searching for an Microsoft-Ecosystem- alternative I found IONOS, who provides cloud- and domain-services based on European locations.
It is easy to integrate in Linux Mint combined with a local Mail-Client etc.
I also had a very positive experience in my first helpdesk-call.
In total : a big difference to MS and a perfect CX.

The support was so kind to use a translator to help me despite the language difference.
I received clear and accurate answers without needless fluff

We then got an email address to contact, but they are so slow at responding, so here 7 days later, our website is still down. Terrible for business and not sustainable at all!

Our website is down, and I firstly can't get in touch with them.

Their livechat never works, and they don't have email support. Negative customer support!

Then I finally go through after waiting in a long queue on the phone, and then he tells me that the site is restored, but my developer just needs to do the last step. My developer can't find anything they have done differently, so now I have to contact them all over again.

Never again!

Terrible. Come on, you connect with lovable and have no idea what's going on.

I signed up for IONOS Web Hosting + VPS in February 2025. Within the first 30 days, I sent a clear cancellation request where I wrote that I wanted to cancel my VPS and all other services.

VPS got canceled right away.

Web Hosting Ultimate, however, stayed active.

In September 2025, I even got a written confirmation from support saying my cancellation was being processed as a “one-time courtesy.”

Yet my account still shows the hosting plan active until Feb 2026, and I keep getting invoices (latest one on Sep 19).
When I contacted support again, they told me I’m tied to the 12-month minimum contract and still have to pay until 2026 – completely ignoring their own earlier confirmation.

So basically:

I canceled within 30 days (money-back period).

I got written confirmation later that they’d process the cancellation as a courtesy.

But they keep billing me and claim I’m locked in until 2026.

That is a scam website, I have purchased a domain name, and after making payments they said it will takes 24 hours and they do give me domain yet .... They are scamming

I signed up and paid for a server. Then this garbage of a company took at least two days to do a so-called "verification". I couldn't use the server during that time. Then suddenly I couldn't even log into the account - it was deleted without any messages or notifications. I would NOT recommend this crappy so-called "company" to my WORST enemy. Avoid it at all costs. Even their app is not working properly - it kept asking me to to verify my email despite me verifying it multiple times 🤣. In 2025 their sign-in page takes at least 5 seconds to load - can you even imagine that?

By the way, their so-called "live" chat is chatgpt without any humans - says so much about the kind of people running this scam 🤡🤡🤡.

Very reliable and (on average) cheap web-host with a good support.

I transferred my domain from IONOS to IONOS, from one account to another. No changes to the nameservers, no changes to the records, nothing. IONOS screwed up, and now my site is offline. According to the absolute incompetent support agent, that's normal and can take 48h.
Absolutely do not use IONOS for DNS, they will take your business off the net with their incompetence.

To IONOS reply. I am not going to invest a single second into helping you to troubleshoot your own stuff. You have all the info required to find out what went wrong - do your job and skim your logs.
I have moved my domain away and will stay away. Something as fundamental as DNS has to work 100%, there is no room for "sorry" and "we will check what went wrong". There is also no room for clueless support agents who don't know how DNS works. If you can't do this right, the rest of your cloud and services is even more brittle.
