Now that I know how to use the app and chargers correctly I found the charging process easy to use. Ending the charging session was confusing as I stopped charging on the app but it didn't terminate c... See more

I always try and look for a instavolt charger when I need topping up or a complete charge, not the cheapest but I find by far one of the best, works every time first time for me, thank you.

My problem was unexpected. It was the first time I have used Instavolt. I found I could hardly turn the cable to plug in. It was so heavy and stiff. It seemed to want to go sideways and I couldn't turn it to plug in finally managed in the end. But it was a huge struggle. And plugging it back in to the unit at the end was difficult.
I am female and fairly old. I bet it was designed by robust young men.
As a lot of EV purchases will be older people, think about all of us.

First time using Instavolt, never, ever, again, £73.62 for a VW buzz cargo van, feel absolutely ripped off!
It wasn’t even a full charge, gave me an approximately 120miles.
Avoid at all cost.
Update, after 8days Instavolt refunded me £14.31 so I paid in total £59.31 for a charge I could have done at home for around £12

Every time i see an instavolt charger im happy i know it will be fast and im ok .
There just isnt enough of them.

Charged at a measly 40kW on a supposedly 'Ultra Fast' charger. At 89p per kWh, this isn't just poor service—it’s highway robbery. The pricing and performance of these public networks are starting to feel less like a service and more like a cartel.

Im pretty disappointed with the reward system. The amount of charging/ money you must spend to earn £5 credit is quite bad i think. We’re talking hundreds :(. Also unhappy your off peak charging price has also gone up. I feel your customers are not being looked after as well as they could be.

Whilst the chargers around me are always in great condition and always work the price is exceptionally high, cost an extortionate amount of money to charge my car which really is a shame, instead I travel 20 miles to a rival charger and pay just 31p per kWh, come on InstaVolt ya can do better than that!!

Really hard to use the app. In the end gave up and paid the £45 preauthorisation. Then the cable was a real pull - good gym workout!

really bad app. nothing but hassle. app repeatedly does not connect to charge points. customer service is not able to help because there system is limited. not the staffs fault u feel sorry for them because i’m sure they would help of they could. it’s not just the app. when i pay with a debit card it takes money but charge point stop charging. then you have wait to get you money back. 3 weeks pending which after 3 times this happening adds up. £45 each time and no charge.

Still nowhere near as competitive as Tesla and until you are and start to compete with them properly maybe we'll see competion forcing public charging prices down as the costs are capitalist profiteering obscene. How much per kWh goes to your Shareholders? I've seen some Tesla superchargers at 23p and regularly less than 43p at peak hours, so why can't you do this? Ever wondered why in a shared charging location why all EV owners are heading to the Tesla chargers while yours lay dormant and costing money ?

WOW I will recommend Instavolt electric charge point situated at McDonald's.
First time for using EV charging point, I was very nervous at first but I can honestly say once I'd finished I became the most confident. The easiest and most affordable way to use ev charging point is by downloading the instavolt app through ur app store on smartphone, link app to instavolt ev charging point and follow instructions on app, it's so easy and straightforward the rest is history. Plus u have the opposition to grab something to drink or eat while the car is charging. On app u can charge as little and as much as u can afford but if u use ur contactless debit card at the charging point, u have to have at least £45 in ur account before the bank will authorise for payment to go through. So come on electric vehicle users give the instavolt charging app and point ago, to c exactly what I mean.

Very good and reliable charger, easy to use app and more often than not available. Positioning is good with often good amenities.

InstaVolt is a reliable and easy-to-use EV charging network. Contactless payment makes charging quick and hassle-free, and chargers are usually fast and well located. Prices can be a bit higher than some alternatives, but overall it’s a convenient and dependable option for charging on the go.
