My experience with Embio was not the one I expected it to be, it didn't stand up to its reputation. I am 45 years old, my husband is 50 and we are so much longing for a baby. We are healthy and all our labs are within normal rates.
Pros:
1) state of the art premises, polite and professional staff
2) parking on site
3) friendly doctor
4) prompt response from coordinators, but not always
5) acceptable costs

Cons:

1) super long waiting hours to consult with the doctor, and consultation lasts only few minutes (less than 10, inclusive of ultrasound) and the doctor is divided between 2-3 couples at the same time.
2) personally, I had 4 failed attempts in EMbio, but I kept revisiting the clinic, as each time I was undergoing different treatments ( started with IVF, then IUI, then another IVF, then IVF with Donor Eggs). ALL of them resulted in Negative BHCG, and NO pregnancy. Even in the case of twice failed IVF, the protocol never changed.
I was never given any feedback on why the procedure was destined to fail, I was only told that these things happen. I was never given any information on the quality or the stage of the embryos. They transferred embryos after only 2 days of lab growing.
After each failed attempt we communicated to the clinic, we never got any call from the doctor, we had to call and insist on an appointment with him, which resulted only in a friendly advise " we will be successful next time" and zero feedback. Even if we asked for some further investigations, we were told it wasn't necessary.
But each time, any attempt is translated (for us) into a huge emotional and financial investment from our side, and (for Embio) into huge business.
My last attempt with Donor eggs was a bitter experience. I was asked explicitly to pay cash, and when I did, I was NOT given a receipt, so I became quite upset, and only then they accepted my payment by credit card. I was transferred 3 embryos, which is against the state law in Greece, and the transfer occurred in day 2. When I asked why was that, I was not given an explanation. I had the longest 2 weeks waiting of my life, only to have a Negative pregnancy test. By the way, they didn't require an estradiol lab test on day 3 of my cycle, neither they asked for a TSH.
I self checked my TSH, only to find out it was too high, but when I told the doctor, he said it didn't matter. I was also told that there weren't left any frozen embryos, or the ones left were of poor quality.
I was advised on the spot to have another IVF with donor eggs, and I was given a very small discount.
I will not go back to Embio again.
The approach is "too friendly" and less professional. Failure can happen, but the professional attitude of the doctor can make up to it.
NB. I am a doctor myself, and my husband is a doctor,too, so we know the procedure step by step and I wanted to show my trust to the doctor. I also know how to make my patients feel comfortable and happy. This time I was a patient myself, and the patient journey was rather disappointing. The treatment is not up the standards, so as to guarantee success, and we cannot abide everything to chance.
However, I cannot advise anyone not to go to EMBIO, the choice is absolutely personal. I wish every success to future parents and to the clinic themselves.

After many years of attempts in Germany, we visited the fertility centre Embio of Dr. Paraschos in Athens. We knew it already from a former time. Dr. Paraschos gave us prompt and precise advices. The communication always occurred within a narrow time frame and the whole process was organised very well and structured. Elena, our coordinator, is really a talent. She gave us clear instructions and reacted fast to all our questions and uncertainties. Dr. Paraschos and his team is professional and with great expertise in his area.

After the first unsuccessful attempt, Elena encouraged us to try immediately once again, because the success rate would be higher. Although I felt feebly we decided to try again. Approximately 3 weeks later we went back to Embio and I became pregnant at the age of 46 years. We are very happy and thank Dr. Paraschos and his team that our wish has been fulfilled.

Thank you THANK YOU a million times over for helping me become a mom to an almost 1-year-old baby girl! You are the reason for such joy in our lives and I would especially like to thank Dr. Paraschos who, more than anything else, is a professional! I was amazed and felt even more at ease by the amounts of people who I met during the process who knew of his expertise and had already experienced a successful ivf treatment and were in the process of moving on to their next one, as well as by those who entrusted him and his team after having witnessed successful ivf cases of their friends and relatives.

Jason is now 38 and I am 35 and we had been trying to conceive for two years.
I was a bit on the overweight side, with a higher BMI, but I had lost 10 kilos over 12 months. Jason quit smoking to improve both his health and our chances of conceiving and yet, we still had no success so we called Embio on the recommendation of Jason’s sister who lives in Athens with her family.
On the first appointment with our fertility specialist, Dr. Paraschos, we were asked to have blood tests done in order to check my husband’s sperm and see if my cycles were ovulatory. Turned out they were longer, but this could have been due to my higher BMI. The tests confirmed that I was ovulating and in few words potentially fertile with no signs of other risks. Jason’s sample was normal too. Our doctor didn’t determine any other causes so we were facing unexplained infertility. He explained that it is common and the cause of up to 35% of infertility problems and so suggested IUI which apparently is less invasive and a good starting point for situations like ours.
Our specialist suggested we try up to two IUI cycles before thinking of more progressive treatments.
And so we opted for IUI and following the second cycle, I was pregnant!! We now are two very happy people with an amazing healthy baby boy in our lives. Thank you to everyone at Embio for your help!

