Great experience overall. The food was great

Everything moved like clockwork. We did I have open time in Colchi to Munnar area, which could have been filled. Everyone was very punctual

India Odyssey lived up to their promises. The quality of the service - hotels, drivers, guides, selection of places to visits - was all first class.

Mavis Jiang from India Odyssey arranged our 14 day trip to Nepal and Bhutan. I have traveled to Uganda, Peru and China, so this was not a huge step for me. However, my husband had never traveled outside Western Europe, so Kathmandu was quite a margin out of his comfort zone. I wanted to make sure the trip went as smoothly as possible, and Mavis went out of her way to always reassure me and even made last minute changes to the itinerary because of some concerns about having enough rest days before strenuous climbs. I will certainly be contacting her to arrange our next adventure - perhaps to New Zealand! I highly recommend this company without reservation.

We booked a custom 1 week private tour of Delhi, Agra, Ranthambore and Jaipur through Odyssey Tours. All aspects of the tour were excellent. Our driver, Mr Girraj Singh, was safe and courteous and spoke good English that made it easy to communicate. The tour guides and Odyssey reps in each city were professional and knowledgeable and were quick to adjust the itinerary to meet our needs. At every step of the way, we felt that we were in good hands. Last but not least, planning the tour was also made easy by our travel consultant, Mr Owen Zhou, who was always prompt and thorough in his responses.

India Odyssey Tours worked with us to tailor our tour to meet our interests and budget. Our drivers and guides were all friendly and knowledgeable. Helped explain local customs and went out of their way to to find interesting photo opps and markets. There were only 2 of us traveling, so our drivers were very flexible with recommendations of places to shop and eat, while at the same time keeping us informed on what certain services should cost, where there were fixed prices and where it was ok to bargain.
Our driver for the last half of our trip (we were there 2 weeks), Anand Singh, was fabulous. His driving skills were impressive, which is needed in the traffic. Aside from keeping us safe, he was informative and friendly and open to anywhere we wanted to explore, and found some great places to shop and explore that we never would have found on our own. Would definitely use India Odyssey again, and would definitely request Anand.

We are due to fly out soon so this review is not about plans into practice but about planning before our trip, which I can say up to now has been excellent & hoping I can say the same on our return to the UK after our trip.

Everything was well coordinated. Bhutan is so beautiful. Dendup and Tobden were knowledgeable and polite, flexible and tried to meet all my requests. Thanks for an unforgettable journey. Debora was the travel consultant who arranged everything quickly last minute. The hotels were 3 stars but far better than I expected and the meals were satisfactory.

Well coordinated and responsive. Choice of hotels was very good, and basically moved seamlessly, from airport pick up through final return to the airport. No major glitches.

We based our tour on one of Odyssey's standard South India trips, but with modifications.

Don Li, our travel consultant, worked with us to finalise the route and hotels. He responded very quickly to our emails and provided lots of helpful information. We were very pleased with his services.

We would definitely use Odyssey again if we were making a trip to the areas they cover, and would be very happy to work with Don Li again.

Don was the key company representative before we travelled and Vijay was the key company representative during most of our trip. Vijay was always attentive to our needs and the car was always clean and well presented. Nothing was too much for him to make sure we had a good trip.

Both Don Li and Vijay A Ragavan are excellent ambassadors for India Odyssey Tours.

We are currently planning our next trip to India and can’t recommend enough Odyssey Tours and in particular our travel consultant Mavis Jiang.
Mavis helped us through all the planning stages with our constant questions and itinerary changes with out any problems. Always coming back the same or the next day, considering this done over the Internet

As a single traveler who had never visited any country in Asia, Odyssey was great with agency representatives at every city, and drivers and tour guides for the entire trip. It was excellent value and an amazing and safe adventure.

My first contact was Debora Wei. I can’t emphasize too strongly how effective, efficient, polite and receptive to my needs and wishes she was throughout the whole process. Thereafter, my experience throughout Rajasthan, Delhi, agra and Varanasi was truly memorable. Three of my guides were absolutely exceptional, professionally and personally, and the rest of them were very good. My driver was responsible, punctual and kind. He stopped at many places along the way for me to have unexpected delightful experiences. The office in Delhi was also very helpful and responsive. I would give My Odyssey an A+ for this memorable tour. Thank you to all involved!

Owen for odyssey tour was extremely helpful in organising our itinerary for our India adventure. It was such a good time with all the activities such as participating in Holi celebration, hot air ballooning and seeing the Taj Mahal. The hotels were lovely as well.

