I'm leaving this 5 star review for Mariusz at the Newark on trent branch. Mariusz went above and beyond to rectify an issue with our brakes. We were almost 100 miles from home, and would have had maj... See more

Needed a tyre repairing so called into In N Out Towcester Road Northampton. Liam who I dealt with was friendly and checked out the tyre confirmed it could be repaired and the job was done in 20 minutes.
Great service, friendly and nice to see a friendly face dealing with me.

I have been a regular IN 'n' OUT customer for many years, using the Bracknell branch for every MOT and any repair recommended. However, the complete lack of accountability, poor communication and disregard for a loyal customer has destroyed any confidence and trust I once had for this company.
I booked an AC recharge package costing £138 as the AC had stopped working. When I collected my car I was informed the system had just been empty. I tested the AC on the drive back home and it was working fine, but the next time I used my car (two days later), it was not working at all. I booked the car back in and was informed by a sullen technician that it was probably a leak. When I challenged why this had not been discovered prior to the recharge, I was told the machine doesn't detect every leak.
Later that day I was sent a request for authorisation to remove and install the condenser, along with two photographs, with no explanation to their relevance- cost £893.20
When I returned to the reception I was served by a young member of staff who had absolutely no customer service skills. I requested an explanation but got little in return. We went round in circles with him repeating the same things, as if that's all he had memorised or had been told to say - the machine didn't detect a leak - it had been empty a long time - I don't know. During the exchange there was another member of staff present who was stood beside the reception desk. He averted his gaze, looking away into space, maintaining a slight grin. He neither offered to assist his colleague, or walk away to give us privacy. Perhaps being a female on my own they assumed I was less competent or of lower intelligence. We were getting nowhere and I was feeling uncomfortable and getting frustrated. I collected my keys, took my car and went home.
I strongly suspect that no initial inspection was completed, or indeed any other process undertaken, in order to diagnose the exact cause of the low refrigerant. The rapid loss of gas after the recharge indicates that there was a substantial fault that should have been detected, but they failed to do so. On the booking reminder email it states, 'If your system loses gas 14 days or more after the service, we won't be able to take responsibility, as this may indicate a leak or fault that wasn't visible at the time.' This statement would suggest that if the vehicle loses gas within 14 days (in my case it was two days), then the garage will accept responsibility. This has not been the case at all.
On my return home I studied the company website but was disappointed to find no dedicated complaints department. Nevertheless, I wrote a comprehensive email and sent it to the address provided, but over a week later and I have still not received the curtesy of a reply. This tells me a lot about the company.
Based on my experience, I cannot recommend them and would advise anyone else to avoid, especially if you are female. I have now sourced an alternative service provider, so they have lost a customer.
Matt at the Norwich garage is a lovely bloke. Always friendly, always helpful. Great garage.

Customer service was excellent. Told how long the car MOT and service would be. Contacted as soon as the car was ready.

Booked in with ease, dropped the car off to have the air con mended on the same day. The car was ready for pick up 40 minutes later at a reasonable price

A late review - sorry. I bought my car in to be checked by the Norwich team due to a clanking noise. They looked at the car and thought it could be the left driveshaft. They identified a previous repair to it which was prior to me owning the car.
However, they could not see any actual damage or a problem with the driveshaft and were reluctant to replace it, at a significant cost to me, only to find out it wasn’t the problem. They were cautious because, as they said, a replacement can’t be undone. Nothing else became apparent when they checked the car.
They know my car is rarely used. They advised that I continue to use the car and see if the noise worsens (it hasn’t so far - 2 months later) to aid identifying a fault for repair.
I am very appreciative that, rather than carry out a potentially unnecessary repair, which many garages would do for the money, they wanted to pinpoint the actual problem.
I take my car annually for an MOT and service here and they have also sorted out my air conditioning.
I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending the Norwich team. I am always appreciative of their professionalism and trustworthiness. As a woman, it’s nice to find a reputable garage I can completely trust.
