So far the experience has been good. There hasn’t been a ton of availability and it’s difficult to get a business to remember to rate you as a worker. It does hurt when businesses cancel shifts 24 hou... See more

Great at first

Jobs are great when available! Customer service sucks you could end up waiting a great deal of days for just one question. They’re quick to close tickets, but not actually answer the actual question being asked. On top of that , they remove shifts without fixing the actual problem. People loose shifts quicker than an actual person can actually reach out to actually help. Emails get through , but are directed straight back to the app. Mind you email is instant sent to you ,but on the website the email is another way to respond back to you.

This place will give you jobs but if you need help with customer service or anything they give you the runaround and never get back to you I have a whole missing payment with the proof and their own app is stating that I have an unpaid payment and I've been reaching out to them for about 3 weeks to get this pay and every time they connect me to a specialist and don't get back to me just giving me the runaround and I don't understand why,

Very annoyed at the amount of jobs I can do because I have the experience but your stupid system won’t add them to my account. Also doesn’t have anything consistent around the Albany area, most of the jobs are 100s of miles away.

I think the concept of Instawork is truly amazing. I wish that I was able to see more shifts when first starting. I realize that top pro and other achievers seen shifts earlier than regular Insta workers when I first got Instawork I realized I wasn’t seeing jobs that other people work so they were taking the jobs first this made it hard harder for me to pick up any shifts, I really hope that there’s some way to work on that..

It's great because the app works decently fast. It's fun and the gigs are exciting. I wish the gigs that get shown to me were closer to my location. I have met great people along the way.

Instawork is the real deal!

So thankful to be apart of such an amazing platform of gig work with likeminded people just hustling to be our own bosses and make it happen. Thank you Instawork for this amazing app and community of people.

Low pay across the board, only good for a few extra dollars in your pocket

The app is great as you can find immediate work once you register and complete filling out your profile and work experience. There are a lot of great hard working people I have met since picking up shifts do instawork. But that’s about it sadly. This app is heavily automated and basically runs itself most of the time. There are many things this company must improve on, such as lower fees for the Instapay feature which charges a 5% fee just to get your own money so even if you make more instawork takes more of your hard earned money. Many other apps charge a flat dollar amount which shows more appreciation towards worker's payments after a shift is complete. It was also very demoralizing to learn that Instawork basically “steals” a large amount of the hourly pay for shifts. An example would be a partner paying instawork 18 dollars an hour for a shift yet, Instawork takes around 3-5 dollars an hour of that hourly rate so a worker on the app is actually only earning 12 or 13 dollars per hour. This is very greedy on Instawork’s side :( since the app is basically running itself yet is taking large cuts do better!

AI has some glitches that hinders accurate pay.
Some gifts are overbooked staff, and they finally realized that and looked for ways to not pay the 4 hour show up minimum pay.
And there is no human staff that can fix errors of AI.

Crew at the Sam’s Club was awesome

Crew at the Sam’s Club was awesome. Teamwork all around.. The only thing I criticize is that the team lead, Trina, asked me to come in at 10:45 AM. I complied so I checked in later and got a text notice that I was late. But I actually stayed till 5:10pm and tried to log out at that time and the app would not let me. So I should get paid for 40 minutes longer than the app says I’m going to get paid. Had a great time. Trina would actually like me to come back and work with them again.

Working at Instawork has been amazing

Working at Instawork has been amazing. I book a quick gig for the day and get paid in a couple of days. This is a perfect side hustle and there is opportunity for full time. Working cashier and food prep at the football and basketball games is the best pay like $23 an hour. Instawork is incredible and I recommend them to everyone!

Pretty good experience

Pretty good experience. I thought it would be more of a hassle like some gig work apps I've been on but this one was pretty well thought out and will recommend it to anyone needing to do respectable and ethically responsible work. Good job instawork!
