You get what you pay for

The camera works, but the app is very complex and manuals or support are very poor. Even the FAQ 'search' function on their website just doesn't work! Apparently nobody cares. I guess you get what you pay for.

Absolute criminals

Absolute criminals, i’ve paid a monthly subscription my house got broken into and they say I can’t see the data because I don’t pay that was three months ago they are still taking the money. I still can’t see any video footage. These people are criminals

Very poor. Buy another brand.

Company was good in the fact you could download you own videos from the SD card but they have now put this behind a paywall. I have cancelled my subscriptions over a year ago due to this reason. They are a company that can not be trusted to try and extract a subscription out of you! I shall be changing to another brand of camera soon.

Very pleased

We bought the camera to monitor our baby boy who had recently suffered seizures and we needed to keep an eye while we where at work. Despite all the negative reviews below, we on the other hand, are very happy with the device. We bought 2 different cameras to test out and the imou won. In fact, we were very pleased with the service that I have filled the house with them for home security. The subscription is fair, 15€ for 10 cameras and I have 8 which is fine, unlimited could for 7 days, let's me download, share, everything. The app is also very user friendly and easy to set up and use. I've used their CS twice and they responded very well and very quickly so was pleased with the outcome. All in all I would give this camera and it's services 4/5. Looking to invest in their outdoor camera soon. Thank you Imou

The camera is amazing with great…

The camera is amazing with great pictures and they work great.
The only problem is if you install a MicroSD card you are force to pay for imou subscribe just to download the videos off the camera MicroSD card.
if its a cloud storage i understand but why do i have to pay just to download the videos off the microSD card?

ZERO STARS

If I could give zero stars, I would. Absolute joke of a company. There is no one to contact apart from email, and they never reply. The live chat says they are not in business hours, even when it is during the middle of the day. Our camera system is unusable and the streaming error notification does not go away, even when reinstalling the app, MANY many times. So, I am now left with a device that is unusable away from the wifi at the house, with no customer service or tech help at all. Absolutely infuriating! Steer clear of this company!

The app keeps saying “Streaming error”…

The app keeps saying “Streaming error” and it is not possible to view the place under monitoring.
The loading arrives at 98% then you get the message “streaming error”.
Tried to reinstall the app, update, reset the camera bit still no improvements.
Not happy with the product.

Unfortunately there is no AI Enhanced…

Unfortunately there is no AI Enhanced detection without a subscription so way too many false alerts! This should come as standard like with many other security camera manufacturers.

Whenever there is a shadow or car passing there will be a motion detection. This is hugely problematic. I have a doorbell camera from a not so known manufacturer and it works flawlessly. Only get detection when there is an actual human in zone.

There are no manuals

There are no manuals. The software is not intuitive. Customer support is terrible. An example from a support email is "And about the zone you can decrease some piece is easy to get the detection"
On the phone I was given directly opposite advice by two different people regarding a 1 to 5 range. one said 1 was maximum sensitivity and the other said the opposite .
I am going to replace Imou Google Nest.

Imou cameras useless without cloud subscription.

With each update they kept pushing the cloud subscription in our faces. Because that didn't work they now locked basic functions like "DOWNLOADING SD CARD VIDEOS" unless you pay subscription.
I will change all Imou Cameras instead of paying that subscription.

Imou 4MP is a No Go.

After all the work of installing this Imou 4MP, it would never configure with Bluetooth or Ethernet. Tried calling for technical help, which is in ENGLAND only to reach a recording and no help.

Customer Service stinks.

A bought a Ranger 2 camera and wanted an extension cable so I contacted them to ask if they made one and where I could obtain it. They just fobbed me off and told me to look on Amazon. As their name didn't appear in any searches I went back and asked which of the generic cables would be suitable as they can vary in polarity. Again they fobbed me off without answering the question. When I tried a final time and suggested politely that they could be more helpful and that this wasn't good customer service, they emailed me back and suggested I buy a more up market brand. I will take their advice.

I have never had this bad a customer…

I have never had this bad a customer service in my entire life. Do not sign up for cloud storage whatever you do. I bought the years subscription for it not to even work. The service to get it sorted is an absolute sham. A Scam as they took my money and have refused a refund for a defective service. I will never buy any of their products again. EVER!

Constant harassment

Constant harassment by their program to subscribe to their cloud service as well as adverts. I have bought with local storage. But every time I want to look at a camera I am forced to decline online subscription. 1 year now. Hate them. No warning about this was posted anywhere on their products. No possibility to bypass.
Lousy company with no respect for their customers.