Dr. Paraschos, the ivf coordinator Elena, every nurse and every staff member were very knowledgeable, kind, and caring. They were obviously very medically oriented, as opposed to just being a "puppy mill". In the midst of my being a patient there, not once did I feel like a number. On the contrary, they looked after our best interest and were very willing to work around our schedule since we travelled from Canada just to be treated by Dr. Paraschos who had treated my Greek Canadian friend with success as well, prior to our try. I recommend this clinic to anyone who is serious about starting a family. The first time I was informed that I had endometriosis, I had not grasped the amount of physical and emotional hardship I was to endure in the future to come. The pains experienced during my period or during intercourse were excruciating. I was diagnosed with an endometrial cyst (chocolate cyst) in my left ovary yet none of my previous doctors had suggested a laparoscopy. Therefore, I had undergone two unsuccessful IVFs in my efforts to have a baby. Dr. Paraschos explained that my problem could be solved by performing a laparoscopy during which the cyst would be removed while simultaneously all the adhesions would be resolved and never did he doubt how much better I would be. Meanwhile, I was also diagnosed with hydrosalpum which I was advised to have it removed while Dr. Paraschos was against this. The operation performed by the doctor and his team was a life changer for me. The surgery went smoothly and all the pains I suffered before, disappeared. I felt so much better and my psychology was improved to such a degree that I once again had hopes of having a baby. As we speak, I'm 6 months pregnant with my first child without even having to go through another IVF. I thank Dr. Paraschos and his team from the bottom of my heart for their immaculate professionalism, consistency and responsibility.

I was diagnosed with breast cancer at 32 years old while at the same time I had my wedding booked and plans to start a family. We had no choice but to postpone everything since treatment was our first and main concern and obviously had priority over anything else. I had to start chemotherapy and was warned that it may have an impact on my fertility, something that brought me a lot of grief at the time. I was faced with a lot of very serious decisions regarding my cancer treatment and knew that any kind of family planning would have to be put aside. About two and a half years later I decided to stop my medication and try to conceive naturally. And after a year and a half of trying without success, we found out that my “ovarian reserve” had been affected by the chemo and I also had a blocked fallopian tube. When I came in to Embio for my first consultation and scan with Dr. Paraschos, I instinctively thought he knew what he was talking about. He had made his research concerning my ordeal with cancer and all its details before seeing me and created a protocol to use less drugs and work with an emphasis on my natural cycle so as not to trigger the cancer. Although I was told that my chances were low, I knew that Dr. Paraschos and his people would do everything possible for me.
Without doubt I believe that no other clinic would have paid such attention to my case. My doctor and staff at Embio made me feel secure and hopeful and reassured me that I was in the best of hands and it turned out that I really was.
I definitely recommend Embio clinic to everyone. That’s exactly what I have already been doing! From the doctors, and in particular Dr. Paraschos, our ivf coordinator, to the nurses and receptionists, everyone was really compassionate and unforgettably lovely to us! God bless them all! Because I am 42 years old, my eggs were weak. So I asked if I could do IVF. And here the EMBIO center answered that it can help me without having to worry about something, as long as I follow my doctor after embryo transfer.

My only concern was how to combine drugs for non-rejection of the graft with IVF treatment, but my body responded well to this combination. Mr. Paraschos and his team inspired confidence and gave me great support.

I started my treatment on September, 2016, and one month later I was implanted with three embryos, but only one was caught with the first.

I am finally pregnant and I wait for my baby in July 2017. I have to give advice to women who have been transplanted and feel the need for a child: Do not hesitate to contact the EMBIO center in Greece. Your dream one day will take place.

We are a couple from Uk and we been told that there are very low chances to get a baby even trough an IVF treatment because the sperm of my husband was very bad, 98 por cent bad.
We have searched for the best clinic in Europe and we found EMbio Medical with dr Thanos Paraschos -as the best and i filled a form and after 20 minutes i received my first email from the doctor, very efficient .After a few emails during a few days between us and Dr Paraschos who by the way he was quick in his replies with full explanations to our questions and videos about the procedure , we have decided to go in Greece to meet the Dr at Embio Medical Center. My experience with EmBIO was great. I was treated for IVF, and was able to conceive from the 1rt cycle. I most definitely would recommend this center to women trying to have children. Not only it is a well-organized and fully equipped clinic but is also stands out for its high success rate of IVF.

Hi there ! Finally I am a mother at 43! thanks to Dr Paraschos and Embio Team. I was very anxious about egg donation until I met Dr Paraschos. He gave me a full treatment plan and made me feel relaxed during the whole process. Being pregnant was something impossible for me until I had my pregnancy test result!!!! The personnel was very understandable and helpfull. The Clinic itselve is a very clean center. Sometimes the waiting times were a bit long and there were not many seats. But this doesn´t matter because of the result of having our precious baby boy.

Everything about the staff and clinic is great. The waiting room was nice, but there weren't enough seats for everyone, and it would have been great to have been informed that the waiting time could be very long. Otherwise this clinic is perfect. We now have two beautiful babies ,(egg donation program)

As soon as we arrived we knew we were in excellent hands, it was that little personal touch and pat on the shoulder by Dr Paraschos that i knew i was special and he would look after us! Elena and Dr Thanos Paraschos made us welcome and explained everything well. We also had a few laughs the greeks have excellent sense of humours. Dr Paraschos was aware we had come along way and wanted results. That is why we had made the best choice and that is Embio. I had 3 embryos transferred and with my daily heparin injections all 3 took. We are now very shortly going to be parents to triplets. I love what Embio has done to make our dream of having a family reality. I will always keep in touch they are like family to us. Elena was amazing from day 1 and even now at 24 weeks pregnant i am keeping her updated. She genuinely is a caring ambassador for efficiency in co-ordination.

I visited Embio from the UK, after seeing people talk about their experiences at the clinic on fertility forums. I contacted them with some questions, and they answered my questions with great detail and attention.

The clinic was great, I was struck by how professional everything was. In Greece this clinic is leading, and the specialists have been responsible for many breakthroughs in the field.

I now have a beautiful baby boy, and I'm going to go back to Embio in a year or so to try for a sibling.

All in all I would recommend this clinic to anyone, wonderful people and very very good at what they do.
