We usually plan and organise everything ourselves, but for Japan, considered it more intelligent to use a local operative.
We are in the fortunate position of not having to count every penny and therefore consider that a healthy profit for the local person is not only reasonable, but under normal circumstances, the right way to get a good return.
Our choice of Japan Travel fulfilled those hopes.
Indeed the person who seemed to be able to look after our silliest requests 24/7, Cheramie, was amazing and probably the best asset for Japan Travel. And most reassuring for us !

Considering the particular period, Expo plus super demanding holiday period, one month prior departure, several services already fully booked, this agency has been the only one to be able to assist us in an excellent way among others (more than 50 agencies were contacted).

We collaborated for months to meticulously plan an amazing two-week trip to Japan. Throughout the journey, I faced no major issues, only a few minor inconveniences. The team demonstrated exceptional professionalism, attentiveness, and provided swift feedback. What better way to use jetlag effect than to write in praise of my fourth trip to Japan aided in every way by this wonderful travel company based in Tokyo.
As usual the itinerary was carefully tailored to my plans and consequently I had a most wonderful and very very happy trip..!!

I was overwhelmed by the travel options available after our ski trip in Furano. I tried to find accommodation at one of the Honshu ski resorts and couldn't find any. Then there was the question of what else we'd do for 10 days. Luckily, I outsourced the problem to Mia at Japan Travel. She came up with a superb itinerary. Lots of really lovely place to visit and stay. Lots of advice on where to eat and shop. Better still, she arranged the best guides to show us around. Transfers were arranged. Flights were booked. Everything was just perfect. I've recommended Mia to my sister-in-law who is heading to Japan soon. Carefree travel in Japan. Thanks.....

Throughout the process of planning Christine was both professional and helpful and ensured that we gained the best possible experience of Japan. Her advice was always first class and her experience shone through, the planning in advance ensured that our trip went smoothly. Our group of six friends has recently returned from a fabulous three weeks in Japan thanks to Japan Travel. Even though some of us were already familiar with Tokyo, Christine ensured we enjoyed a range of new experiences, seamless transport to a number of different spots, and superb accommodation in each. Miakee was the agent at Japan travel that we dealt with. I really don't have anything but good comments about our experience with her. She was attentive to our needs and wants, looked out for things for us in the planning part, and also kept tabs on us while on the trip. The one thing that we were worried about with this trip is that my GF needs to use a wheelchair from time to time. We told her that and she setup everything in ways that it accommodated us. We were also very happy with the local guides she provided. If we were to do the trip over again, i would without a doubt have her setup our tours again.

Just had a wonderful trip to Tokyo and Kyoto organised by Christine. We made the arrangements at the last minute but JT were able to come up with a good itinerary, make all the bookings and give us a lot of advice. Everything went smoothly and worked out beautifully.

Our trip was a complicated one with a lot of people, a lot of coordinating, a lot of logistics, as well as a significant event planning angle, and Masa took it on with grace and enthusiasm and did a beautiful job. He didn’t let complicated plans or details or changes of plans get to him; he took it all in stride, stayed organized, stayed calm, stayed friendly and happy, and importantly stayed on top of everything and got everything done. We are so grateful to him!! We would hire him again for sure. He made our trip easy, fun, and memorable. Our entire extended group loved him and truly enjoyed having him help us make our experience a great success.

We recently returned from a trip to Tokyo and Kyoto, and our group was directed by Masa from Japan Travel. We were a big group, representing a wide age range. We were in the country to tour around, but also to celebrate a family milestone – it was a complex, multi-day, multifaceted event involving guests (including us) traveling from all over the United States, multiple high-end hotels, restaurants and tours around Tokyo and Kyoto. There were travel logistics to consider – both to Japan and within the country – luggage to transport, buses and local guides to coordinate, etc.

Enter Masa, who somehow made everything feel effortless, fielded every issue, both large and small, that popped up swiftly and calmly, and maintained steady warmth, good humor and professionalism no matter what the situation. It was an absolute pleasure to be at this event, and Masa was the quarterback who smoothly guided every element of the trip. In addition to the “big picture” things – the reservations and tickets and transportation – it was the small moments that made us true Masa fans.