I am thankful first to the people who gave their honest good reviews on India Odyssey tours which I used as my base in choosing their co now its my turn to give back as a thank you.I just came back from my Bhutan tour .with gratitude in my heart to my agent Mr.Owen Zhou for almost a year of preparation,1. from the van that is being used for our entire tour clean and almost brand new. 2 hotels -we paid for 3 star only but got a 5 star quality and service (hotel Tashi Yoedling, clean spacious room staff very friendly food very good Zhingkham Resort on the top of the mountain over looking amazing view I wish we stayed for more days but because of our itenerary still thankful for a day ,and Hotel Olathang where they will serve us extra dish if they think whats in their buffet is not to our palate's preference we were served like royalty table's always full of extra dish that they put on our table ,bottled water has no limit even we never ask for water magic bottled water waiting outside our door they just knew what we need ,the moment we step into our room clean spacious ,and its warmth awaits us and also the staff very accommodating .THANKS also very much for 3.Choosing the right people to represent your company Mr.Kinley Gasaa our guide very proffessional and very intelligent person no questions left unanswered always on time,enjoys what he is doing doesn't care if he goes over time , proud to show his Bhutanese culture will go beyond to make our tour memorable he even invited us to drop by and had a tea and goodies at their home and his father's very kind to show us around, his organic vegetable garden and the natural gas from manure(which amazes us i heard about it but never thought i will see it in Bhutan) very intelligent and hard working people we also had a taste of fresh organic carrots and mustard leaves from MR.KInley's father's garden .And Mr.KInley Gazaa even made adjustments just to make sure we will enjoy each moment we spend in Bhutan .4. Our Driver MR.Paul (he and Mr Gazaa are a great team together share the same passion loves nature and birds and animals ,Mr Paul can tell you the name of any bird just by listening to its sound and gives free lessons on each species loves and eager to take photos on our request of any birds and animals we encounter in our expedition EXPERT driver I should say never in my life I feel safe and secured in a moving vehicle navigating in a Cliff . MR Paul as i observed he memorized all the turns and the curves in all the mountains in Bhutan i even said it before i think MR. Paul can drive with his eyes closed

We booked a private tour through Southern India for 15 nights through India Odyssey Tours - just us, an excellent driver and guides at many places. From the very start the organisation has been fantastic and we cannot rate our travel agent Mavis Jiang highly enough. We had ideas of our itinerary and Mavis fitted in very well with excellent suggestions and was able to amend the tour all the way through as we decided on different places to see or places to stay. Mavis always responded promptly to any query we had in a courteous and friendly manner. We were met at most places by company reps to ensure all was going well - too much lovely attention that we are not used too. We travel extensively, sometimes independently, sometimes through a company, sometimes a bit of both - by far and away and Mavis and Odyssey Tours are the best tour company we have ever used.

My husband and I just returned from a fascinating 34-day trip to India (in 2016 we took a trip to Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos with IndoChina Odyssey). This time, we customized our trip with the help of coordinator Alick Peng, and overall our experience was very positive. We chose to change the typical order of the tour, to stay with friends in Delhi, and to add additional sites to visit in South India. The hotels we stayed in were good to excellent. The logistics were smooth except in a couple of instances. We ran into communication problems, however, with the Delhi office regarding our decision to stay with friends and there was a mix-up with the local coordinator about his responsibility to obtain train tickets for us for the trip from Agra to Khajuraho. Also, we weren't alerted in advance to what to expect in each destination. Sometimes there was a local representative, sometimes not. Sometimes hotels asked for vouchers, which we didn't have. But these were minor problems, just bumps in the road. The magnificence of the history and culture and personal warmth of nearly all the people we met won us over.

The quality of our experience was affected by the quality of our guides and drivers. I wish I could commend all the excellent guides and drivers who helped us by name, but we were not provided a list of our guides, and I suggest that Indochina Odyssey provide all travelers with a list in the future. Overall our guides and drivers were good. The guides who stood out for their excellent English, extensive local knowledge, ability to listen to and understand our questions, and flexibility were located in Udaipur, Jodhpur, Jaipur, Agra, Varanasi, Delhi (our only female guide, who was excellent!), Trichy, Hampi, and Badami. We had good drivers throughout the trip and two deserve special mention. One was Romy Chaurasia, who navigated 10-days of difficult roads in Rajastan and Uttar Pradesh, driving skillfully with good cheer, good English, and conversation and caring strategies to make the long drives in the car comfortable and interesting. The second notable driver was Jaya in southern India. We especially appreciated his knowledge of local sites and history, his careful driving through the Western Ghats, and stimulating company.

Thanks to Odyssey, my sister and I had an wonderful time in India. All the guides were very knowledgeable and drivers were very professional. We were surprised to find wifi in each cars! We would definitely travel with Odyssey Tours again in the future. Thanks

Our tour with Odyssey in India exceeded all expectations. Our contact, Lynn, created a wonderful itinerary and was very accommodating when we made changes. She fit everything into our time frame and budget. She contacted us from time to time to assure that everything was going well. One key to sucess is Odyssey's cadry of amazing guides and outstanding drivers as well as the knowledgeable managers who always met us at the airport or train station and assured that everything was done in a timely and expert manner. Highlights included our time in Varanasi and Chandigarh. Guides were true professionals and very engaging. The drivers were helpful and willing to add to our experience with short sidetrips or extra stops.

Wonderful experience. Everything was taken care of and we didn’t have to worry about anything during our trip. The tour consisted of seeing the major attractions as well as some authentic experiences we never would have had if we hadn’t used Odyssey Tours. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to tour India.
