The gym is always clean and tidy. It might look busy when you first walk in, but there is plenty of space to workout with a wide variety of machines and floor space. Nicole is an excellent PT and I'm making lots of progress with her. My mobility is improving and I know this will help so much when it comes to building more strength. The sauna is an added bonus which again is always clean. Always staff on hand to help too.

The manager was brilliant he talked me through applying for membership fir my son and am thinking of doing it myself as the atmosphere and facility us incredible.

Just want to give a big shout out to Phil and the Carlisle Team, very friendly and informative, helping me with lots of advice and guidance when I was in the Gym on Friday, thanks again, one of the best Gyms I have been too, would highly recommend 👍

Good staff. Good equipment and plenty of it.
The only problem is the changing room timing.

A much needed refurbishment with high end equipment. Only critique is lack of plyo boxes.

However, the showers are a disgrace. Don’t drain appropriately, will flood out into drying area. Not great after so much money spent front of house. With the significant increase in fees, I don’t expect such a poor post-work out hygiene issue.

Air conditioning does not seem to be in use some of the time and it can get a bit too warm

Best gym in Carlisle, new equipment is top notch and great care from all the team.

Personal Trainer Andy Jackson is especially helpful and thorough, definitely worth booking some sessions with him!

Brilliant atmosphere, great surroundings and staff very helpful. Very friendly place, I go everyday, home from home with all the great equipment it is a pleasurable experience. Fully recommend J D Gym Carlisle.

New Carlisle JD gym - such an upgrade from Lifestyle fitness! Amazing amount of new equipment, makes training more exciting and enjoyable. Better layout with plenty of benches and the new glute area is amazing. General upgrade to the amenities (e.g. changing room/toilets/showers) also. Staff are greatly helpful, kind and look smart in uniform on the gym floor. Could do with some free mats, not much room in functional area and now need to pay to weigh yourself but apart from that great improvement.

Excellent friendly staff. Great set up. WiFi flakey and no sauna yet but promised it’s coming soon.
