altering travel plans that have not even been booked yet?
We have paid £15,000 for this holiday and this company have left a very bitter taste, for what should be a holiday of a lifetime, for the sake of £200!
We will not use them again, and if you want a personal and professional service when booking your holiday of a lifetime we suggest you don't either.
We can only hope that the holiday, when it happens next year, is better organised, by more professionally responsible staff, than the jobsworths in their UK office!