There were many moments when Masa saved the day – helping us get a lost bathing suit located and sent from one hotel to another, finding us amazing reservations at local hole-in-the-walls, organizing a day trip to Hiroshima and back, and more… but perhaps the best example I can give is of our last afternoon, when we had to travel from Kyoto to Tokyo to fly back to the States. Masa somehow knew that I was very nervous about getting our many large pieces of luggage to Kyoto Station and onto the bullet train. He came to our hotel, commandeered a van and got us to the train station, where he proceeded to get us tickets on an earlier bullet train (in a higher class of car, no less) and then escorted us to the platform, then right onto the train to our seats and somehow loaded six enormous bags neatly into the overhead racks. He literally only had two minutes to do all of this before the doors closed and the train brought him with us all the way to Tokyo, but he wanted to make sure that we were taken care of. With his signature calm and good cheer, he made sure we were all tucked in, made sure to say a warm good-bye to each one of us, and somehow slipped off the train just a half-second before the doors closed. He also left us detailed, clear instructions to navigate each further step of the way, and insisted that we keep him apprised so that he knew we made it home.

I hope that we get back to Japan soon. When we do, we will absolutely seek to work with Masa again. He has set a very, very high bar!

We just got back from an amazing trip to Japan, coordinated by Masa, and I can't say enough good things about him. He was extremely professional, hard-working and organized, while at the same time, warm, friendly and engaging. We were first connected with him via email because he was planning and coordinating a larger group trip we were joining, and we needed help planning a few extra days on our own. He was immediately responsive, organized, and endlessly patient with my many questions. I would sometimes forget to reply to his emails, but he never forgot to reply (quickly and with helpful detail) to all of mine. Masa was respectful of our budget and had great suggestions of where (and where not) to spend our money.

I understand that he isn't able to be on the ground for every trip he organizes, so we were lucky that he joined our group trip. As I mentioned above, he was so professional and organized - we were a large group and I'm sure all of us had a million questions apiece for him (I know I did!) - he answered questions and provided information to all of us travelers, while still coordinating and trouble-shooting all the details of the trip. He was always easily reachable and quickly responsive.

I think the best thing about him is his ability to get along with everyone. Our bigger travel group had people ranging in age from under ten, to over eighty - and everyone loved him. Masa really took the time to get to know each of us. He had a great balance of remaining professional, while being able to talk, joke, and connect with every single one of us. At the very end of our trip, he made himself available to show us a few more sites before shepherding us onto the bullet train as we headed to the airport. We loved our time in Japan, and our trip would not have been the same without him. It might sound silly, but my whole family would agree that saying goodbye to Masa felt like saying goodbye to an old friend!

Anyone would be lucky to have him at the helm, planning their trip. If (when!) we return to this beautiful and fascinating country, we will definitely plan to reconnect with Masa. With work like he's done, we just have to hope he's available!

Masa Danovitz made our trip to Japan memorable and easy. His attention to detail was impressive. All of our reservations were made with precision. He planned meals and activities for us with our needs in mind at all times. He arranged for extra help for us at the airport when we had a very tight connection. And his very prompt replies to my many questions was most appreciated. I recommend Masa Danovitz without hesitation and enthusiastically.

Masa Danovitz organized a trip for Tokyo and Kyoto around a Bar Mitzvah. There were so many moving pieces for a group that included around 10 children and young adults with ages from six to low twenties and about 12 adults with ages up to eighties. Masa was able to make everyone happy with activities appealing to all ages and visits to many different places. We had incredible dinners and lunches. It was a fantastic trip for every one.

The company hit all our desired sites efficiently, many with guides. Travel arrangements were very efficiently planned and we had no problems with following the itinerary that was updated daily throughout the trip. We saw all that we specified in our wish list. The guides were all very helpful and knowledgeable and met us at the appointed place and time. One guide, one of our best, helped immensely in getting medical care for our granddaughter. All the guides added so much to the whole tour experience.

Our guide Masa was amazing. I would recommend him to everyone i know. He was very friendly and professional. He was very dependable. He made sure that everyone in the group was satisfied.
