DO NOT PURCHASE TRAVEL INSURANCE WITH THIS COMPANY! Please shop around as there are better companies.
My flight was canceled to Tanzania with United because my layover was in DUBAI literally at the time the airport was CLOSED and NO flights were arriving. I then contacted the insurance company and they advised they cannot help because my destination was Tanzania. How was I getting there if my layover was canceled! They also said the insurance does not cover wars!
Therefore I guess I was supposed to attempt to fly into a closed airport or spend thousands more to go out of my way to try and find another country to fly in.
United even refunded my credit card due to this matter when they usually would offer a credit.
I am now seeking a civil lawsuit and have contacted my attorney.
