Abysmal

I have just had to call insinkerator again as the third hot water tank in 8 years has blown. Leaking and tripping the power.
Yet again I have to order another one, which means on average they last 2 years. Any reasonable person would, i believe, consider this unacceptable.
So far i have been offered 20% off another.
Very unhappy with the quality of this product but now stuck as unless i can fill the hole where the tap is i have no option but to replace like for like.

We completely understand how frustrating repeated issues like this can be. While the tank itself is designed to last, one of the most important factors in ensuring its longevity is the use of a genuine InSinkErator filter and replacing it regularly.

Our F-701R hard water filter is designed to protect the system from mineral buildup and impurities that can cause premature failure. Replacing the filter regularly is equally important. If the filter is left unchanged for too long, it can clog and put unnecessary strain on the tank.

For best performance, we strongly recommend replacing the filter at least every 6 months depending on your usage. This simple maintenance can make a significant difference in protecting the lifespan of your hot water system.

Delivery was great

Delivery was great. Very prompt.
Unfortunately a part was missing on the batch feed kit. The telephonist didn't understand what I meant by a part is missing, she kept asking me order the part i needed, what part N⁰ I required and wanted to charge me. Luckily she eventually passed me onto John B, who was understanding and extremely helpful and efficient. It was extremely frustrating and stressful dealing with the telephonist.

Good Product - Minor Frustrations

Returning customer.
Telephone service is excellent. The website for online ordering and paying isn't great but that could just be a glitch.
The product, HC3300 hot tap, is good. We've had to replace the water tank 4 times in 14 years as we're in a hard water area. Despite changing the filter as recommended, the limescale still builds up over time. If we had a kettle we'd be descaling it at least monthly! We've just had to replace the tap itself as the safety lock has failed and the tap is dripping. It would be great if the unit/tank could be de-scaled to give it a longer life, and to be able to replace the cartridge rather than have to get a whole new tap fitting.
We do really like this product and the convenience it offers; it gets a lot of use!

Great service even out of warranty

Sold us the right part with instructions to fit ourselves for our hot tap which is at least 10 years old now, saved us a lot of money not having to call a plumber to do it thank you.

Customer service agent was very helpful…

Customer service agent was very helpful in talking me through a fault finding strategy. I’d done most of the obvious checks on a waste disposal but in the end, with some prompting, I realised someone had turned off an isolator. Silly I know but we hadn’t realised it was there.
